You know what I love about this video, it doesn’t have blasting music in the background so if your trying to make this at 2am you don’t wake up your entire country Edit: To everyone saying just turn down you volume, if you already have you phone volume high but you don’t realise it, then music is blasted, then turning down the volume won’t save you from the belt

Oki soo, I’ve been making this recipe a several times now, and it comes really nice and fluffy and perfectly. But here are a few tips you wanna keep in mind: -Consider adding extra oil and milk because the batter kinda comes out a little too thick. -also you’ll wanna add some extra sugar and reduce the amount of cocoa powder if you’re using the darker type of one. -the cooking time of the microwave may vary depending on the mug you use. This happened to me when I was re trying the recipe. The thicker the mug, the longer it would take. It might take about 45 seconds extra. -make sure you use a mug which is wider, otherwise the ingredients might not be properly mixed at the bottom. Good luck!

After reading the comments, I made this with these additions/changes: - I used self raising flour instead of all purpose/plain flour so that I don’t have to use baking powder - used 2 tbsp butter rather than oil, to give a richer flavour - added a tad bit more milk, 1/2 a tbsp more than what was advised - added a tad bit more sugar, 1/2 a tbsp more than what was advised - didn’t add any chocolate chunks (coz I didn’t have any) Put it in the microwave for 1 minute exactly and it turned out really good, however I would add a teensy bit more sugar just to get it to the perfect sweetness in my opinion. When I first pulled it out it the top was still wet, but my experience in previous mug cakes prevented me from putting it back in because they burn really quickly Overall really tasty, and a great way to satisfy my chocolate cake cravings (they were getting intense) (P.s. the self raising gets it to double in height, so use a large mug)
Hippity Hoppity I just melted the butter first in the mug I was going to use and then I just added other ingredients and stirred while butter was still hot. Butter worked great.
Optelina Alvarado The baking powder allows your cake to rise. If you don’t use baking powder, it will most likely stay at the level of ur precooked mixture, and may or may not cook evenly throughout. But tbh, because you’re making such a small quantity, you could probably get away with not using it. Otherwise if you have some, you can use self raising flour instead. I’m not too familiar with the science of baking, so don’t quote me entirely, but otherwise experiment and let me know how it goes! Goodluck!

Honestly speaking this is the best mug cake recipe I have ever tried. I made this so many times I can’t tell you how many. One time I mixed Nutella in with it, it tasted amazing
Here is the recipe: *I made some changes too* 3 tbsp All-purpose flour 3 tbsp Granulated sugar (instead of 2 tbsp) 2 tbsp Cocoa powder (depends on how chocolatey you want it) 1/4 tsp Baking powder 1 pinch Salt (not too much) *MIX* 3 1/2 tbsp Milk (3 tbsp is too little) 1/2 tsp Vanilla essence 2 tbsp Vegetable oil (I heard butter it better though) 20 gram Milk chocolate chunks (optional) And cook it for around a 1:00-1:30 It might be a little raw if you cook it for a minute. So I would say a min and 30 seconds is good *:)* And yeah! These are some changes I made. Enjoy
Okay I made this! And a few things I would change are: - Adding slightly less cocoa powder (maybe 1 and 3/4 tbsp) - adding slightly more milk (1/2 tbsp more would be good) - adding a bit more sugar (1/2 tbsp more!) When making it according to the original recipe, the cake tasted very very rich, and not sweet enough to my taste (I have seen comments in the comments section stating this too!) but still pretty good, I plan on finishing it the next time I have a craving for chocolate cake 😋 Oh also another thing is that I had to microwave my cake for two minutes instead of 1 minute, so make sure you poke your mug cake to check if it cooks through!!

after reading some comments and stuff here’s what I did: -added a little extra milk -added a little extra sugar -used butter instead of oil -used semi sweet chocolate chips it raised a little and almost ruined my microwave, so I would be safe with the mug size lmao But it’s really good :)
@@Bxrben_Dr1p on sticks of butter, there are measurements on the wrapper that show tablespoons. for tubs of butter, you could probably just go in with a tablespoon and shave off any excess with the back of a knife back into the tub.

