Nice explanation of the Scandinavian. I have played the Scandinavian with 3...Qa5 and 3...Qd6, but now I will have to try this line.
I have had the most success with the Qd8 line. I've never played Qd6, but I've been thinking about trying it lately.
I play this line Qd8 as recommended by IM John Bartholomew and Andrew Martin. I've had good results!!😊
Qd8 is just the best variation if you ask me 😃
How about the 1. e4, d5 2. e×d5, Q×d5 3. Nc3, Qd8 4. Bb5 (check) ?
That's a good line for Black since you just play c6, which you want to play anyway, but now you do it and gain a tempo.
@@Pegasus-Chess Excellent strategy, sir
The 3. ..Qd8 looks passive
I used to play the 3...Qa5 line for a long time. However, most white players know how to play against it and harass the queen. If white plays the easy-to-remember theory against Qa5, I don't really like the resulting positions for black.
