@@mangnuraj, actually, he teaches Ellen G. White's teachings AND the Bible's doctrines. Her beliefs ARE Bible-based, yes, but she adds teachings that are not found in the biblical text, which is why SDAs must refer to her writings, along with the Bible, when they teach. I respect Pastor Doug's impressive storehouse of SDA beliefs, and his ability to clearly articulate those beliefs, even though I don't agree with the entire package. I know the Bible well enough to know when a religion has added to it or adheres to it. And I admire someone's ability to be a skillful apologist for his belief system.

This speaker has failed to grasp the promise of the master teacher promised in Jeremiah 31:34. See the passages below to understand this promise.
Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
The Holy Spirit is the master teacher for those who are members of the New Covenant Church by being "born again" of the Spirit of God. See the verse below to understand this process.
Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

"Now the LORD said to Abram, "Go forth from your country, And from your relatives And from your father's house, To the land which I will show you; And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing; And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed." Genesis 12:1-3.
"In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice." Genesis 22:18.
"The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The scripture does not say, “and to seeds,” meaning many, but “and to your seed,” meaning One, who is Christ." Galatians 3:16.
"Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses." Acts 13:38.
"For the promise that Abraham would be heir of the world was not made to him and his descendants through the Law, but through the righteousness that comes by faith."
    Romans 5:13.
"For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, because it is written: Everyone who does not continue doing everything written in the book of the law is cursed. Now it is clear that no one is justified before God by the law, because the righteous will live by faith." Galatians 3:10-11.
"Why then was the Law given? It was added because of transgressions, until the arrival of the seed to whom the promise referred. It was administered through angels by a mediator." Galatians 3:19.
"Is the Law, then, opposed to the promises of God? Not at all! For if a Law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come from the Law." Galatians 3:21.
"Before this faith came, we were held in custody under the Law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So the Law became our schoolmaster to lead us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster." Galatians 3:23-25.
"To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the Law I became like one under the Law (though I myself am not under the Law), to win those under the Law. To those without the Law I became like one without the Law (though I am not outside the law of God but am under the law of Christ), to win those without the Law."
    1 Corinthians 9:20-21.
"And He has qualified us as ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. Now if the ministry of death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with such glory that the Israelites could not gaze at the face of Moses because of its fleeting glory, will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious?" 2 Corinthians 3:6-8.
"You foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed [as] crucified? This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh? Did you suffer so
many things in vain-- if indeed it was in vain? So then, does He who provides you with the Spirit and works miracles among you, do it by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?" Galatians 3:1-5.
"For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, because it is written: Everyone who does not continue doing everything written in the book of the law is cursed. Now it is clear that no one is justified before God by the law, because the righteous will live by faith." Galatians 3:10-11.
"But now that you know God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you are turning back to those weak and worthless principles? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again? You are observing special days and months and seasons and years! I fear for you, that my efforts for you may have been in vain." Galatians 4:9-11.
"The Law is only a shadow of the good things to come, not the realities themselves. It can never, by the same sacrifices offered year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship." Hebrews 10:1.

@@Samuelson8169 "16 ALL scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" 2 Tim 3:16 so use the WHOLE scripture! The scripture clearly expands on John 3:16. Christ himself says in Matt 7: 21- 23 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!" Get that? "practice lawlessness" meaning SINNING (breaking God's moral Law, the Ten Commandments!) Christ also says "If you love me, keep my commandments" John 14:15 " He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” John 14:21 "He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me. (verse 24) "He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him." 1 John 2:4. STUDY THE WHOLE OF SCRIPTURE BROTHAS AND SISTAS! GOD BLESS!

He says I will write my laws on their hearts people will not automatically throw away the law in their hearts he said you are saved by grace through faith and not by works. if God's spirit is in man he will automatically keep the law of (love because it's written on their hearts )not by works if you're appreciative of what Jesus did for you on the cross you have love and you will do his will and the spirit of God is imparted to you. otherwise it's just works.

