I’ve had so much trouble trying to find old jazz/dance personnel. I had no idea these discographies were on archive, I’m definitely checking them out, thanks! 🐮🙏
Great information, thanks for posting! I have the Brian Rust books you mentioned, but had no idea they are available online. I’ll definitely check them out!
Great video! Very informative. Maybe in the future you could make a video (or series) dedicated to the various major record companies of the 20s and 30s. Or recommend texts for further study. I enjoy delving into the production aspects and keeping track of the personnel associated with the various record companies.
I don't know of a comprehensive list - I usually use this one as a starting place, then adjust as needed by ear: midimagic.sgc-hosting.com/mixlabls.htm

Thanks - great suggestion! I’ll add to my list of video ideas for the future.
Do you know of a reliable list for EQs by every shellac/wax/vinyl label?

My father had a massive 78rpm collection - he was a Big Band DJ - how do i find a potential purchaser?
When you say massive are we talking hundreds of records? Thousands? Tens of thousands?