I just tried this recipe and it was amazing! However, on my 2nd try, I tweaked it a bit. I doubled the recipe and used a bigger mug, added 1/2 tsp of ground coffee and 1/4 tsp of cinnamon powder, then microwaved it for 1min and 30sec. The outcome was a perfectly baked cake on bottom and top of mug, but hot and smooth chocolatey gooey center. The perfect fudge I was looking for! Thank you vm for sharing this recipe!
Taisia Andronic I guess pre-heat the oven 180 then put it in and leave it in there for 1 minute if it looks cooked take it out, but if not leave it for longer? Idk it’s good to try & experiment with stuff otherwise you might be missing out 🙂

Danya Hisham I don’t know if you still need help, but most people have the same size spoons and personally I have normal, small, and large size and a teaspoon is small, and a tablespoon is normal. So the spoon you usually eat with is most likely the right size for a Tablespoon.

I just tried it a couple minutes ago and it was awesome! My sister and I loved it. The only change that I did was lesser amount of cocoa powder (2tbsp to 1 tbsp). My cocoa powder has dark intense flavor thus, I reduced it to avoid making the cake bitter. Cheers! 🙂

wow! this is the best one i’ve tried. i actually put it in for just under 1 minute, 50 seconds actually. i didn’t have chocolate on me so i put a blob of nutella in the middle and it melted all through the cake! it was very soft and fluffy, not rubbery or too sweet either. i highly recommend this recipe

I tried this recipe and the mug cake actually turned out good!! But the milk quantity shown here is not enough so I used about a half cup of milk. And I microwaved it for 1 minute 30 seconds otherwise it was just too raw. P.s I personally think that the sugar level shown here was low so you can add more sugar if you want❤
I would recommend to add more milk (4 tbsp) and remember to be aware of what type of oil/butter you use because it effects the general taste. Above all of them this is the best (and easiest) recipe i've found so far.

OMG, I tried this and it worked!! Only thing is it depends on your microwave, but I had to add 30 seconds..next time prob only 20 secs. Here’s a little tip, if you’re making this and are using 100% cocoa powder like I was, I recommend using a little less than 2 tablespoons because when I made it, you could REALLY taste the cocoa powder. But overall, this was delicious! I didn’t expect it to come out that well, but it did! ( Another tip: if you want to know if your mug is microwave safe, fill half of it with water and put it in the microwave for a minute. Once you take it out, if the mug is warmer than the water, it is NOT microwave safe. If the water if warmer than the mug, it is safe 👍) Good Luck!

I can't believe I actually made this cake!! The first ever cake recipe I tried to microwave/bake ..... But the only thing which I didn't have was the cocoa powder and chocolate pieces 🍫 So I had chocolate syrup so I used chocolate syrup in place of cocoa powder and almonds in place of chocolate pieces. This was a very simple and easy and fast recipe👍 The mistakes I made: -Used regular sugar instead of granulated sugar due to which the sugar didn't get dissolved/mixed with the rest of the batter (also the usage of regular sugar made the amount of sugar/sweetness more bcz the granulated sugar is powder, not solid so regular sugar when taken in the ratio 1:1 with the granulated sugar then the sweetness of the regular sugar will be more bcz of its shape/size) . -Didn't mix all the contents thoroughly due to which some dry flour powder was still at the bottom of the mug even after microwaving/baking. -Took a little smaller mug due to which the cake was swelling up to come out -And since it was starting to come out of the mug, I thought to press it a bit to keep it inside and then resumed the microwave, due to which it got hardened over time All my mistakes had a big impact so make sure u don't repeat my mistakes..... Other improvements I made to the recipe: -Used moreee milk than given, bcz the milk given in recipe is very less and less milk will make ur batter very lumpy and not so liquid as required. -Used a little more sugar than given in the recipe, 2 tbsp is not enough -Used moreee time than 1 min, but I would recommend using not more than 2/2.5 min as it will become really dry... -(I thought to do this one but forgot doing it😖) Adding a little coffee powder to enhance the chocolate flavor and make it a strong flavor. The recipe with modifications is perfect but I done plenty mistakes in implementation so it didn't turn out as perfect as it would BUT it was definitely sweet and yummy and worth the try recipe. Looking forward for making this again, better next time😍
@@YhanD-vd5dw you can use any oil(vegetable oil, peanut oil, groundnut oil..) but not the ones which smell like olive oil..(if you have one which smells then you can add a little vanilla essence 1-2 tsp) The lowest possible temp in ur microwave would do(mine was around 170 i think) ... You can definitely use chocolate milk but if the milk is already sweet, you might consider reducing the sugar and/or cocoa powder...

