As I said earlier, you can't go wrong with any of the 70's Earth Band albums. The best song on this excellent album is a Bob Dylan cover Father Of Day Father Of Night. Unbelievably cool stuff!!

Best Song, "Spirits in the Night" from "Nightingales and Bombers" Album. And, believe it or not, MMEB is still alive and playing with two founding members, Mick Rogers on Giz/Voc and keyboardist MM, and MM is now 83! I saw them in the Seventies, no joke, one of the loudest bands, I've ever heard ....

This is ok but…….Next time try Waiter there’s a Yawn in my Ear. From Roaring Silence. No, really play This Side of Paradise. Or anything from The Good Earth Lp. One of my first concerts was Manfred Mann with Savoy Brown. Oh, there was one more band who opened the concert. KISS first on stage. Tix were like $7.00 in like 1974.

Manfred Mann plays keyboards. I don't think he ever sings. He had a band called Manfred Mann in the 60s, and then in the 70s he formed the Earth Band.

This is from an album that was intended to be MMEB's version of The Planet's Suite by Holst. Holst's heir allowed them to do Joybringer but refused permission to do the suite. On hearing this I can understand why. This track sort of encapsulates the album really. Some bits of good music mixed with, at best, ordinary. There's good music on this but the vocals are dreadful, particularly the backing vocals, so cheesy.
