Maybe a weird question, but is it possible to map camera on/off to the record button? I'm interested in making a soft water-resistant shell for the camera, so it would be necessary to turn on the camera with the push of a button, not flipping a switch.
That's a great question. Unfortunately I don't think so, but I haven't tried

5:15 , how to exactly calculate the effective megapixel change for full frame to APSC crop ?
When you go into the camera settings under the "quality" you will see the megapixel number change after selecting crop mode.
I heard the menu button functions as a back button when navigating the menu and can be very annoying as it's placed quite far away from the arrow dials. Is there a way to program one of the closer buttons to be the back button?
can you customise the exposure comp dial? (since it doesn't do anything in manual mode anyway)

The default aputure wheel is left alone in this. I show it in the video so it maintains it's aputure control

Honestly not a big fan of the EVF on this camera. It's pretty small. I never use it though so it doesn't affect me