Hippity Hoppity I just melted the butter first in the mug I was going to use and then I just added other ingredients and stirred while butter was still hot. Butter worked great.

The baking powder allows your cake to rise. If you don’t use baking powder, it will most likely stay at the level of ur precooked mixture, and may or may not cook evenly throughout. But tbh, because you’re making such a small quantity, you could probably get away with not using it. Otherwise if you have some, you can use self raising flour instead. I’m not too familiar with the science of baking, so don’t quote me entirely, but otherwise experiment and let me know how it goes! Goodluck!

Honestly speaking this is the best mug cake recipe I have ever tried. I made this so many times I can’t tell you how many. One time I mixed Nutella in with it, it tasted amazing

Here is the recipe:
*I made some changes too*
3 tbsp All-purpose flour
3 tbsp Granulated sugar (instead of 2 tbsp)
2 tbsp Cocoa powder (depends on how chocolatey you want it)
1/4 tsp Baking powder
1 pinch Salt (not too much)
*MIX*
3 1/2 tbsp Milk (3 tbsp is too little)
1/2 tsp Vanilla essence
2 tbsp Vegetable oil (I heard butter it better though)
20 gram Milk chocolate chunks (optional)
And cook it for around a 1:00-1:30
It might be a little raw if you cook it for a minute.
So I would say a min and 30 seconds is good *:)*
And yeah! These are some changes I made.

Okay I made this! And a few things I would change are:
- Adding slightly less cocoa powder (maybe 1 and 3/4 tbsp)
- adding slightly more milk (1/2 tbsp more would be good)
- adding a bit more sugar (1/2 tbsp more!)
When making it according to the original recipe, the cake tasted very very rich, and not sweet enough to my taste (I have seen comments in the comments section stating this too!) but still pretty good, I plan on finishing it the next time I have a craving for chocolate cake 😋
Oh also another thing is that I had to microwave my cake for two minutes instead of 1 minute, so make sure you poke your mug cake to check if it cooks through!!

I just tried this recipe and it was amazing! However, on my 2nd try, I tweaked it a bit. I doubled the recipe and used a bigger mug, added 1/2 tsp of ground coffee and 1/4 tsp of cinnamon powder, then microwaved it for 1min and 30sec. The outcome was a perfectly baked cake on bottom and top of mug, but hot and smooth chocolatey gooey center. The perfect fudge I was looking for! Thank you vm for sharing this recipe!

It was absolutely amazing! I will definitely make this again! The only thing I would change is I would add more sugar into the batter to make it sweeter.
3 tbsp all purpose flour
2 tbsp sugar (3 if no chocolate chunks)

Danya Hisham I don’t know if you still need help, but most people have the same size spoons and personally I have normal, small, and large size and a teaspoon is small, and a tablespoon is normal. So the spoon you usually eat with is most likely the right size for a Tablespoon.

