Log poori poori zindagi acha gaate hain phir bhi us maqam pe nahin pohanchte aksar jis pe Abida ji aur un jaise kuch aur artist pohanche hain. They're not 'just a singer.' Faiz sahab ne jab Madam Noor Jahan ki apni likhi hui nazm sunni thi toh kaha tha ke ab yeh meri nahin rahi Noor Jahan hi ho gayi hai. Singers deserve a lot of respect not disrespect from the current generation calling her Abida as if she's your friend and calling her 'just a singer' to diminish her towering achievements.
