For everyone’s reference, the arpeggio progression before Paganini was taken from Villa-Lobos’ Etude No. 2, which is also notoriously difficult but is a throwback to the classical guitar background of the kid.
I’m just so impressed with your ability. I wish when I started playing back in the early 80’s we had UA-cam and musicians like you. Unfortunately Hal Leonard books were about it. 🤘🏻
That was fantastic! Nice job on the video editing. Its amazing how far we have come with tech. Your video and angles were far superior than what they could do in the 80s.
Man I've been trying to learn this for literal MONTHS and I'll probably still be practicing it for years to come. The sweep picking part at the very beginning is just the hardest thing ever.
Been working on this one for a while. Not up to movie speed yet but its still a fantastic exercise. The biggest problem i have is the large octave jumps when playing fast they are tough
EXCUSE ME?! I'm learning how to sweep, after all these years. I can play this, but with the sweeping, in the intro, that's going to take time. it's so great. GREAT JOB! It is really fun, but it's hard to nail the tempo and few oddly-placed notes in the piece.
Hello! I'm from Italy, city of Genoa the same of Niccolò Paganini. You are a talented guitar player but at 0.33 you have written PAGINI. And don't forget "Paganini non replica"(cit). 🙂 PS In Genoa there is an important violin competition every year, an the winner plays the original Paganini's violin. Very good your metal version cover.
I don't understand the free membership thing, after joining for free and visiting the site, there seems to be no content available, literally everything has a "locked-Upgrade now" button? /confused...
@@beanleyhallsworth It's the same... except different strings and position lol. I think the original way (like Macchio is trying to copy) is a little more showy and sounds sharper on the top strings, but you wouldn't really hear that with all the distortion on yours. Great job though!
Left out that high A note at the end :( , I've been practising this solo for a while now, and instead of hitting the string off of the pickup, I just use a ring on my finger to hit that glorious high A. Also, IIRC Steve vai had submitted the parts to the movie studio where he "Fucks up" the response to ralph's part here, and the staff couldn't tell the difference because they didn't play guitar, so he had to go even further messing it up.
Just wondering what is the purpose of the one eye glass? Does only one eye have poor vision? Why does the one eye glass symbolize a professorial connotation?
While Ralph's fake electric playing doesn't really hold up, his fake classical playing is fantastic. I had to look back to see he wasn't actually playing that, impressive
Alright Bradley so it is Steve Vi and Rye Cooter that uh actually recorded this together and I don't appreciate the fact that you meddled it up cause it was perfectly perfectly fine before so I didn't really see an actual need for you to put gain and distortion on it it didn't really make it better in my opinion because I grew app with this movie loopy you want my opinion on it please take sounds good but please don't No no distortion on that it's supposed to be a classical piece and Ralph macho's character which is Rye cooter that's yeah he's the one who played that
Why is everybody putting Ralph macchio down saying that's really Steve Vai playing? Ralph worked really hard for 6 months to learn how to play like that

I don't know who won, but that Steve Vai guy is pretty great.
Yup..given the chance one day he could become a guitar god...maybe can be on stage with the likes of satch, eric, petrucci.
MR VAI
@@kidik5461I hope so, he should go on Britain's Got Talent.
Ralph Macchio swept his leg
@@whosaidthat84 , who?
I bet playing neoclassical music is Bradley's guilty pleasure. He deserves a Ferrari
👀
@@beanleyhallsworthhoping some COB covers soon 😄
He has the keys to the lamborghini
Your solo was the most spot on “cover” I’ve heard… I really liked what Steve did as Ralph in the movie
? Steve was not Ralph in the movie - or real life or make believe.
Ry Cooder did almost all of Ralph's guitar parts for this move, except for the 'Cutting Heads' duel.
Who do you think won the original duel? STEVE VAI or STEVE VAI?? 🤔
My money's on VAI!!!
Unofficially speaking, Ry Cooder won the duel.
I think STEVE VAI won
Some bloke , go's by BeanleyHallsworth.
we did... when something beautiful is produced, we all win!

Amateur classical guitar player here, practically all Villalobos pieces are a pain in the ass to play

Ol Hal Leanord... I still have some of those in a box
Been there done that!!😂😂
Nicely done good sir. Props to Ralph Macchio. What his fingers are doing genuinely doesn't look far off
He's got that karate kid training
That was fantastic! Nice job on the video editing. Its amazing how far we have come with tech. Your video and angles were far superior than what they could do in the 80s.
Amazingly played Sir Hallsworth
That young Steve Vai fellow seems to have a bright future ahead of him.
Really awesome Bradley. I love this solo so much and you did it well
Ralph Macchio is probably the most accurate guifakist I have ever seen
Phenomenal playing and a brilliant twist on the original! Amazing Bradley
Ry Cooder deserves more credit for his slide guitar.

