Thanks a lot for watching and safe journeys!
Gabe I was thinking about you and your visit to Israel/Palastine recently and what has happened in the last 24 hours. I am glad you are safe as you never know what is going to happen in this crazy world. My heart breaks for those innocent folks that have been killed, tortued, and taken hostage. Thanks for taking us all on adventures that seem amazing. Stay safe!

The bus-stop was probably just a small sign, rather than shelter, so I'm guessing it was probably well hidden by the foliage
Red telephone boxes in the UK were mostly replaced by glass ones in the 1980s, and then those mostly disappeared with the advent of cell phones. The few red ones which remain are either in historic areas or in villages and those now often host book libraries or defibrillators.
Suprised he got a dial tone.
Our village red phone box is used as a mini local museum!
All other glass phone boxes are either vandalised or stink of pee!
,?
In my county in rural California there are no working telephone booths, just ones left to remind us of a bygone era.
They got rid of the Red ones because tramps would piss and sleep in them.
Oh..Gabi…felt so sad to see you walking so far…almost losing the way. Thank God ….you got a bus to save you walking more. God bless. Always pray to your Gardian Angel starting your day.
Gabriel your adventures are never boring. Just love how you fly by the seat of your pants! ~ Cara 😊
Why are there so many downtrodden people apologising in the comments section? 😂
This is not London its Essex and he's in the countryside. Gabriel is big and wise enough to learn and adapt.
Edit: Cocteau Twins are ace 👌
It's UA-cam!!
Play along. 🤣

Gabriel walk facing the traffic before you get knocked down.
Every time a travel vlogger goes to England there's a flurry of English commenters cringingly apologizing for the weather (even when it's sunny and mild), the cost, etc. The seemingly ingrained English trait of self-deprecation is so annoying. England is a truly wonderful place to live and visit.
@@laudermarauder Glad you enjoy rip off London.
@@laudermarauder couldn't agree more.
Surely you have some London-based viewers who would have gladly rented you a guest room at mate's rates!
Also technically Stansted is in Essex and not in London, although airport authorities call airports near London as London Stansted, London Luton, London Gatwick, London Southend etc
Burton End i think is Herts?
@@andysm1964 no it’s in Essex
@@dee74raz thx for that,wasnt certain
Stanstead airport isn't in London.
You should come to Yorkshire you will feel like your in the middle east but colder.
I was in London for 2 weeks back in July. So bloody expensive! 😮 accommodations, food, you name it. Spent 40% more than I had budgeted. I think I’m done visiting that City for awhile. Back to low cost Thailand😃
He is from San Francisco, I was there a couple of months ago and in relative terms is way more expensive than London.
Haven't been to London since I was 13. Have lived in cities and they are all the same, travelling doesn't appeal to me as much as just moving somewhere permanently and going on short trips.
Funny I didn't find London so expensive, hotels apart, 2 of us stayed in London for 4 days ,including all buses and underground and food £200 ,went into a Sainsbury's on tower bridge rd ,it was the same price as our local Sainsbury's in northern Ireland ,sure u can spend £75 in china town ,but that gets u 4 or 5 courses for 2 ,or just buy 2 single meals for £25 all in, in my sixties and fed up doing the beach thing,All I can say I left London on a buzz, Iam going back before I die
Your 30 mile from London at Stansted
@@sopissedoffinteresting! I was in London when it was difficult to find too many hotel options. I stayed at a 2-3 star hotel in tiny room for £139 a night near Hyde Park, plus £15 for breakfast. I felt underground fare ok, but taxis or Uber were expensive. Pub food like Fish and Chips ok, but a decent meal at a decent restaurant, I felt expensive. Took a train to Worchester and found that town cheaper
That was briliant. Your comments were superb and highly enjoyable from begining to end. We were all quietly in your backpack, enjoying the ride. Loved it. 🙏✌
6:07 I looked on Google Maps, you needed to go to the right as the man said, and the bus stop would've appeared after around 400 metres' walk.
That gathering looked like a fires safety drill to me. They’ll sound the alarm in the office and everyone has to evacuate the building to a specified meeting point outside, where they are headcount.
Gabriel , Thank you so much for sharing some of the sights in London. I have been hoping for a very long time to see a series on England , or UK. I have never found such an important tour . I appreciate all you hard work , in creating a tour , wherever you go . Great channel ❣️❤️ I am from rural SE Georgia USA . A native of rural NE Florida .
Gabe, I stay at the Jolly Brewers pub in Bishop Stortford when flying from Stansted. It's usually a decent rate for a room. From there it's a just a few minutes walk into town. And there are several local buses from the airport directly to the pub.
Man, it’s nice to see you in London, my home town, sorry for your hard morning though, but very very interesting to see what it’s like for a traveller! Appreciated!!! Can’t wait to get to see more! Keep going please 🙏
You don’t need an Oyster Card for transport in Greater Londen as contactless (debit or credit card) does the same trick and saves you the costs and hassle of buying an Oyster card and topping it up. An Oyster card is useless to and from standaard airport anyway.
As many people have pointed out, Standsted is not London. It is in Essex. Not sure why you did not stay closer to the airport terminal and arranged transport from there. Rather than walking on that rural area that is not welcoming for pedestrian at all. Or chose another airport. Funny you basically walked by the X40 bus stop and did not notice…
Anyway. You’re such an experienced traveller, a bit of more research would’ve gotten you a far better travel experience 😉
The hotel was literally right next to the airport. I don't have time to do in-depth research on the exact situation of every hotel that I stay at. You can't be prepared for every circumstance and what may or may not have been the better choice after the fact, it's all part of the adventure.
Great to see you in Blighty! Hopefully the next time you come I’ll be around!
I love the old blighty (UK), I lived there for 3 years.
Thanks Gabe for the vid, you are always so inspiring with your travels
The common mistake is people flying into Stanstead, its the hardest airport to travel into the city, you are better off flying into Gatwick, Heathrow or london city airport for direct connections
I took the only available direct flight from Sardinia to the UK. There are lots of direct buses from the airport so it was easy enough once I got there.
You might have been able to flag down the bus outside of London around stanstead. They are not London buses that will only stop at an official stop they are likely to be a local community type bus as well as stopping at the official bus stops.
I suggest you go to the Yorkshire Dales and also the Lake District- some of the most beautiful scenery you will find anywhere and marvellous walks to go on. Ignore the chronic moaners in the U.K. - plenty of them which the U.K. is famous for - but truth be told outside of London most things are affordable and the U.K. of course is full of extraordinary history at every turn. A wonderful country.
I visited the Lake District back in 1990, probably my favorite place in England.
I couldn't agree more. There is so much breathtaking landscape in the UK. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in the world. I feel blessed and proud of my country 🙏☀️🎺🎶🙂🥁🎶

