Believe it or not I just discovered this the other day as well! I noticed you have a huge advantage over opponents sprinting around corners. Here you are walking around the corner pre aiming down your sights, and buddy is more than likely sprinting around the corner...with his gun aiming to the ground....he/she has to stop sprinting (start walking/jaunting) ADS than start shooting....meanwhile you had your sights on him before he even stopped sprinting..eh? eh? see the advantage? I'm at like a 1.90 k/d right now which is the best I've done on any CoD, but than again I'm only level 15.

It's not camping..... do you know what ADS means, it just means hold the left trigger, you don't have to stay in one spot to aim.

Again, it doesn't mean you have to stay in one spot....... if you read your comment again you said "let's all camp and not run", I don't have to run to move around the map.
this game totally ruined my prefered play style, i like to rush a lot and only camp occasionally when i feel like i have to but this game basically makes you have to camp all the time to play... i honestly want a game like mw3 back as that was my favorite by far

How to stay alive long: Don't be a noob.
I can't believe people don't get what Tmartn is doing. There are three major rules for success in COD Multiplayer: 1. Learn the spawn points, there's videos that show you how to learn them. 2. People who camp tend to have high k/d's because they control the map, the flow of traffic it's not bad to camp remember this is a game where you need to strategize running and gunning your going to get killed if you play against a good team. 3. Play with friends who communicate, jumping into lobbies where nobody communicates means your team will lose majority of the time. A lot of good players play with friends. There are other rules as well such as knowing when to disengage from gunfights you can't win. Flank your enemy. Stay out of the killzone(the middle of the map generally).

How to stay alive longer in Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Step 1: Get a long range weapon.
Step 2: Get perks that grant resistance against everything.
Step 3: Camp.
Step 2 Explained: Use perks that protect against enemy scorestreaks (Incog, Off the Grid, Blindeye).
Tmartn is absolutely right and i definitely advise all players to use this advice. Since I'm a rusher in ghost I always hold the spring button and past few days I've been doing really bad. Every fight i got into, i kept losing the battle. I got really frustrated and i was able to see how much time it takes to raise a gun when you get in a battle. I also remember that tip Tmartn gave a long time ago, to aim around every corner and i stopped running and began aiming more and it really helped.

Omg this really works. This got me from a 1.3 KD to a 2.4. This is ridiculous. GOOD TIP.

I learned this in BO2 when my router/internet decided to start sucking hard nuts so I had to pre-aim to compensate for the horrible lag and horrible ping on my internet and my KD went up at least 33%. It really does seem 'silly' and some people called me 'super cautious' for doing it, but as the video shows, you just start slaying people out and causing rage quits left and right.
I had the same thing and my KD went up by about 1 whole point

Ole Horn Ya you can do that on last gen. Theres barely anyone playing other gamemodes on next gen.
You did pretty well in this video.... but say this was an actual Team Deathmatch game you wouldn't have gotten all those kills. In "Cranked", the game type you were playing, when someone gets a kill they are FORCED to run around randomly to get that next kill before 30 seconds is up. So I wouldn't doubt most of those idiots you picked off were sprinting around randomly looking for that next enemy.
This really does work especially for smaller maps and it really works on the castle map because it's so spread out you wanna be aiming down site before you turn a corner thanks
good video tmartn, i haven't played cod much lately but i know that my best scores in previous cod's would come from taking it easy, not sprinting around corners etc...i'll remember to try this when i get ghosts

Just keep playing I sucked but I keeper playing determined to keep K/D above and I got resale good. I went 19-7 in One of my last games and I don't suck anymore. I'm not a pro player I do lead the team time to time. I'm not the best but I'm pretty reliable. Just keep playing and use guns that suit you well

This is the best tip i've seen yet. It may seem stupid, but this guy knows what he is talking about and I found myself frustrated at the game until I tried this. Great video.

everyone is used to black ops 2 which favored the rusher. People who play hardcore mode already know to slow down.

When I was in cranked I usually kept dieing a lot because they kept coming around ever corner when I wasn't aiming. Now, from this tip I'm usually 15-1 or 15-2 in every crank match when aiming sights. Awesome tip TmarTn thanks a lot!

