I'm relatively newer to the scene. I first came across pChal through his Blaze Black video soon after I watched Jaiden's first run. It took me over two years from that point to where I finally attempted (and completed) my first nuzlocke of Pokemon White. Since then, I've gotten better than I was, and I've realized the most important part of any Nuzlocke content on UA-cam. And that's what the Nuzlocke means to you.
Honestly my favorite Nucklocker is FlygonHG both for his comedic setups and even his storylines in videos primary Spheal Team Six which was very fun and showed a creativity within this concept that I love. That fits with the friends you make idea.
Spheal Team Six is a great video! FlygonHG is one of the creators who gives me the most hope for a more balanced and nuanced approach to nuzlocke content on UA-cam
Thanks a lot, I'm happy that there are people who have realised how nuzlockes and their vibes for a lack of a better word have changed, It has been a long time but I used to read a lot of nuzlocke comics on deviantart and the nuzlocke forums so this touches me a lot
Thank you! It's something that's been bugging me for a long time and I finally felt like I wanted to put something out there about it. Check out some of the runs in the description if you want some of those vibes back :p
That last point especially resonated with me because I hate how overly logical people take nuzlockes. I'm a soft lover so I focus hard on the friends part and tend to use weaker mons rather then immediately boxing them or calling them bad encounters.
Indeed, the culture behind nuzlocking has changed. However, who's to say that's "bad" or "wrong"? It has lost some of the focus on friendship and heart, but it has gained focus on skill and game knowledge. One of these should not be held over the other, even if it's not to your preference-you are still free to treat a nuzlocke however you wish, a point that is fairly widespread with the different rules, approaches, and reactions seen from nuzlockers across the internet. If you're upset with people doing something for content rather than enjoyment, that is a widespread issue far from limited to nuzlocking.
I’m not saying I’m 100% right or the arbiter of all things nuzlocking, and I totally agree that the issue of doing things for content stretches way beyond the bounds of nuzlockes. I just find the modern nuzlocke culture personally frustrating as someone who got into nuzlockes for those reasons of emotion.
Perhaps, but I think the point of this video was to try and start a conversation about these different sides of nuzlocking since one side is so dominant now, and I can’t push past that dominance by acquiescing or being half-hearted.

I was wondering why I was seeing this the day after I watched Soda Crab's video lol
PETTY NUZLOCKE MENTION THEY INTRODUCED ME TO MY LIFE WOULD SUCK WITHOUT YOU BY KELLY CLARKSON
Oh, and arbitrary first cause why not?

@@serenity_ren_ Perhaps your video came across as a bit more vindictive than you intended.

@@serenity_ren_ I see what you're saying now, but you could've made that more clear in the video.
I was going to say that this video being copied is lame but the original has soyjaks in the thumbnail so you're better
