I (DAD) SHAVED MY FACE FOR THE FIRST TIME (WITH A RAZOR AND SHAVING CREAM) IN 15 YEARS! I was literally nervous. I have had some sort of facial hair since I was 18 if not earlier! This is a better response then I got. I remember the first time I shaved my beard when my boys were little back in the mid 90s. I always had a short trimmed well groomed and partially shaved (neck, cheeks, chin, and top half of moustache) beard and moustache. But as happens, every now and then a slip with the trimmer meant starting fresh. Not a big deal because I could grow it back in a month. My 4 boys were little, 6yo, 4yo twins and a 3yo when a trimmer slip necessitated a fresh start. I walked out of the bathroom and they saw my face but I was unprepared for the horror filled faces and tears that I was confronted with when they noticed.
I hadn't thought it much of an issue and to be fair most other people hardly even noticed in the following days. But the boys were not okay with this and it was akin to body snatchers taking their dad away and replacing me with a weak facsimile. Everything from demands I put it back to refusals to eat dinner until their dad came home that one twin, Alex, actually made a 2 day effort at. Enough that I considered sleeping on my boat for a few days just to get him to eat. We even had to endure a concerned phone call from the twins' Headstart teacher. Things settled down after a few days when my whisker shadow had come back in substantial enough that I was able to shave the outline of my beard and they were less upset because they realized it was a temporary thing. It was a traumatic and drama filled couple of days for them though, lol.
because they know in their heart that it's natural for a man to have a beard and they unconsciously know that man should not shave their beard but it's just what I personnaly think about their reaction
I love it. My dad did the same when I was a teenager and he also looked so much younger. You should not grow it back. I love the reactions, especially Henry. Also congrats on subscribers, what a jump.

@@kos_m824 i agree, i mean it's not only what makes a man, a man but we do have beard for a purpose. The only special case is men that can't grow full beard, then they can go whatever they want, shave or beard parts

Wow! What a change! You do look younger! So handsome. Henry's response was priceless! My husband wore a mustache his entire adult life. When our daughter was 5 years old she asked him to cut it off. He did it and the difference was astounding! He was 43 years old and looked twenty-something! 18 years later and he has never grown it back! You may find you like it better this way!
