Considering their last game PGR. I think it will be. That game just casually puts characters on the brink of death and no return. Even the Commandant (you) also almost dies multiple times bc you fight alongside the constructs.

Isn't that the point though? The story is ongoing and you will see it to the end. This is the beginning of your participation and shows a stalemate, an ongoing war with no winner, seemingly unending. Suffering, but people willing to challenge it. You may perhaps mark the difference.
To me at least it totally pumps me up to start the game. Reminds me a bit of the attitude of the DS3 title screen, gives you an epic start and challenges you to start the game like "I dare you to try me".
Because this is the looping instrumental for the login screen. The actual song is Saving Light, they used it in a trailer.
I still love it the way it is tbh, but I kinda get what you mean. I’ve felt that way about other tracks.
This one feels like a piece that definitely has room to be expanded upon. And I honestly think it will be. It’s the main menu music which usually means it has some larger significance to the story, and will be played again at some point. Maybe then, we’ll get a longer version.

Well, they added the Vergil's chair on the top of a mountain in the game, some attack movements looks similar to DMC and the name of the song is Saving Light.

I love the fact that Wuthering waves is much darker than Genshin, The only reason I am play Wuthering waves alongside Genshin, HSR and PGR is that it also offers a unique feelings.
Idk about you, but I like the gameplay much more in WW, it's so dynamic with the switch combos and the '3D combat' (What I call 3D combat is like every character can jump high, dodge swiftly and attack from the air, which you couldn't do in genshin without the corresponding character), it adds much more adrenaline and thinking to the fights. Or at least, it's my opinion
@@losheler9204 Yeah they're taking a lot of their design philosophies from Punishing Gray Raven into this game. In PGR, switching consistently maximizes your damage and it's all about speed. While they kept a lot of the "switching increases dps" philosophies, it's a lot more of a slower game with strategies to the fights and I am enjoying that a lot more than PGR.
Darker as in story or environment? Genshin's story has some real fucked up shit, especially in Enkanomiya and Khaenriya.
@@Solararisa afaik that stuff is in side notes and stuff around the world. Most of the main story is pretty tame from what I've been told from friends who play.
@@Solararisa Darker Environment, Genshin have a very bright and "happy looking" places except Chasm, Some places in Inazuma and specially Tsurumi Island.
I like the first one but this just fits the tragic but hopeful feeling the game portrays.
Naurrr, I don't think I can handle the tragic but hopeful feeling of Kuro Games!!! (I already cried at, like, Encore's Resonator Showcase video aaa.) Real talk, though, I know I will enjoy it. If it's tragic but beautiful, then it's worth existing.

The beat at 0:33 feels normal the first time you hear it, but it becomes stressful and a bit cringeworthy when it comes back again while you're stuck in loading.

The darker themes of WW is definitely one I prefer over Genshin’s jolly dolly theme, makes sense since Genshin went for the breath of the wild theme
