The reason I love II's musicality so much is because absolutely every aspect of his playing is so intentional. Every drum/cymbal choice and every single note has. so much thought behind it

II is the master of the pocket. Craziest part is he's been playing this well (but still improving) for over a decade. His playing has always stuck out to me, which is why when I discovered sleep token I knew immediately who it was. Same for Vessel.

I remember watching sleep token in the smallest stage tent at Download Festival in England a few years ago and being amazed the entire set, got home and was gutted they only had 1 ep and a couple singles. Seen them like 4 times live since, fucking love them
Dont have chance to see them anytime soon, i found this band last september, and have bought all 3 albums allready. They are just something really special what they are doing with music

Everyone! Watch the way he hits his crash in the final chorus! It’s like he’s moving in slow motion from the crash to the snare 3:45 rewind a few times to actually see it in action. He does it twice in that final chorus
What I love the most about him is he writes these brilliant parts and then plays them differently live every time which keeps it fresh. Learned that last part and it's soo fun to play.

I'd recommend he'd try Skillet and Evanescence. See if he's familiar with it.
I’ve never seen a greater example of a selected bunch of cymbals and drums that completely fit the tone of the rest of the band
He’s really good at filling the spaces between hits and yes a fantastic array of voices from those cymbals. Just awesome.