We were in London 3weeks ago fir a wee city break I love London Big Ben now its finished looks stunning in the sunshine. Enjoy ❤
Hi Gabe, Greetings from a long-time follower. Nice to see you doing a London Vlog. 👍❤
Welcome to England! I know Stansted well and those roads are not great for walking (as you have shown!). It's incredible that you were so close to the airport yet it's such a pain to get to the terminal, unfortunately there was no other option and walking to a 510 bus stop was the cheapest way to go (although there was one before the one you found). The Stansted Express train would have been another option once you got to the terminal, I think it's about £20 and goes straight into London Liverpool Street which is in the City of London. Have a great trip!
Welcome to the UK. On behalf of my fellow countrymen and women I will wholeheartedly apologise for the weather you may encounter😂
It amazes me people who comment on the weather when coming to the UK , it's like going to Norway or Sweden saying how cold or not tropical it is , we are geographically in the northern hemisphere which puts us between the cold north and the warm south the jet stream , however we don't get the cold like Europe countries whoch go down to -15 and below
It's quite warm at the moment, 20c for October is ridiculous for us.
Thanks, that helps. 😁
No one cares
@@89.about what?
Wish you would stay in the UK for a bit Gabe! So much to see and do that I’m sure you haven’t seen or done on previous trips there! I have always thought a series living on narrowboats and traveling the canal and river trust system would be awesome and up your alley! Just a thought for a future trip!
Welcome Gabriel to our country, so funny to see you here.
It's great to see you walk down our country lanes, i'm not far from Stansted
It's cheaper to pay for London transport by tapping in your normal credit card (for one off trips). Oyster cards are only cheaper if you know for sure you will be travelling through all four London zones and doing multiple trios in one day or for however long you purchased the Oyster card for. Also the traditional London red phone boxes disappeared long ago they are only keep for tourists to take photo's in a few central London locations. Also Stanstead is not in London it's in the County of Essex. a one hour train bus or coach ride from London
We still have the traditional red phone boxes in Gibraltar!
Hello Gabe glad your safe and well have a great time in the UK ❤
I personally think it's one of the best places for travel . Wales, cornwall, the lake district, london, the cotswalds, The history, the roman remains, Birmingham, york, wales, old buildings, castles. All within no more than 2/3 hrs away from say Birmingham.
All better in nicer weather but obviously we don't get much 🤦♂️
Nah man U.K. is a right sh*those I’m unfortunate enough to live here, why God couldn’t I have been born in France or Norway?
Yes Gabe, come to Liverpool again as you didn't see it properly last time.. Love watching your videos/travels. Keep on cruisin' ✌️

