  • Behold the US Navy's most formidable weapon, the Electromagnetic Railgun, majestically mounted on the deck of a state-of-the-art aircraft carrier. This colossal railgun, a masterpiece of military technology worth a staggering $500 Million, is capable of launching projectiles up to 100 nautical miles at a speed of Mach 7.5, impacting its targets with a devastating Mach 5.
The projectiles, solely propelled by immense energy, obliterate land, sea, and air targets, not through conventional explosive warheads, but through their overwhelming kinetic energy. The sight of such a display of power is enough to inspire awe and terror in equal measures.
This 32 Megajoule Electro-magnetic Railgun is not just a weapon but a research marvel, rigorously evaluated by the US Office of Naval Research and the Naval Air Warfare and Weapons Department.
In the pursuit of advancing this launcher system, the US Navy has entrusted two industry giants, General Atomics and BAE Systems. Their joint endeavor aims to minimize risks and foster groundbreaking innovation in next-generation shipboard weaponry.
Thanks for your time, and keep watching for more such astonishing military revelations

It's crazy to think the US military had lasers since The 70s

he sheer force and speed at which it propels projectiles is mind-boggling ! Considering the immense power and range of the US Navy's Mega Electromagnetic Railgun, how do you foresee its potential impact on future naval engagements and the overall dynamics of modern warfare? I mean we have lasers now...

Lasers have a use but this is in another league for sure. So I believe they will alaays have a role in the next 15 -20 years 👍

Navy already launch aircraft on the USS Gerald Ford with the EMALS system. It is the same concept. According to Wikipedia it rated at 121 MJ at Max....

The little sign on the side of the gun (BAE SYSTEMS) tells you it's British, it seems the British need the Americans because they have the money.

How there can be no explosive in there if there is a ridiculous sized muzzle flash? 1:47

No time to explain! There is only time for more military advertisement!
Don't think about the weapon they s*ck at building! Look at all the other way simpler ones that work!
But honesty: it's cause they are bad at engineering. The blaze is most likely produced by friction between the rail and the projectile.

The air is compressed so much by the projectile to the point where the air itself becomes plasma

"The raw power of electromagnetism" lol the raw power of electromagnetism is also responsible for our ability to sense, create chemical compounds, not fall through the floor, etc.

If this is on UA-cam, then they have already minimized the size of the weapon to be suitable for the average man( handheld) with a sleek design
