Hi Katie. Can't believe the relief driver that they paired me up with today! I had just pulled into the station, when he jumped onboard and immediately criticized my attire, which, by the way I was wearing because I was up at 7am, in the freezing cold putting together a consist of 300 metres of aviation fuel. He then proceeded to open MY window saying it was "stuffy" in the cab. I DO NOT have a problem with body odour, I am just trying to keep warm! He then criticises my parking. Just because I'm a woman and the break wasn't set just the way he likes it. When we got to Heigenbrucken he sarcastically told me to stay put while he does all of the work despite us both getting paid the same. Well let me tell you, I was not in the best of moods having been up so early. He did try joking around later on by messing with MY blind and having a joke about MY window, but I just gave him the silent treatment. When we finally arrived at our destination (which seemed like a lifetime, by the way), I heard him call me a miserable woman as he disembarked. WELL IS IT ANY WONDER! Anyway, enough about me. How is Michael and his personal problem.
Hi Taffy. Sounds like an English driver I know. I'm aware that the English can't drive locos compared to us Germans. This driver climbs on top of fuel tanks, near LIVE overhead wires. Is he trying to get himself killed? He just shoves his way through passengers waiting for the next passenger service, and even falls down between the train and platform as if he's 'betrunken'. Not only this, but when he gets in the cab, he can't even use the throttle and brake properly, trying to throttle up before the brakes have discharged and released. He constantly whinges about walking back a mere 300m to uncouple a banking loco. I believe he's been reported to DB HR. I hope it wasn't the same driver. Thank you for asking about Michael. He was able to secure a truck driving role recently. As for his "personal problem" he'll be having surgery for it in May. I hope David and the kids are doing well. Did Stephen get into Oxford? Love from Katie.
@@arokh72Thanks Katie. I do believe that he was English. I am glad that you reported him to DB HR. I am sorry that Michaels antibiotics didn't work, but I suppose that surgery is the best answer in the long run, and it's fairly cheap nowadays to change his name to Michelle. David and the kids are doing very well thanks. They should be out of therapy very soon now after their holiday in France and the incident with the truck driving maniac. *** Steven ended up going to the university of Exeter doing some sort of "Ology" course. Lots of love, Cathy.
***Squirrel seventy tonne volvo part 2 24:00 - 26:00
LOL
Umm
arokh72 Am English and I Drive a Train
That’s kinda hurtful
20:20 I was so not expecting to hear the "RETARD" but when you said it, it was just joyous since I was already hearing it in my head :D
What I would like to see is a Canadian style cargo train, you know the ones that are like a mile long with 4 or more engines.
I want that freight train with the option of travelling from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Vancouver, British Columbia. At 1:1 speed. (Yeah, I know they probably wouldn't be able to make a map that big, at least not without a heckuva lot of procedural generated scenery.)
Microsoft train sim 2022!? Yes please!!
@@bobweave6333 And could you imagine if it shared the same world with the flight sim people in real time? God that would be cool.
@@Cheezdealer AND THEN.... MICROSOFT BOAT SIM 2023 and all three sims are together in real time. I have MSFS 2020 and its sooo good. When you fly low by water and you see some cruise ships its awesome.
Great to see you back. Last time we died on the 3rd rail and now the overheads ;)
Lol
Paul hauling away all the av-gas he just bought now that prices are low 😂
completely different fuel
GWR Productions 2014 it’s a joke mate, respect the drip.
Noel_p2002 🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂
Speaking of walking the length of the train, I had to walk the length of 50 containers today, I think it was 0.9miles, I was thinking maybe keep a bicycle in the loco xD
Beautiful scenery! I know a lot of players complain about the DLC prices, but I don't think they realize the incredible amount of work that goes into making a route.
13:30 The scenarios are designed to be story based, if you look at the Oakville Sub. Route that was released last year two of the scenarios link in together (Break it down and Equipment Move) that's the same period of time from Two perspectives. The great thing about Service mode is that its linked and you can drive from Say Ashafenburg to Gemunden jump out the train and get in another.