Hey Gabriel welcome to London 😊 I live in Hertfordshire, would love to meet you. I watch all your videos and you're a true inspiration....take care my friend.
Just got back from London a few weeks ago. Took my mom to Europe for her first time. We loved it stayed in Hackney Central and took the bus everywhere.
Hey Gabe, I for one don't mind when your videos are long, the longer the better!
I recommend Norwich in the UK, the countryside around Norwich is fantastic too, with the Norfolk Broads. The North Norfolk coast is beautiful too, Holkham is my favourite beach there , Wells-Next-The Sea and Brancaster are very nice and also Salthouse for wildlife.
He doesn't need to see people with 6 fingers per hand and a family tree that is a straight line
@@frederickvondinkerberg7721yes, in Norwich the high percentage of people with snaggled teeth and weak chins are strong indicators of single line family trees, similar to American Appalachia.

@@Elatenl yeah, it had me wincing a bit.
He's too used to those "exotic" countries where it's more of a free for all in terms of where to walk. I'm just worried he'll start walking into people's gardens and try opening the doors of old "historic" looking houses (like he does pretty much everywhere else that isn't the USA) and get the police called on him.

Glad to figured out it’s generally safer to walk on the side of the road facing the traffic.
Lovely choice of music after your epic walk (Cocteau Twins). The airport car park buses are free because the cost is included in your parking cost that you pay upfront.. Just hop on
Stansted is 25 km outside the M25 circular. that is definitely what we'd call in the UK.. "out in the Sticks!" 🤣
Such beautiful sunshine & countryside. 🤗
The countryside is rubbish there it’s all flat
Check out Isle of man! It's beautiful! Ride the steam train, and visit the Calf of Man at the southern end. Very interesting historical town there called Cregneash as well :) Our visit in July was unexpectedly awesome. Their castle ruins are also *very* cool
Hi Gabriel, you have amazing adventures & good teacger.
Welcome to England! Been watching you for years. Cool to see you in my home nation. Compared to everywhere else. There’s some really cool history in the uk. Check out Roman ruins!
Well, Gabriel, if you operate with the Stansted Airport only, the interesting academic city of Cambridge is nearer than the center of London from there. But yes, I believe that you also have other three London main airports in mind when you want to fly from there.
Hi there, glad London turned on some sunshine for you! I haven't checked back to your videos from before I started following you, but if you've not been to Anglesey (Wales) hiring a car and driving around the island is a great experience - nature, rocks and some seriously old ruins 😊) you might enjoy it on one of your visits in the UK. Hi Gabriel, that was a long walk just to get to a bus stop, they couldn't have any service just to get you to the bus stop. London is an amazing city much to see, around London and I know you have seen a great deal of the city so at this point you must be planning where to go next.
I love traveling more than anyone I know BUT i don't understand how you don't take any weeks off at a home base. Traveling is fun but I get burned out on traveling pretty quick.
In many country areas where there are few actual bus stops, given it is safe for them to do so, a bus will stop if you signal with plenty of warning. That lay-by at 9:27 for example.
The only airports within easy reach of the centre are Heathrow and London City. I live in a London borough and recently drove to Gatwick to collect a friend. It was a 72 miles round trip.
Man Gabe you escaped the middle east in the nick of time, things are blowing up over there stay safe
I'm back in the Middle East now actually, but all is well where I am. You'll find out where pretty soon. But yes, it's damn lucky I wasn't in Israel now, such a tragedy.
Have you thought of staying in the vicinity of Paddington when you are in London? I hear there are some fairly sensibly priced places to stay in that area of London. Some good pubs too.
Be glad you went to Isreal when you did. safe travels.

Gabriel you can get an extension on your 90 day visit… all you need is a good reason and being a travel vlogger it is a good reason. Have you tried getting an extension?
From what I've heard getting an extension isn't really an option, unless you apply for a digital nomad visa, something like that, which is certainly worth considering. If anyone has any further info feel free to share it. But either way it's all good because I've been in Europe for almost five months, it's time to move on.
