This is true and also, there are two flights.
The flight of the hyksos and the Exodus.
I know some aren't keen on Josephus, and I at first had the same view. He seems to wrongly wish to see the Hykos story as the Exodus. But the more I dig in to his account, it's quite good. He is skeptical of the Exodus version as told by the Egyptians. And while there are differing accounts (it is Josephus that is retelling most of them) he rightly points out how their details belie the various Egyptian narratives. It would seem the Egyptians felt a need to paint the Jews in a highly negative light, overly so, and this makes the most sense as the story being a source of embarrassment, for a kingdom that officially touted only its glories (as they all did).
It is only unclear whether the account best fits the end of the 18th, 19th, or 20th dynasty. Unfortunately the reigns and kings given become somewhat confused, and a number of Setis, Ramses, Harmais, and Amenophis name variations are all present at those junctions. Nice puzzle.... God is clearly amused. 😅

It's almost like the stories of the Bible were just that stories, to carry forward culture through many ages... from coptic Egyptians, to Greek gnostics to the Hebrew and sumerian pageantry and then to the Roman catholics... it's it's the same stories, about the same stars, given personification which fit the Era...

Ah yes - astronomy - the most mystic arts... literally it's the science of the stars and the religious passage built on the myths of their motion...