That 2.3 grade on the cars was what the handbrake is rated for btw
The gradient on the cars (2.7%) means that the handbrake of the car will securely hold it up to a track gradient of 2.7%
Unless they have changed something, pretty sure those 4-light diagonal signals are pre-signals and only have 2 greens and 2 yellows.
2 yellows mean the next one is red.
1 green and 1 yellow does not mean that the one after the next one is red, but that the next signal shows reduced speed, green-yellow on the bulky one.
All three signaling systems are German, yes three. 2 are from West and East Germany, and the third one is the new one
41:18 says looks safe while sticking his head in the overhead power lines !
Love the vids man!! You’re one of the reasons I decided to start making content, and now I’m really enjoying it!!
One thing i've found out about this game, if your banking comms isn't on, the rear loco just rides along as cargo, that's off by default when coupled with locomotives on either end.
21:56 You'll want the top pressure gauge on the right at nil, and bear in mind the whole train needs to release the brakes. ;) Nice video!
The cars actually seem to be rater for a 2.7% bank in the tracks. I'm sure the cars can go up as much of a slope as you can pull them.
for signals, the upper is the main signal and the lower is the distant signal, green-yellow indicates a change of track. In the distant signal when there are two green ones in the next main signa is green, green yellow in the next main signal is green yellow and two yellow ones the next main signal is red
green-yellow indicat that you have to drive slowly e.g. 40 km/h not that you gonna changing tracks
P.S. sorry for my bad english
@@AlinaDegurechaff Yeah, but mostly is shown when there is junction coming
I used to stop at spessart services on the A3 on a regular basis. Beautiful scenery
Ooh now that was interesting. Seeing something that is close to home. Although we haven't had snow like this for a couple of years now. Was a bit disappointed by the super silent breaks of the train though - if something that heavy breaks it is an infernal screeching :D
Also the casual wear of the train driver is pretty accurate. Usually only conductors or the drivers of ICE and other fast trains wear uniforms.
My friends uncle runs a train here in America. When he inspects his train cars, he keeps a pit bike on his Loco and just rides it down the length of the train! Lol
the unloading point for Arlanda is middle of nowhere and travels in pipeline to the airport but it works!
Train driver from Belgium here, the gradient on the wagons, is the max gradient of the track where the 'turning brake' ( not sure of translation, in dutch it is SCHROEFREM ) can be used
According to that signal at 36:15 you could have entered the siding with 100 km/h. Or it shows nonsense.
He could but he knew that he had to stop so he braked early
The 100 is in reference to the main line speed only. The signal should have shown green/yellow though for langsamfahrt I think? Such a fun game but I really wish little stuff like that would be fixed!
This game needs to have a conductor simulated. Only in Europe would 25 cars be considered a long, heavy freight train. Let's see you do a 135 car coal train, with 200,000 pounds of coal on each, through the rocky mountains. After that, take a 300 car intermodal train with two 67,000 pound containers on each car. Train lengths are measured in miles, not just meters. Unfortunately, common US trains are rarely done in simulators.
"Train lengths are measured in miles, not just meters." - Yes, and America is the only country that exists in this world 🤦♂️
The point when his mic was cutting and uncutting when he was screaming heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee when he was trying to stop.
When you mentioned FitBit I am reminded that someone said that FitBit is like a Tomagochi but the stupid creature we have to keep alive is ourselves. :D
I love how you can stand near the catenary wire on top of the wagon, without getting turned into a crisp XD
the haz-mat plate 30/1863 means: "fuel, aviation, turbine engine".
8:20 The train isn't picky, you just didn't have the reverser in forward 😂. I recommend PTGRail's German signalling tutorial if you'd like to learn more about it.
Squirrel,
The yellow in the tractive effort gauge may not mean it has energy reclamation (as in sending power back to the grid), it probably just means you're in dynamic braking, which judging by the loud fan sound when you're into heavy braking, the energy generated from that is just dissipated by a resistor grid with a cooling fan blowing across it. I assume that locomotive uses blended braking (though I don't know for sure) so that when you're in the brakes it automatically uses both the air brakes and the dynamic brakes, as opposed to having separate handles to control them independently. I don't know that for sure though.
