My main problem with bevoming a republic is the amount of public money it would cost. Just renaming, relabelling and making new signs would cost billions. Parliament and the voting structure would be totally reformed too. My main objection to being a Commonwealth country is the power of the British Monarchy and Parliament to get rid of our governments and Prime Ministers. I remember 1975. I still maintain my rage.