I just tried it a couple minutes ago and it was awesome! My sister and I loved it. The only change that I did was lesser amount of cocoa powder (2tbsp to 1 tbsp). My cocoa powder has dark intense flavor thus, I reduced it to avoid making the cake bitter. Cheers! 🙂

wow! this is the best one i’ve tried. i actually put it in for just under 1 minute, 50 seconds actually. i didn’t have chocolate on me so i put a blob of nutella in the middle and it melted all through the cake! it was very soft and fluffy, not rubbery or too sweet either. i highly recommend this recipe

And I microwaved it for 1 minute 30 seconds otherwise it was just too raw. P.s I personally think that the sugar level shown here was low so you can add more sugar if you want❤

I would recommend to add more milk (4 tbsp) and remember to be aware of what type of oil/butter you use because it effects the general taste. Above all of them this is the best (and easiest) recipe i've found so far.

This recipe is awesome. I made it in 1 minute. It tastes good even without chocolate chips. I added peanut butter on top and it tasted amazing.
Here’s a little tip, if you’re making this and are using 100% cocoa powder like I was, I recommend using a little less than 2 tablespoons because when I made it, you could REALLY taste the cocoa powder. But overall, this was delicious! I didn’t expect it to come out that well, but it did!
( Another tip: if you want to know if your mug is microwave safe, fill half of it with water and put it in the microwave for a minute. Once you take it out, if the mug is warmer than the water, it is NOT microwave safe. If the water if warmer than the mug, it is safe 👍)

@@camigrana no it tastes so delicious! So good , chocolaty and amazing , you can add a little bit more cocoa powder if you want ( i added bc i love cocoa so much ) but it's so good.

I can't believe I actually made this cake!! The first ever cake recipe I tried to microwave/bake .....
But the only thing which I didn't have was the cocoa powder and chocolate pieces 🍫
So I had chocolate syrup so I used chocolate syrup in place of cocoa powder and almonds in place of chocolate pieces.
This was a very simple and easy and fast recipe👍
The mistakes I made:
-Used regular sugar instead of granulated sugar due to which the sugar didn't get dissolved/mixed with the rest of the batter (also the usage of regular sugar made the amount of sugar/sweetness more bcz the granulated sugar is powder, not solid so regular sugar when taken in the ratio 1:1 with the granulated sugar then the sweetness of the regular sugar will be more bcz of its shape/size) .
-Didn't mix all the contents thoroughly due to which some dry flour powder was still at the bottom of the mug even after microwaving/baking.
-Took a little smaller mug due to which the cake was swelling up to come out
-And since it was starting to come out of the mug, I thought to press it a bit to keep it inside and then resumed the microwave, due to which it got hardened over time
All my mistakes had a big impact so make sure u don't repeat my mistakes.....
Other improvements I made to the recipe:
-Used moreee milk than given, bcz the milk given in recipe is very less and less milk will make ur batter very lumpy and not so liquid as required.
-Used a little more sugar than given in the recipe, 2 tbsp is not enough
-Used moreee time than 1 min, but I would recommend using not more than 2/2.5 min as it will become really dry...
-(I thought to do this one but forgot doing it😖) Adding a little coffee powder to enhance the chocolate flavor and make it a strong flavor.
The recipe with modifications is perfect but I done plenty mistakes in implementation so it didn't turn out as perfect as it would BUT it was definitely sweet and yummy and worth the try recipe. Looking forward for making this again, better next time😍
any type of oil okay?and how high is temp for cooking in microwave?can i use chocolate milk drink instead of milk
@@YhanD-vd5dw you can use any oil(vegetable oil, peanut oil, groundnut oil..) but not the ones which smell like olive oil..(if you have one which smells then you can add a little vanilla essence 1-2 tsp)
The lowest possible temp in ur microwave would do(mine was around 170 i think) ... You can definitely use chocolate milk but if the milk is already sweet, you might consider reducing the sugar and/or cocoa powder...

@@YhanD-vd5dw you can use coconut oil im same amount as in the recipe (no need of extra vanilla essence) .. just microwave at low temp for 1:30 to 2:00 minutes
