I think that the fact that her title was taken away made her humanitarian work more easier for her because as aprincess she maybe would not have gotten to do some things that she did, she was truly an amazing person...I often watch these celebs who have sooo much power and I think that why dont they use that power to helpothers....but Diana did that , and that alone is special

These same actions were brutally criticise by the deranged british medium, influenced by camilla and charles. but thank God today, the late Princess's voice is still heard even more than the living royals. They took away her body but they can never snatched away her voice and impacts she left behind and can never take away her spirit most importantly.

What the young man is saying here , beginning at 0:45 is a popular myth. It is part of the mythology that surrounds Diana- this notion that what the Royal family did was essentially formal and involved cutting ribbons, unveiling plaques and launching ships. This is NONSENSE.
    But this must be said-
Every other member of the Royal Family has been actively involved in ORGANISING charitable work, rather than just going along when invited, chatting, hugging and shaking hands.
Diana chatted, hugged and shook hands because that was THE TOTAL SUM of what she did,( apart from unveiling plaques, launching ships and cutting ribbons).
Diana occasionally read speech, very hesitantly, and often stumbling over some of the longer words that her speech-writer had included.
    Firstly,
The person talking here seems to have forgotten that the present Queen's parents were King and Queen during World War II, and refused to leave London during the aerial bombing. They stayed right there with the people of London, and went out during the day to encourage people who had lost their homes. The Queen Mother had the Royal gardens dug up to plant vegetables to feed the hungry. Princess Elizabeth got her ambulance license and became an ambulance mechanic.
    Secondly
A little closer to the present, Princess Anne, not a very huggy person, has spent fifty years heading up a major charity to feed the starving in times of drought and war. While the beautiful Princess Diana was walking down a beaten path between minefield, in her stylish slacks and deck shoes, and talking to a well-scrubbed amputee child, the Princess Royal was driving herself around in a 4WD, risking death and kidnapping to reach the drought affected villages,to encourage her staff on the ground, and supervise the provision of food and medication for starving, filthy, bloated children. Next to princess Anne, Diana was little more than a sympathetic tourist...... it was her celebrity status that brought acknowledgement to the issues. Not WORK.
    Thirdly
There is a misconception that the Queen, who at the point when the beautiful Diana came on the scene, was already a matronly woman of fifty, and already a Grandmother, was very reserved, and did not touch people.
Well, it was true that she wore gloves. Back in the 1950s, my Mother said to me, "Never go to town without a hat and gloves." THAT is what we did.
So when the Queen, back in the 1950s, while s still Princess Elizabeth, FIRST shook hands with a person with Leprosy, she PROBABLY had her gloves on.
Diana, on the other hand, lived in the 1980s, when no-one, except women of the Queen's age, wore gloves, unless it was cold, even for church.
    Fourthly,
Diana stories have been widely circulated.
Now keep in mind that Diana was NOT Head of State, was NOT the Queen but was a much freer agent.....
Here are two stories about the Queen- one of which hit the press and the other of which did not.
    1. .The Queen was attending a function at a Town Hall. It happened that a young couple were marrying at the registry office that day, and having their reception at the Town Hall. So, just on spec, they sent the Queen an invitation....... and she dropped in, unannounced, to give them her best wishes.
    2. Many years ago, the Queen's plane landed at an air force base in Australia, about 40 miles from Sydney. The Queen was to be driven in an entourage to Sydney.
All the local children gathered in a particular village, to wave as the Queen went by. .All except one family car, that got lost on a long dusty road.
While the mothers were studying the map, a little girl of eight got out to pick a bunch of dandelions and shivery grass just in case.
All of a sudden, there was the sound of motorbikes in the distance.
The Queen saw the little girl and brought the whole cavalcade to a halt, while she chatted to the child, and received her little bouquet
It could not have happened to a sweeter child!

After reading your comment, it's pretty clear that there was definitely a myth revolving around royal family. But still, the humanitarian works Diana did clearly gave a great impact. You can tell her she did with while wearing good looking dresses and shoes and only touched patients with some safety measures(like touching a well scrubbed amputee child), but she knew that her celebrity status give this disasters and sufferings a lime light and she did her in her own way. And all the charitable works that you told that the royalty did mostly revolves around people in england (except queen elizabeth's works you mentioned). But, diana made it to next level by frequently going to countries with poor economic status such as african countries and shown a lime light about these issues all over the world, even after her title is removed. Even previous princesses and queens didn't do this as much as diana did imo and I don't think that it make the works previous princesses did any way inferior. But, just because diana is not a good speaker and did the works in her own way, doesn't mean the works she did are any way inferior like you are trying to make it. After all, any act of kindness is a good act. Nothing more, Nothing less.

