i mean it has so few phonemes that you can make a vocaloid speak toki pona in a way that sounds good no matter what language the vocaloid was originally intended for. way easier than getting a japanese vocaloid to speak english with english's 500 secret vowels
thank you for this! you did a good job for mine (jan kala en jan pona), it's interesting to see what other people hear a the most prominent line but it's not surprising that it's the highest one lol
Honestly i like some of these better than the originals, like at 1:13 it has such a different vibe from the original! I'd love full covers of these songs and not just the snippet from kijetesumikyoku!
very good, love toki pona music. was very excited to see monsuta here because i don't see it very often... well anywhere really. was surprised to find a toki pona cover of bad apple. the sudden lojban threw me off- overall very good
kalama pi ilo kalama Miku li pona a! sina pali pona a! Seriously, this arrangement is great. tan lukin ni la, mi wile pali e kalama musi lon toki pona kepeken ilo kalama Miku :P
Can we have the titles of the songs? The only ones I recognized were Bad apple, caramelldansesn, stronger than you, modern major general, and Wonderwall . But the other songs were bangers.
@@tokiponafan4112 Fun fact: this is a coincidence because Indonesian has the word "epiku" which happens to mean the same as toki pona "epiku". According to lipu Linku, toki pona's "epiku" comes from French épique. According to wiktionary, the french épique comes from ancient greek epikós (romanization). It has no data on "epiku" from indonesian, although i suspect it comes from the same root with the same meaning. The etyomology of the word forks and eventually leads to identical words in unrelated languages that aren't derived from each other. The wonders of language that such a coincidence can happen, and even if just by pure chance, google translate is able to understand toki pona.
HECK YEAH
omg jan Misali irl?????
jan Misali "I wish there were more songs in toki pona... Wait a minute!"
A few videos later...
jan Misali "Perfect."
jan Misali!
sina lon ni a!
Jan Misali is here!
its the jan himself
I need this for more songs. Toki pona is deadass the best language for vocaloid

kijetesu-miku-yoku
the kalama nimi pi toki pona part was so good, i want a whole cover of that song with this voiceover now
First, she remembered 10,000 digits of pi,
Now, she remembers every single word in toki pona.

I love waso wawa at the tempo found in kijetesumikyoku!
Half of this was way too high =D but 2:57 and 3:48 actually sound really, really good
lol that's the price of both using the base midi and miku being unintelligible at lower ranges
Hatsune Miku has a high voice naturally, so it would sound unnatural for it to go any deeper beyond one's expected range
Absolutely insane
I adore this
the minimalistic music in the background just makes this even better
Need a full version of 2:58
This is amazing!!!!!!
God the first song is such a bop. (And so is the original version) I kinda wanna see a full Miku cover of it tho

random question on a 2 year old video: can you make an entire cover of kili ike with miku? her voice sounds really nice in this and i like it
ni li pona!

all the song titles are in the upper left corner! i will add timestamps when i get the chance though :)
Many of these are original songs in toki pona and don't have English names, so the toki pona name in the corner is the only official name of the song.
epiku
Fun fact: this comment, if you literally tap "Translate to English" it literally translates to epic, which is the definition of epiku.

can you do this for ryuupekosi when it comes out
a mi olin mute e ni!
ilo kalama Miku li kalama e "nimi ale lon toki pona" la ni li pakala e kute mi, taso ni mute li pona
ackshully, there is no “y” in the toki pona language, so the title is incorrect
take it up with jan misali who made the original medley
kid named yupekosi
pona mute
UST/VSQX?
thanks for reminding me, links have been added in the desc :)