This tip for ADS alot of the time when going round corners is oh so true as ive started doing this in ghosts the last few days before coming across this video and its dramatically improved my game and overall experience with ghosts mp. Thats on the xbox360. Great tip!!.

all you have to do is really be, smart. I always aim down sights, just in case, i have been using this strategy sense Black Ops 1. But what i really do is check my corners, and watch my mini map, it really isn't that hard, the rest is just being good, and know after playing CoD for a long time what your enemies are possibly trying to do, or camp. so TmarTn, sorry for being rude, but there is not reason for you uploading this video at all, all its teaching is pretty much to camp, and people will eventually learn this by instinct once they become better at the game without the help of a video
WarmSoftKitty no not at all, i run around, and on an occasional i do camp, but that is usually when im down on ammo. i only way for me to get that kill is kill that person from the back, with the gun that i have ammo on. plus i did say quote on quote "all its teaching is pretty much to camp". But if didn't you didn't understand, I'm talking about a person that can get 40+ kills in match constantly, with out camping in a corner trying to get his killstreaks

Wow, this video just proves how stupid people are. This is what people you call "campers" do, thats why they kill so much. Is not even called camping, is called being SMART.This aiming thing is not even a tip, its a fundamental, its the most basic thing ever. The game is basically about being a soldier, well guess what, no soldier would go out any corner without his gun held up high, it can clearly be seen anywhere, movies, documentals, etc.

'Camping' is not the absolute worst thing in the world. To really explain this, you need to look at the meaning of camping. People use this word so much, but not all of them really know what it means. Camping is when you spend basically the whole game in one place and getting kills really easily. Some of the time gamers say "Oh man! That guy just killed me! He was such a camper!" Right after bieng killed by a guy laying down. They just assume that the guy that killed them indeed was a camper, but most of the time that is not the case because right after killing you, that person is most likely to get up and start running around to get more kills. Or not. "Camping" can be someones style. If camping sometimes helps them, Let 'em do it, because if they are getting kills, good for them. Campers aren't slobs. They are not always mean people. Respect us campers, and let us do our thing. Be proud of layin' down in a corner sometimes and gettin' some goddamn kills. Like this comment, and stand up for the campers of CoD. Spread the Word mt friends.

you can still rush and use his tactic. just run and when you reach a corner aim and keep do that. i had a 36:6 k:d doing this. it was sick!!!

if you have to aim down the sights while running around corners without dying then you really need to work on your gun skill. thats just a noob way to play. learn how to move side to side and not just straight at them. learn to jump shot and drop shot. anything to make there aim bad. i lol at people when they make stupid ass videos like this. use the right guns and perks to get you kills. i never run around aiming down the sight around corners but 9/10 times i will never lose a straight up gun battle. just hone your skills guys
it does not work very well when you have kontrol freaks then you just have to be fast. the fastest one always wins every time. (depending on your gun of course)

When comes down to that 1 time out of 10 you would've had that kill, it does not make any sense in general to sprint around a corner where someone could be prone down the sights,that second it takes from sprint to aim is enought for the prone guy to have killed you twice.

I want to add something. Not only do you look down the sight, but you have to use cover everywhere you go. If you hug the wall and run to each cover point, you will NEVER die. I remember going 30-0 most games. that video has a good tip, but this piece here is the other tip to being the best.
dman train exactly the only reason he even did this was because he was always moving from cover to cover. Why didn't he just tell people to use cover instead??? Honestly using cover helps more than adsing everywhere.

Pretty solid advice.... just watching the first part of the video without sound, I noticed that he is not running all around the map but holding down a smaller area. One of my friends told me the same thing and I have been getting positive kill/deaths almost all the time now. I get in the most trouble when i am running around a map all wild without reason.
The tip I found was to try not to sprint constantly so i ll stay focused ... and with TmarTn s tip it makes perfect sense :)

When I was playing MW2 on PC i set the sprint button to and every time I tried to sprint it didn't work - obviously. Made an incredible difference. I won so much gunfights I couldn't believe it.

I just turned 68 years old.. and I ain't as quick as the younger players.. which is pretty much all of them.. Most of the time.. I'm a running target.. But I tried this and it worked pretty dang good.. except for when someone is looking down a sniper rifle .. or behind me.. as you had happen in this video.. Thank you for all your amazing tips.
