I was working at Sound Warehouse record store when this cd broke! I immediately grabbed one of the first copies. The Zoo should have done more with this lineup. Billy Thorpe and Bekka Bramlett were incendiary together on stage! Bekka Bramlett is incredibly underrated as a singer and the two years she was in Fleetwood Mac YES SHE WAS! Should have showcased her hard driving blues singing instead of trying to make her do sappy love ballads. They had Christine Mcvie for that. The Fleetwood Mac album "TIme" that came out in 1995 could have been a new beginning for Fleetwood Mac if they stuck to this formula but they played it safe and the album basically went nowhere. Such a shame. Yes Stevie Nicks was gone but Bekka Bramlett is a great singer in her own right with just as strong as vocals as Stevie Nicks just more bluesy. I think shes incredible.
nobody was buying that version of fleetwood mac i saw them play with pat benatar and reo speedwagon in 1995 on long island. reo speedwagon was billed as the headliner for whatever reason they played second and let fleetwood mac headline that night. i have never seen a place empty out so quick there were about 10 thousand people at the show by the time fleetwood mac got to their 4 th song people were leaving in droves never saw anything like it by the end of their set there were maybe a thousand people left in the audience
We got F**Ked by a stage power outage, only 2 songs by the Zoo, 20 mins of Bekka chatting with us and then the problem was resolved and those A$$holes, Cheap($hit) Trick tossed them from the stage and that was when we left...(Rapid City, tour kick off '92), as did many others, CT was too loud for the Arena(seems they did not do a right and proper sound check), we heard them better a block away along the Rapid Creek trail...
Thanks so much for this posting Puns! Zoo "Shakin The Cage" album was great, every song. Very over looked by many people...you have any more of this live that you could post??
Well, that's a first. I've never seen anybody put a Fender Jaguar vibrato system on a Gibson Les Paul. In some odd way it seems sacreligious! :-) Great song anyway...Bekka's the bomb!
I'm glad I got the see them in club in Buffalo NY, Impaxx I think, Good Times
Kenny Gradney of Little Feat on bass! Whoa, how freaking great is this? ☆☆☆☆☆
Anything with Bekka Bramlett is terrific by me! Thanks for posting.