You like many have misunderstood Adventist, we believe we are saved by grace through faith, which produces works, James makes it clear by saying Il show you my faith by my works!
      James 2.17-26
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

I've got a few words of encouragement in the midst of what's going on. It might sound wierd, it is for real and I thought it would be important to say it.
Its long because I've tried to and any faqs!
Hopefully this will answer some of those nagging questions -
Why can't evil be forgiven and let off, how is the whole "Jesus dying" thing really relevant to anything? To you? if you still have any questions let me know x
Ever struggle? Ever doubt that God Loves You After what you've done? Ever wonder if He exists for that matter? Read this:
All of us have lied, stolen (even tiny things count), spoken badly to our parents and had embarrassing and detestable thoughts in our thought life. The Bible calls this "sin", the breaking of God's laws. You might think, so what? Everyone lies and thinks bad things about others! Its human!
You're right. That's exactly what the Bible says, we're "born into sin" and that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" - Romans 3:23
What is that "glory", morally speaking?
Well, the opposite of human nature and desires.
Not lying, not stealing, and having a perfect thought life is God's standard for us.
But if its God's standard and we were made in "God's image", Why don't we meet it?
Well, Remember Adam and Eve and when they sinned. Before sin they were perfect in thought word and DEED completely, but after the first sin occured due to Satan's tempting in the Garden, it destroyed that part of us that was morally perfect and in perfect harmony with God's morals, standard, and love. So while we kept certain things, the ability to be thinking individuals with unique personalities, the moral part (affecting how our thoughts, actions and personalities operate) was damaged. To the point where we are "opposed" to God, hence His nature and standards being the opposite of what we see as reasonable or possible. The Bible even makes it clear that "apart from God you can do nothing" - John 15:5. Without Him, it will 100% feel "opposite", unreasonable and alien to us. Only WITH Him can we gain victory in these things.
Why doesn't God just let sin off and leave it?
The Bible describes God as a "righteous judge", many wonder why God doesn't just let sin off and leave it, but He can't. Why? That's like a if a judge let off a
murderer who broke the state law. Everyone would attack that judge and call Him corrupt, saying that he had not done right and should be fired for failing to punish the murderer for his evil. AND to completely love and be good as God is, means you need to, in turn, hate all forms of evil. You can't truly love good unless you hate the existence of evil.
This means that God needed, as a righteous judge to punish sin with the ultimate penalty of death - expressing His hatred of evil - and separation from His presence forever. Hence Hell.
"The soul that sins shall die (in Hell and suffer damnation)" - Ezekiel 18:20
But God, who is also love, did not want to see His creation tortured and cut off from Him. He cares so much for is that He couldn't bear to see us fall into Satans hands and suffer death, even though we broke the law and deserve to bear the guilt, pain and be cut off from perfection forever through damnation.
Because of justice, God could not leave sin and evil unpunished, BUT because of LOVE, God provided someone else to take that punishment on our behalf, satisfying both justice (by punishing the evil committed), and love (by sparing OUR lives) despite our sin.
God sent His own SON - think about that. His *Son*, the one whom He loved infinitely (the same way He loves us).
God allowed Him to take the pain we deserved, He took ALL of Gods wrath for every single sin you and I have committed. He was punished brutally and completely as if He was the picture of mankind's sin itself so that we do not have to be punished.
Back in the courtroom scenario: He paid the "fine" at His own expense (His life had to be morally perfect on this Earth, then He had to be killed as a sinless sacrifice on our behalf).
So when He returns to remove all evil from the face of the Earth, we can be spared and free because Christ has already BEEN punished on our behalf. He then rose again on the third day, conquering not only life and sin and temptation, but DEATH.
"I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live (immortally and eternally in Heaven when I return)" - John 11:25-26
ALL we have to do is accept it by faith. Faith alone in Christ alone.
Religion = rules to be saved
The gospel = Christ saved us already we just have to believe it by faith. If you lack faith (as I did before), pray. He will make it strong it time. Trust Him as you would trust those close to you. He knows you even better than that. He created you and knows you inside out.
    ...WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
What does it actually mean for us?
It means we can be completely free from the penalty of damnation.
Not only that but we can be restored to Him and recreated into His moral image AGAIN as long as we accept Jesus having paid the price for us and accept Him as our Lord, the one who is in the front seat of our lives. He has a plan for your life, He's created you for a purpose. Just remember that. A purpose that includes being recreated into His image, one you can only accomplish through Him and reliance on His power and by following HIS way of life.
What is this new way entail?
It entails love, true love and service and aid to others, to "love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength" and "love your neighbour as you love yourself" Matthew 22:37, 39.
Sharing the message of Christ's death, resurrection and soon return on this Earth to give justice OR mercy depending on what the person chose.
    Sound "opposite" again?
God knows it sounds opposite, which is why, as The Bible states, this is NOT something we can do alone. It's not in our nature.
We need a new nature in the front seat, and the first step is to repent (turn from and reject our sin, pursuing the opposite direction and drawing close to God)
Christ will give us an actual DESIRE to do these things. Through the, Holy Spirit, sent by Him to us after the ascension. He speaks to us through thoughts, verses, ideas and prayers and guides us so that we gain a desire to follow God and be able to do these "opposite" things through Him.
    ...
What is the way FOR though?
Firstly its to save you from sin - the only way to gain victory over sin and not have it as your master is through having Christ as your master and following His aid to resist the devil's temptations.
Christ lived down here for 33 years suffering EVERY FORM of temptation that you have ever faced - "who in every respect [has] been tempted as we are, yet without sin" Hebrews 4:15.
Therefore He is able to help us through our struggles. When the devil knows people have left his camp, he always tries harder with more temptations and evil attacks. BUT - His way is also there to guard and teach you daily in the midst of this (and despite this) sinful, selfish world.
The path He wants you to walk is one of committment and love - its not about rules and regulations to save us - what Christ did GAVE us salvation. All we need is faith. The rest, the "fruits of good works (the will to obey and follow Him)", are what come through true, maturing faith. It's all about faith and the relationship God wants with you just like before sin arrived.
God preferred His own Son to be tortured And *killed* to give a chance to us (who broke His law of perfection) so that we can live as His children again. He wants us to love and trust and worship Him.
What if I still find myself sinning after I have accepted Christ?
That's why Christ died, For our sin. His death doesn't fix us in a snap like that, but it does protect us from the damnation that our past, present and future sins would bring without Jesus.
It's a process - a lifelong process - of God bringing you back to Him, away from the destructive pleasures of sin (greed, selfish temptations, trampling on people to gain). This takes a *lifetime*, as it does for all, but NEVER give up, when you fall, know Christ paid for that sin you committed already - just acknowledge your sin and ask for forgiveness - and you can get back up again because He already bore your guilt and shame.
Regardless of the darkness you are in or the extent or frequency of the sins you have committed or will commit, regardless of how doubtful you may feel, know that Jesus UNDERSTANDS completely and He is faithful.
"those who come to Me, I will by no means cast out" - John 6:37
    ...HOW DO I LEARN MORE?
    Don't know where to start?
Note down the Gospel of "John", or "Luke" (if you want a more detailed account of it all).
Remember that He will "NEVER - and that means never - leave you, NOR forsake you" - Deuteronomy 31:6
Regardless of what goes on down here, God knows, Jesus has been down here and felt all the emotions you are feeling. You can go to Him with them and be assured that He loves you and is for you.
Even in the storm, God is still there, walking on the water alongside you.
Keep your heart open to Him and remember that if we pray for Christ to enter our lives, He will.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only begotten Son, that whomever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life". - John 3:16
Thanks for reading if you did. I just felt that I should tell you regardless. Let me know if you have any more or if you need clarification on anything xx

