Hairdressers are truly blessed to have a gift of giving and making people feel good. This year I'll be licensed for 40 years. I wouldn't change a thing. I've met the most amazing people on this journey. I've learned more from working behind the chair than if I went to a university!

My mother went to Mabel's every week. As a little girl I use to love going to her salon. She was the first hairdresser I ever met. Now I have been a hairdresser for 38 years with the past 14 in my salon in Hubbards. Thank you Mabel for the great inspiration!

Mabel reminds me of my grandma t, who used to wash my hair in the sink, and cut, petm and put my hair up in curlers in the bathroom when the boys and men were in the house. When it was just us women and girls, she would set me on a stoll in the kitchen. Grandma didn't like for the men to see us girls in curlers or perm rods!!
Does anyone know if she is still doing ok?
I used to get haircuts from a nice old school beautician.. did better than the barber. I Bet Mabel can give a good men’s haircut..and would gladly let her shampoo and cut my hair.
I also need a nice tight perm to give Mr " FLUFF"
