@FUNNYMONEYKID10 I haven't heard "Letter Bomb" in ages. Around early 80s I guess. Me and younger friends listened to a bit of light punk and laughed at it. Blowing up the Boss! OMG! Get real. LOL At leat this has better lyrics. I can't really remember the sound to comment there. I like Deryck Whibley's other songs on Underclass Hero better though. It's nice to find a composer writing about believing in who you are and such things.
I agree the beginning chord progression sounds A LOT like "Letterbomb" by Green Day, but I wouldn't think too much into it. Sum 41 has never been the kinda band to rip off another band.
Sum 41 is one of my all-time fave bands but they rip off people all the time Best Of Me sounds like Hate Me by Blue October and The Reason by Hoobastank, Hell Song sounds like This Is How You Remind Me by Nickelback, The Jester sounds like House of Wolves by My Chemical Romance
