    As one of the final exterior upgrades, I wanted to tie my front and rear carbon fiber together with the awesome CF side skirt extensions from Kies Motorsports. They are subtle, but look perfect for that final complete look on the exterior of my 435i!
    This is a really easy install, and something you can do in under 30min or less with almost no tools.

    I took the sidepanels off, so I could clean them proppely and could see what I was doing. Just unscrew the plastic screws from underneath, the rest is clipped in. Much easier

    Do you have run flat tires on your wheels?

      I did yes..

      @@BMWDIYGuy do you really feel the difference going from run flat to conventional tires?

    • @BMWDIYGuy
      @BMWDIYGuy  3 роки тому +1

      @@biggboi1967 There can be a very significant amount of difference and there are many great comparisons out there. In general run flats are harder tires, noisier and can be less responsive for enthusiastic driving. That is a general view though and encourage you to check out the many great tire reviews.

    The screws they send you will not self tap as easy as these guys say they will. You have to drill the holes into the actual skirts of the car. Yes, these skirt extenders come with holes, but you have to pre-drill the holes into the actual car skirts to get the screws to go in all the way. Do not use a cobalt drill bit. Use a normal steel drill bit.
    These are definitely not as easy to put in as this guy claims (or the other UA-camrs that say the same thing). Sorry, they're just not. This is why you don't see him actually putting the screws in. He shows the tape attach, then jacks the car up to show them with the screws already in.
    These skirt extensions do look amazing though. I put mine on my F32 2018 440i M performance coupe RWD.

      Awesome you like them as well, and solid feedback on the process. Its always a balance of not showing too much and too granular, or not showing enough and summarizing the work. Always a balancing act..