What percentage of a man's salvation comes from Christ's sacrifice at Calvary, and what percentage comes from a man properly keeping the Old Covenant Sabbath? Answer this question honestly, and you will understand the New Covenant "now" in effect in Hebrews 8:6-13. We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18, but are come instead to the New Covenant of Mount Sion in Hebrews 12:22-24. This is the truth of the Gospel of the New Covenant, which was fulfilled by His blood at Calvary.

God bless you all. Jesus came 2000 years ago and established the new covenant as prophesied in Jeremiah 31:31. He established it on the Passover, putting the promise of the new covenant [forgiveness of sins] on the Passover bread and wine symbolizing His flesh and blood.
No wonder Jesus said that '..unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood you have no life in you, whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life'.
The old covenant Passover commemorated God's peoples [physical Jews] freedom from physical slavery. This was a shadow of the promise of the new covenant Passover. Now we receive spiritual freedom from the slavery of sin and death, hence the promise of eternal life and forgiveness of sins through the new covenant Passover.
The early church kept the new covenant Passover, however this life giving truth was abolished by the little horn [Roman Catholic Church] as prophesied in Daniel 7:25. Pagan customs were introduced onto the church.
The 2nd coming Christ is to come and restore the lost Passover, the hidden manna in these last days.
The Reformation has past and now the final perfect restoration of the truth has come. Now all peoples are streaming to Mount Zion to learn the ways of the Lord as prophesied in Micah 4:1-2.
The 2nd coming Christ has come and has restored Zion, the city of God's Festivals [of the new covenant]. Praise God.