This loco has an electro-dymamic brake that delivers energy back to the grid. The energy you deliver back to the grid can be used by other trains on the same section of overhead wire.
Great video Squirrel I love your train sim world videos they are so interesting and nice to see Germany keep up the great work
Count yourself lucky Paul. I did a CSX haul where I was back and forth with a load which was 0.8 miles long - thats 1400 yards to you and me!! No need to exercise for me.
At 40:00... Climbs fuel wagon and says "looks safe" whilst clipping into the overhead wires lol
a lot of Opel Insignias over there.. but all in white? I don't know.. i like your journeys!! Take care
Happy birthday! Iknow im a little late to say it but i just wanted to say Happy birth day! I hope your back is doing good
Love your vids!
At the start of the scenario, you can hit ctrl + R and enable the AFB system. It will take your load off dramatically.
TSW: it’s all about the experience
Detail valley: it’s all about the REAL experience
Aviation Squirell and Train Squirrel united!
So by the time you reach the destination you have had to run 1.6km just to couple and un couple the rear engine!
Great video :-) Just a little side-note: The ability of a train to break is down to the cars, not the loco. The loco's break is only used if the loco is driving alone or with very few cars.
I'm very happy to have rediscovered you. Didn't know you were off for a while. I like your Squirrel videos much better than the Squirrel Plus.
He stood right beside the OH wires & didn't get electrocuted 😂😂
I'm very glad you've started making videos again. Will there be any flight sim videos?
I would like to see an Indian rail style freight with 1 engine and almost 1km long
I miss your Train Sim videos
19:20 m pretty sure you can do the decoupling from the external free camera
This video is what my exact scenario when I have a shower thought moment but the amount of train wagons are more and the train being the same length as the ore train in Mauritania
I actually did this haul and got a silver Medal. Got useful tips watching the video. Thanks.
Good video I was trying to figure out the detracting trains. The game has nice scenery. I will watch your other videos.
More to do when in isolation. Love the videos!
The banker on that route would never couple, and pull back during the drive. After the pull back it stops and drives back down the route it came from. Only on downwards help it would be coupled.
The weight of 23,8t written on the side of the car is the tare weight of the car itself. Fully loaded freight cars often weigh close to 100t or more, depending on the type of the car. You can see the capacity of this particular type of car written a little bit to the right, in a cylinder-shaped graphic and is stated to be 62 100 litres. The little table with letters and numbers on the right denote different weight limits of the fully-loaded car on different railroad lines. This particular type of car can be loaded to the weight of 41,4t on class A-lines all the way to 67,4t on class C-lines.
komsomolac interesting!
"The weight of 23,8t written on the side of the car is the tare weight of the car itself." - Almost. 22550kg is the wagon weight.
23.8t is the brake tonnage of the hand brake
That tractive effort gauge is just wrong. On the BR185 the scale for traction will go to 300KN, and the scale for braking will go to at least 150KN (or more depending on configuration).
I'm back playing TSW so good timing with the upload :)
You know that the back can help you brake and accelerate that way you don't have to make a long vechice
Glad to have you back paul 😍
Long run. Imagine conductors in the United States that have to walk regular train lengths of over 1 mile long. Sometimes 2 miles long. Those trains are normally over 100 cars long.
08:25 "It's very very picky about that" I mean you didn't have it in forward? Numpty?
So, yellow green means that you get a new speed limit written on the sign or if nothing stands at all it means 40 kph. Yellow yellow is prepare to stop
The reason the train wasnt moving at the start is because you didn't put the reverser into forward, you had it in neutral.
~25 cars x 22.5t per car x ~$450/t for aviation fuel = ~$250,000. Not a huge price tag, but definitely considerable.
20th!
Amazing Video!
Edit: That train at the beginning was fast (The Tesla Train)
Would be nice if the train wheels were kicking up snow.
Your train sim vids are great, keep up the good work 😷👍
Anyone else see the double greens half way along the train after he uncoupled the rear loco?
