R.I.P. Mr, Green you were one of the nicest and funniest celebrities I ever got the chance to meet. You certainly scared the crap out of my manager that day when you pretended to put me in a sleeper hold. Gone but not forgotten
Thank you Kevin Greene. What an incredible speech. Gave us goose bumps. As a lifetime Los Angeles Rams fan, I was sad to see you go, but enjoyed seeing you play the game with so much intensity. Thank you for acknowledging everyone that made you who you are... from your Dad to your family to your football families. And also thank you for acknowledging our first responders, the men and women "that lay it on the line for all of us" (i.e. fire fighters, paramedics and Law Enforcement), and all of the military who serve and "stand tall for our beloved Country".
Kevin Greene is a wild man that always brought it with the Steelers. Honored and proud to have this man go in as a legendary Pittsburgh Steelers. Thank you!
In moments like these, I am proud to be a human again. A very honorable and sincere speech. And, nope he's not forgetting about the people who enabled him to walk his path and those who walked with him. My deepest respect!
A very humble speech. This is great to see in this day and age. Thanks Kevin! You should have been in the HOF a lot sooner but glad it happened tonight!
Thanks for the memories Kevin Greene my favorite Ram ever i named my only son after him and now he' 29 yo. I still have his 1989 L.A. Rams home jersey!
Very cool finale to his speech. Always Black & Gold. He was a Steeler long before he ever even arrived in town. It was in his blood, and he knew it as soon as he put on the uniform. Some players match to a city, an identity, a team - and for Greene - Pittsburgh was it. As a fan, I was sad to see him go before his time. He was a perfect blend of tough and crazy, and was always positive, always a cheerleader for the team and for the fans. I'm glad to see him get his due, and happy to see he remember his roots.
A humbling speech from a great player, a great character and a great person. Thank you for walking amongst us Mr. Greene. God bless you. Rest in Peace my brother...
Kevin Greene was one of the best linebackers of his era with the Rams and Steelers he was a beast him, Greg Lloyd and Kirkland used to dominate in Pittsburgh way overdue especially when he's still third all-time in sacks but congratulations to kg
Such an incredible football player and wonderful person ! So sad to see him be taken at such a young age......he will be remembered and sorely missed.....may his family's pain eventually ease with this unbearable loss, but may Kevin's memory be cherished for years to come !
it's ridiculous how long it took him and Chris doleman to make it to the hall. those 2 are definitely the best of the best of all the players who had to wait
War Damn Eagle, Kevin. Rest in peace and may God comfort your friends and family. Yours was a life well-lived. I always hoped you would come back to Auburn to coach.
Best Panthers Linebacker ever. Kuechly is damn good, but KG was always my favorite growing up. One of the main reason I started following Carolina and I never looked back.
Glad he Won a SuperBowl Ring with The Packers as the Linebackers Coach Against the Steelers that he used to played for and well deserved HOF Jacket Ring and Plague
Kevin Greene epitomized the ‘Blitzburgh’ defense… but I was so happy to see him come play for Dom in Carolina. He was in the backfield on EVERY play his number was called. A motor that ran on HIGH and a RELENTLESS pursuit… I mean RELENTLESS. Kevin wasn’t the fastest, nor the biggest but he had a heart and a motor that out lasted the sheer will and determination of any other opponent he was up against. 160 sacks (3rd NFL all time).. not bad for a walk-on punter at Auburn
That has to be one of the best nicknames. Glad he got it in Pittsburgh but would have sounded cool if him and Lloyd had it in San Francisco cause they have earthquakes, and yes I know Greg didn't play with the 49ers. I sure hope Greg gets in one day becuz he was relentless. (AVOID LLOYD)

I remember his last game with the Steelers, at the end of the game he went around the stadium on a jeep or golf cart and just waved goodbye to the fans and the city that loved him!
Time is such a strange thing. Seeing footage of these men in their youth in their prime and now seeing them recall those days with that glimmer in their eye really makes my heart heavy...even though they accomplished all that they set out to do, they would give anything to go back 25 years and just play one drive in their youthful body. I love the players from the 80s and 90s era when i was a kid...they gave us their best years.
You don't get a better football player and human being then KEVIN GREENE WE LOVE YOU KEVIN MAY GOD HOLD YOU NOW YOU DID YOUR WORK!! UNBELIEVABLE CHARACTER THIS MAN!!
Loved him lifelong Bengals fan saw him kick our ass a lot. My favorite Kevin Greene moment was when he was with the Carolina Panthers & he his coach was getting on them on the bench & he said something to Greene & Greene went crazy they had to hold him back from going after him.
Kevin Greene was a force to be reckoned with, but the Elway sack at 1:46 speaks volumes about the man! Mr. Greene was a man of fire, tenacity, honor, and respect, and our world could use more like him. Rest in peace Kevin Greene!
he was a ram first and always gonna be remembered as a LA RAM i remember when had sacked montana 4 times in the 1st quarter wich is one of the 1st things that come to mind when i hear his name and to show everyone how much he was LA RAM is when he showed up to the opening season game of the LA RAMS at the LA Coliseum last year to receive his induction into the LA Rams Hall of Fame along with Kurt Warner and Marshall Faulk there you go
As I definitely had heard of Kevin Greene, I had no idea he such a class act. From his thanks to God to his praise of the military, firemen and law enforcement, I am impressed. Good for him and good on all of us for watching and appreciating this! RIP!
Rest In Peace to this legend! Honored he chose to be a part of the Panthers organization. You will be missed!

I met him last month here in Canton, Ohio. He was an awesome dude. He was a great, nice guy.He even autographed my football.
Kevin, you were one of the best, with a motor that never stopped. You were a character and always made us smile. RIP big man, you earned it!!
a true warrior- yet extremely humble-- he will be missed! great man

All the 90's Steelers needed was a Big Ben and it could've been a dynasty. That defense was insane when you look at the players they had.
good comment, agree.
One of greatest linebackers ever giving one of the best HOF speeches ever. RIP Lean Mean Kevin Greene #Blitzburgh #160sacks