If the law could be done away with, Christ needed not to die on the cross. The law stands. Christ give power to obey it.
You have to read the whole text: For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
Christ is the end of the law FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS. To whom? To every one that BELIEVETH.
Paul is talking about those "going about to establish their own righteousness" by keeping the law without Christ.

If this guy likes the New Covenant so much, why is he trying to live under the Law? Seventh Day Adventism misses the point completely. We don't need to observe the Sabbath Day any longer, because Christ is our Sabbath-rest.
"One person regards a certain day above the others, while someone else considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. He who observes a special day does so to the Lord; he who eats does so to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God."
    -Romans 14:5-6
"Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day."
    -Colossians 2:16
"For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience."
    -Hebrews 4:8-11
Did not the Jews have the Sabbath? Then why did they not have rest? Because the true Sabbath-rest is only found in Christ. This rest is entered through faith, and it is total and complete and final. Jesus did it all and credits it to us.

Do you believe that I misquoted Paul? If I improperly exegeted those passages, please explain how they should be understood.
My advice to you is that you should not ignore Paul. In Ephesians 3:7-12 he said:
"Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God's grace, which was given me by the working of his power. To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things, so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him."
Paul taught that Love was the fulfillment of the Law (Romans 13:8-10). The difference between Law and Love is that Law required US to obey perfectly in order to receive life, whereas Love is GOD's free gift to us. That free gift manifests itself in us so that we live a changed life which begins to fulfill those 10 Commandments and even goes beyond them.

Pharisees were rebuked because they NEGLECTED HIS COMMANDS and preferred traditions of men Mark 7. I’m not saying you, but many have always believed the Pharisees kept the law perfectly when in actuality they did not at all. They added to it or took from it, with the intent to appear more righteous while their heart was far from God. This is always what Jesus is rebuking them for!
Jesus kept the law perfect AS GOD INTENDED, wore Tzittzit’s, honored the feasts commanded “forever”, as did Paul and all the others. The Gentile’s even did as Jesus modeled until anti-Semitic Rome, Constantine came in and declared themselves above God’s word.
A believer(hearer & doer) must ask, if the desire to honor God’s Law isn’t on their heart BECAUSE they are saved than are they really walking in the way of God and the New Covenant? Jer 31, HEB 10 His commands aren’t burdensome, Scripture says. Psalm 119 is another.
A quote I felt conviction on is “Holiness is always oppressive to sinners”. When people loathe the idea of God’s Law, it’s because they desire the flesh more than spirit, maybe unknowingly. They are in opposition to each other. Also, because the abuse of grace abounds in the Christian community.

Yes. Because it is now "obsolete", based on Hebrews 8:13. Christians are now the ark of the New Covenant, by being indwelled with the Holy Spirit. The Sinai covenant is the 10 commandments. (Exodus 34:28) The 603 other ordinances were designed to further explain how the 10 commandments were to be observed. In Acts chapter 15 the Mosaic law is called a "yoke". In Galatians chapter 4 the Apostle Paul compares the Sinai covenant to bondage and compels the Galatian church to "cast out" the Sinai covenant of bondage. In Galatians chapter 3 we find that the Sinai covenant was "added" 430 years "after" the Promise to Abraham, "until" the Seed could come. Not one jot of tittle would pass from the law "until" it was all fulfilled on a wooden Cross, with the words... "It is finished." The Old covenant is now "obsolete". Hebrews 8:13. The veil in the temple was ripped in half, signaling the end of the sacrifices, the Levitical priesthood, and the whole Old covenant system.

I don't take it lightly when the Father sends His only Son to suffer and die for us who are unworthy. He took on God's wrath. Jesus conquered! The law will always minister death to us, before salvation and after salvation….it will always be there to show us we CANT do it, so if you try it, it will keep telling you are fail. UNLESS YOU PRETEND TO OBEY LIKE THE PHARISES DID. Paul clearly states that Law has no place in the life of a saved person, the law did its job and it’s no longer in charge, Jesus is now in charge. If you are under the Law sin is your master. Folks don’t be fooled. The law that Jesus nailed to the cross is the 10 commandments. Please read Roman’s. Ceremonial law? Scripture makes no such distinction. New Covenant is the same Law, but put in our hearts and giving Holy Spirit to give us the "desire and want to" obey. Not one jot or tittle shall pass from the law til there is a new heaven and earth. So no such thing as " ceremonial law" passed away. Also, stone and paper is irrelevant. That point is not the handwriting against us. Makes no sense.