That's 23 tons EMPTY. Add 50 tons per tanker for the aviaiton fuel... (density about 0.8 that of water)
Wish I could have enjoyed like you ......
You are too Lucky
More My Summer Car!!
Very cool.
Hi squirrel! Do you use RailDriver?
Also the first time the train didn't move was because you had it in neutral :)
It’s not picky it just wasn’t in forward 😂
Yay, another Squirrel video 🤩
@Squirrel I'm sure you were right the first time...it's Airbus not Boeing :)
I am dreaming of italian routes for TSW. It would add for more variety in both landscape and train types. We now have mainly british/german/usa trains. For example in the ligurian zone, the route from Genova to La Spezia (cinque terre towns included) would be amazing . It is 80 kms of scenical wonders. if anyone did this, you know what i am talking about...
Hey, the 2.3% is the maximum incline the manual tank/car brakes will hold on...
A
Hi love your vids squrriel
Can you please next do the Doppelstock Delivery on MSB and Heavy Metal on RSN w/ the 185.2, both engaging and challenging (w/ PZB) freight scenarios
In India we used 4 engines to climb the 🗻hill.
Fantastic ride. These fuel wagons are allowed to drive maximum 120 km/h.
In real life, you would need some really good brakes.
But the 120 km/h is only for empty wagons. When they are loaded it is only 100 km/h
The train can go with 120, if the train's brake meets the requirements.
@@dusty.7792 yes, but only when the cars are empty
So you didn't go to the Arctic to get cheaper Aviation Fuel this time, Squirrel? Is it still a shut down there due to Storm (-works)? LOL
Any opinions on anti-aliasing settings for this game? There's so many thin lines (fencing, electric wires, etc) that TXAA just kindof ruins the whole look, but TAA definitely makes things look a little blurry and dreamy. Has anyone done any more extensive testing with the in-game settings paired with graphics card settings?
"It's days like these that reminds you of why you became a train driver". Call me old fashion, but if I were pulling what amounts to a small nuclear explosion behind me, I'd rather do a more sensible speed. 70mph seems a bit excessive considering the payload.
Love ur videos man
I bet you one General Electric AC6000CW could pull that but EU trains and NA trains are very different here trains can weight as much or more than 15,000 (us) tons and can be miles long with hundreds of cars.
Hey Squirrel. How Are You. Stay Safe And Healthy
But would how quickly would you overheat a de2?? (Joke, different game i know)
More people on a village trainstation then on any of the "rhein-ruhr main" main stations LUL
Pretty sure I saw agent 47 at the beginning lol
That’s a lot of oil for -$37USD.
I’m surprised there is somewhere in Europe that has room to store all that oil currently. 😂😂😂
Love this game and play it often but only... I run a GT 630... 13 FPS average on absolutely lowest settings. Yay and don't have the funds currently for a proper card.
In this thing is TSW not so realistic, so how TS. This fright trains much time not go over 100 KM/h allow to drive. You can't stopp full trains with this speed. But TSW say, "Yes drive 120 KM/H" ;) "Or may be faster, why not?" ... Only empty fright cars drive with max 120 KM/h, stay also on the wagons on the side, how much they did can drive. Also how much can say take of goods, by what for a quality route.
It make fun to drive this locomotive in real, too :) ... that was my first three-phase locomotive what I had drive at Germany from 2008. Have only drive diesel locomotives for shunting service :) and little drive on large routes. But for really drive that, must you do something more , then this game was told you :) ...
And sorry for my English, my last school lessons are really long ago and I use English not really often for talk on Internet.
On a scale of one to ten, where are we at with this product?
Not much use for aviation fuel nowadays
Today i bought this game any tips for first time rides ?
Hi keep up the good content
I have this scenario on PS4. But, not done it YET!!! 😕 I'll eventually get around to doing it ONE DAY!!! 😃😁😊 in the not to distant future that is.
We do have a third party loco the dB br class 204
It's OK they probably don't need the fuel after all
I did the math on this it looks like he was hauling about $2.7 mil worth of fuel
