Thus was one of the best home tours so far - and it was just a studio apartment! I love her attitude, and it was nice hearing someone speak more about themselves personally, and their thoughts behind why they chose to live the way they do.

It’s such a fucked up thing that rent is this expensive for what used to be a poor part of Brooklyn. Growing up here, I would never have thought that mfs would charge this much to live in a small apartment. It makes me so mad 🤦🏽♀️
That’s gentrification for ya. These big name rich people create these buildings and charge so much for it. I don’t blame the people living in them, I blame the people who keep making these big ass luxury buildings
The same thing is happening where I live in Florida. Rents (and house prices) are skyrocketing. I have no idea where lower-income people are even going because it's happening in their areas too.
@@pinkpanda5696 factssss. That’s the whole point of it all though, to drive out the low income ppl to make way for the wealthy. The people who are supposed to ensure the best for us usually are just doing so to turn a profit on us 🤷🏽♀️ it’s a shame how little we’re taken into account and helped for that matter.

She must have gotten this during Covid when rents were lower because as NYer, trust me, this is an insane deal given the location, apartment and luxury building.

You did a great job with the small space. The design/layout is the best studio ever. I remember my first apt, [ over 50 yrs ago ], it was a studio. I agree the worst thing was having the kitchen sitting there in the living space. I enjoyed your tour. You were delightful. I am 76, yet your "joie de vivre" and confidence reminded me of my younger self.

Yeah but I would encourage you not to splurge on a perfect apartment like she is doing. Make sure you have enough savings so as to never go back to the way you grew up.

I’m from North St. Louis. I don’t know anywhere that a trailer park is next to the projects. I never saw a trailer park until I moved to Georgia.
I’m from St Louis. There are there. Just not known. Mostly older white populated areas. She looks by racial. Probably in the area close to Riverview/ North St Louis County line. if that helps. She probably equate Section 8 Housing as projects. Peabody projects was torn down on the 80’s