First time hearing it with backingtrack and it sounds awesome 🤙
Dude as always!!! You are impressive.

Amazing work! 🔥
I saw a guy playing an explorer flipped over left handed today. It looked so freaking weird. I never even thought of it until I saw it.
Godamn dude. You are one impressive rippa. You should be on the top 250!
Wow you nailed it 🎉🎉🎉❤
Daniel LaRusso should have stuck with guitar instead of giving it all up for a karate tournament that he won with an illegal move... what a legend.
Haha that made me snort my coffee 😂
I always thought someone else played that guitar part, now i am for sure! 😊
so well played 👍
The movie the crossroads, he played the 5th caprice by Nicholas Paganini
Please make a lesson on it ! A great teacher you are !! Love from India!! ❤❤❤ Please 🙏 make a lesson

Legit one of my fav movies
The thing is… in New Jersey we always do the sweep. I think it’s sweet tho.
Sweet! it's unhealthy how much I love this movie haha! Looks like I've got some major practicing to do. Steve won lol
Very, very impressive bro
LOVE!!!
Oh Beanley...well done Sir Bradsworthington!!
No , wait. Mr Hallbillingslyworthington😂. I can't remember them all mate. Lol
Dude I've discovered the film yesterday, what a blast. Are you going to edit a guitar pro file of that solo ?
0:31 that note is hitting HARD!
Toight mate, you tickled my trick bag there
Ok but like what’s that beast of a guitar in the background???
You should do concerto by cacophony. I wanna learn it so bad
One of the best battles evr!
Love it. One of my favourite movies. \m/
Saaaaame

Glorious…❤ 👏
Bradley Hall is somehow now canon. I smoked way too much weed too early in the morning, I'm commenting on everything 😭😎😗💨💨
You should do a shred duel with Steve Vai. That would be epic.
I've tried this in the past and it's not easy lol
Ry Cooder played the Machio parts.
That's from deep within the memory banks so who fxcking knows really
I think that last bend needed a few more beans
Love thees vidoios !
I don't see the link for lessons?
Walter hill filmed another duel between vai and shuggie otis but it was cut from the film
It was Steve Vai or Ry Cooder who recorded the duel? I`ve read that was ry cooder and vai.
reminds me of fleshgod apocalypse for some reason

I've never seen someone play that C section at 0:50 like that. Usually there's much bigger jumps all on the first string.
It's the same, I'm just playing it on the B and G strings instead, makes way more sense imo

Was just about to comment this! I’ve been practicing the “movie” way and it’s so hard to stay accurate sliding 12 frets. Cheat code unlocked
Nice, but didn't Troy Grady show that Vai didn't sweep that sweep section? He used only alternate picking there.
Sabe!!! 👌🏻😎🤣
I always thought Scratch should have called foul on Macchio using his own music against him.
You are an amazing player, would buy courses from you rather than other youtube 'guitarists' 🙃
It’s just like a sin you don’t have millions views, gettings from Brazil🎸
If I'm mistaken, let me know, but I think the Ralph parts were played by Ry Cooder
Just the slide parts yeah!
Yo I have the red jacsion that the other guy is holding

Why does this guy look like a member of the defunct group, "the Zeroes", out here, in L.A., in the 80's??
can we get the backing track somewhere?!!
sorry i didn’t notice the end of the video haha
Whats the name of the movie
Crossroads
I honestly like Vai’s solo just prior to the kid’s.
Beautiful. Tone isn't improved, but I dig it anyway.
It's not Steve Vai playing. It's the Devils Spawn.
You may keep your soul

Think it might have been Ry cooder playing the other parts?
The slide parts yeah, not the shred bits lol
Noice!
All the other guitar parts were apparently done by Ry Cooder!!
🤔
Blind Willie is rolling in his grave.
I hope that guitar is more than 18 years old
Ralph Macchio can play that on classical with fingerstyle but slower, the question is.... can you?
comedy as hell,,really dont do this guy the credit he deserves for his playing ,,amazing guitarist.
Noice
I always found it funny, but to be fair. The only man who can duel against Steve Vai is Steve Vai.

You just sold your soul to Steve :D
Lesson here kid, practice because you're probably gonna need to guitar battle the devil for your soul.
It's about time you did something serious mate😅
What's a guy gotta do around here to get some boomer bends?
Not improved at all, but sounds good 🔥
Fun to see that Bradley, like 100% of all youtube guitarists, cannot play the arpeggio section correctly
UA-cam guitarists lol link to your version? ;)
It's still all the correct notes, I just chose to play it in positions I'm more comfortable with!
Please look up the word "improving" in a dictionary before using it in the title of a video.
You sounded off.
Fake,
Your hand movements don’t match Ralph’s at all!
Nope. The original is way better.
Why is everybody putting Ralph macchio down saying that's really Steve Vai playing? Ralph worked really hard for 6 months to learn how to play like that
