Since only Jesus has been truly righteous, what does that mean for everyone else? Alistair Begg helps us understand this righteousness is a blessing found in Christ, not an achievement earned on our own. When the truth of this grace captivates our minds, our lives will be conformed to God’s will.
You have described my adult children. They have heard the Word, questioned the Word, challenged the Word and embraced the world. It is heartbreaking. I will continue to pray for Truth to pierce through the darkness of their souls and of the world.
If they truly got “saved” the Holy Spirit dwells within them and will not leave them ! Pray for gods spirit to convict them and change their hearts ! Do not “preach at or to them , be be the love of Jesus that persuades them in truth !

The Bible has a Old and a New Testament.... AMEN... Both
In America we have 2 versions of Christian counsel. Some counselors follow the bible while others don't.
Only *one* of those groups can *rightly* be called Christian counselors.
I have composed a tune involving this most Blessed scripture and I’d love to Receive any opportunity to Share Him. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. ABBA Father God Greatly Blesses every viewer in Christ Jesus’ Name, Who is Far Above All names.
Q: What IF particular or most verses of Psalms were conversations, pleas, acknowledgments, praise and encouragements between the Father, the Son and the HS and are mostly recorded/transcribed words between them pre-world, incarnation of Jesus, etc.
WHAT would happen and how would we love and see the Triune God even more... when we could read and hear conversations they had IF Psalms were studied wholly in that light just one time...rather than centering around David or man??? Those many pronouns are there for a reason to unravel Who said What to Who and possibly when......AND it all begins with Psalms 1.
Of the descriptive verse 1, there is only 1 man, 1 God who this describes... and it is none of us, no matter what holy religious activity that we think we can do....verse 1 is descriptive of one Person only and it is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the next question is...Who is actually saying this about the Son????

Such a great sermon.
At the end of this sermon, you quoted a verse. It was something like "Seek the Lord while He may be found." And then you talked about God's word not returning to Him empty from Isaiah 55. I keep coming back to the Isaiah 55 chapter for the last couple of years (along with Joshua 1), and for the last week, the verse about seeking God while He may be found has kept coming to mind. The passage about the narrow and broad roads in the Sermon on the Mount makes it seem that maybe 90% of us are on the road that leads to hell. Somehow it just seems right to me that the remnant who makes it to heaven would be a tithe of all the people who ever lived on the earth. What you said, for instance, about us being wicked seems in line with the communication I seem to have with God lately. This helps. Mr. Blackaby said something in Experiencing God about how you can know that it is God speaking when things line up, with several godly-seeming messengers echoing the same instruction. Thank you, and thank God.
Try not to add to scripture that which is not there, by indicating that a tithe of those who go to heaven equates to the remnant on the narrow path. This is called eisegesis, and such assumption is not good as it leads to wrongful teaching.
What Alistair says about mankind being wicked "lines up" with what *the Bible says* about us, because that's where he got it from.
Communication with God must come through *reading the Bible,* not ideas from our own imagination.
"Seeming communication with God" is a deception unless you mean that God is speaking to you through the scriptures.
"Things lining up," is not how God speaks, but is stepping onto a path to deception.
"Godly-seeming messengers" is a *totally inadequate* and unreliable *measure* for receiving instruction and guidance. Please don't go down that route.
"Experiencing God" happens when you *read His Word* and gain some insight into the nature and glory of God, and begin to understand your own sinfulness. You don't "experience God" through impressions and emotions from inside yourself.
Watch that you don't be deceived!
I am not sure his comment about the women in the office getting coffee is correct about the women being wicked, that is an overreach. He seems to take license here just a little. I do like his message but would like a little tighter construction.
She is wicked because she rejects God. That is the message of the Lord throughout scripture. It offends our sense of the kindness of God, but it is His right as the holy and righteous creator. We are either with Him or against him. There is no wishy washy middle ground.
Wicked to us today may have a very negative tone, but in the Bible it means "rejection" or "rebellion" of God. It would had been nice if he would had explained how it was used back then.