    • @valibucuresti

Of course the scripture make the distinction between the different laws. The Law of God existed before sin came into the world. The system of ceremonial sacrifices came after sin and as result of the sin. Before sin, Adam obeyed the Law of God. It was written in his heart. After sin it was required of him to offer ceremonial sacrifices pointing to Jesus as the true sacrifice for sin. The ceremonial law pointed to Jesus. After Jesus died on the cross, ceremonial sacrifices were no longer needed. This is plainly taught in the scripture.

      @axeattheroot2657 7 років тому +1

The reason it is misunderstood is that most legalists like to point out that heaven and earth must also pass away. I have done a lot of research into this and have learned this:
In order to understand what Christ is referring to (Heaven and earth passing) we must have good knowledge of how the Jews thought and talked back in their time. Heaven and earth is used as a symbol for Israel many times in the Old Testament: In Deuteronomy 32:1, in the song of Moses, God is talking to Israel when He says: "Give ear, 0 ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, 0 earth, the words of my mouth" In the song of Moses, God is depicting the fate of Israel when He says: "For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains" (vs. 22).Is God here talking about burning up the earth? No, he is talking about bringing judgment upon Israel.
In Isaiah 51:13 God said that He had "stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth" Once again, is God speaking here of the literal heavens and earth?Read on in this same passage to verse 16: "And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people."Read that verse again. It could not be talking of the formation of the literal heavens and earth, for that had taken place more than 3,000 years before! So, then, what is He talking about? The verse explains itself. He is talking about "Zion."
look at the very first chapter of Isaiah, in which God begins to give predictions of coming invasions and captivities of His people; and in Isaiah 1:2 He said:"Hear, 0 heavens, and give ear, 0 earth: for the LORD hath spoken, and I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me."To whom is He speaking when He addresses, “O heavens" and "0 earth"? He is talking to Israel.
In Jeremiah 22:29 God says, "0 earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the Lord." And in verse 1 (along with verses 11, 18 and 24) we read that the words were for the people of Judah, concerning the time when they would be taken "into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans" (vs. 25). It was not the whole physical earth God was talking to, but the people.
If the dissolving of heaven and earth were to be taken literally in all the passages of the Old Testament where such language is used, it would necessarily mean that the heavens and earth were to be destroyed numerous times! The language has to be figurative.
Now look at Matthew 24:1-2 where the disciples ask Jesus about the buildings and temple; and Jesus reply is, not one stone shall be left on top of another (THIS HAPPENED IN 70 A.D.) Now go to verse 34 where Jesus says, this generation will not pass away until these things happen (Which they literally did witness in 70 A.D.) Now read verse 35: Jesus says, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."
As one can see by this study that heaven and earth is Israel which did pass away. Otherwise Jesus would have been lying when He also said this: Luke 12:49 "I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?" Jesus Judged Israel for rejecting him and allowed Rome to destroy Israel and the temple. So yes, heaven and earth (Israel) did pass away.

You said Heaven and earth is/was used as a symbol for israel in the old testerment? and by this proclamation you proclaim to us that the law has now passed away with Israel so by understanding what you are saying leaves us with one option
we are free to sin so grace may abound?? But Paul said by no means let us be dead to sin
According to scripture the deffinition of sin is not following the Law as it is told to us in scripture time & time again. So if you are going to proclaim such iniquities give us the chapter & verse to prove it, if you going to insert something like this then you need to back it up with scripture & show it when it is used in context to what you are proclaiming otherwise it is lies
Why does God speak to the Heavens and the Earth?
2 Cor 13:1 in the mouth of 2 or 3 witnesses shall words be established
Did you consider that God may be speaking to the heavens and the earth because those are His 2 witnesses.
The principalities reside in the Heavens (1st witness)
The Prophets reside in the earth (2nd witness)
God reveals His Word, His Law/Torah through His servants the prophets.
      What Word? His Law
      Who was the Word?
John 1:1 In the beginning was the WORD & the WORD was with God & the WORD was/is God
The Law regarding Greco-Roman mind set & philosophy means oppression, slavery
The Law according to Hebrew mind set and philosophy
Means instruction in Righteousness. The way to walk upright to receive the the blessings of YAWH