You are talking rot. Well meaning, maybe, but total nonsense! Precious Diana went to Africa just twice, for two days each- for a photo shoor for the Red Cross in Angola, and YES, she DID know that her celebrity status would help the cause which was why she was invited. Her other trip was a very brief photo shoot with a very fanous person, Nelson Mandela- and she did a similar little self-promoting trip to the OTHER REALLY FAMOUS person, Mather Teresa.
How so you compare this with Princess Anne flying out to remote, drought affected villages in Africa, with only rwo security, and one aide, and dropping in by helicopter, to asses the needs of HER TEAM OF WORKERS among the starving people?
How does this match with Anne's trips to Biafra, to Bangladesh, in the aftermath of war, to the refugee camps of Syrians in Jordan?
How does it match Prince Charles raising the funds to vaccinate thousands of children in Manilla, Philippines?
I cannot IMAGINE where you got the ridiculous notion that it was precious Saint Diana who took REAL CARE OF PHYSICAL NEEDS to the starving, war-affected People, of the world.
The person who had done that is her much maligned Husband, now King Charles, and Diana's un-glamorous, straight-talking sister-in-law, who gets bad press for not smiling for the Camera.
Diana did a COUPLE of promotional film shoots. FULL STOP.
Anne, the Princess Royal has DIRECTED this charity, most of her life, in a very active way. Not just patron, not just a crest on the notepaper- but dropping into remote villages by helicopter.
      www.savethechildren.org.uk/
Charles' major umbrella group of charities is the Prince of Wales Trust.
Here is part of the Internation activities-

@@MandyJMaddison Well, they all did that and created change and diana did that in her own way. Why is it so hard to accept that? Why are you having a competition in who did more philanthropy? When did philanthropy became a competition? LOL. That couple of promotional film shoots created a massive impact lol. Not everyone will function in a same way. Why are you getting triggered for a thing like this? If you want to clear a myth, clear it without demeaning anyone. Is it that hard to understand?

    • @MandyJMaddison
      @MandyJMaddison Рік тому

      I quote your previous post-
"... diana made it to next level by frequently going to countries with poor economic status such as african countries and shown a lime light about these issues all over the world, even after her title is removed. -
      No.
Diana didn't "Make it to the next level"
And Diana's very brief visits to VERY FAMOUS people, and her promotional trip to Angola (for two days) DID make a difference to the Land mine politics. And it DID promote Diana, post divorce, to the extent that YOU think her actions were unusual.
      Is it a "competition"?
      Yes! Indeed!
For Diana, these visits were about PROMOTING DIANA.
And how amazingly successful they were!
It is 2023, and YOU are still writing, in your ridiculously IGNORANT way
"Even ...... queens didn't do this as much as diana did"
I have told you- Diana DID what Diana DID because it promoted DIANA.
Diana looked like a catwalk model, or a Bond Girl, and consequently got 98% of the attention. She was an ATTENTION-SEEKING person, nor a nice one, not a kind one, but an entirely self-focussed one who USED her status and Royal Patronages to her own best advantage.
You believe the web of lies and false impressions th that she constructed.
The reason why I am telling you that she only did a TINY FRACTION of the work, is because what you write here DEMEANS THE REAL WORKERS!
When you crap on about what that crazy, self-promoting woman did to get attention, then you are DEMEANING Her Majesty the Queen, Prince Philip, King Charles, Princess Anne, the Duke of Kent, the Duchess of Kent, the Gloucesters, the Edinburghs, Princess Alexandra, Prince Michael and Andrew, Duke of York whose years in the service of his country are conveniently overlooked because of recent accusations. THESE [people are the workers.
Did you KNOW that HM Queen Elizabeth made the largest personal donation after the Indian Ocean Tsunami?
Did you KNOW that Charles, as Prince, had all the toddlers in Manilla vaccinated against Measles? .
Are you aware that Charles has raised funds to set up more than 1 million enterprising young people across the world in small businesses?
Did you know that, after WWII, Prince Philip saw children playing on bomb sites, and , to rehabilitate war-affected children, funded Town Councils across Britain to to claim small vacant sites as children's playgrounds, ball courts and cricket practice pitches?
You talk about Diana doing things in "Her own way". Yes, her way was to put on a glamorous dress, smile for the cameras, and entertain handsome men.
