That riff is one of most recognizabled in Serbian rock, ever. EKV is absolute avangard of YU rock and most influential band for younger generations that comes.

Frontman of the cult band EKV, Milan Mladenović, died at the age of 36. His songs live today, and are even stronger. Just before death, he gave an interview in which he said: "IN NO WAY I REGRET WASTING ALL THESE YEARS ON SUCH A FRIVOLOUS THING LIKE 'ROCK AND ROLL', I THINK I COULDN'T HAVE SPENT MY LIFE MORE HONESTLY AND SINCERELY" What do you say, what a rnr man? ❤🌹

Great! ❤ This song "Earth" is a very pacifist song, begging people to stay at their hearths, not to go abroad or to come back (due to ex yu breakup). The singer says "This is the house for us, this is the home for all our children. Stay, come back, don't go." Today, this song is sung in children's choirs, even in kindergartens, to teach children pacifism and love for their country. The song is very strong in that emotion.

The text simply warns the masses about the preservation of Yugoslavia, the key part is when he says "Look at me with the eyes of a child" which alludes to the innocent look in man that we should have and not the look of hatred. This song was released in definitely one of the best albums (records at the time) ever from 1987. The song can also talk about a couple in love, so that it can also be romantic, or rather how one understands it. Milan Mladenovich was always ahead of his time when it comes to poetics in his lyrics ! Because just imagine that this concert was from 1991, when the civil war started, and the song was from 1987. How visionary the man was then ! 😯👏

Bili su ukleti. Svi su umrli osim Firčija. Njemu je umrla žena. Gledo uživo,većinom u Puli,strašan band.
Nije najvažnija stvar na svetu, ali... radi tačnosti. Umrli su Ivan Vdović (koji je svirao bubnjeve dok su se zvali Katarina II), Milan Mladenović, Margita Stefanović, Dušan Dejanović i Bojan Pečar. Živi i zdravi su Srđan Todorović, Ivan Fece Firči, Marko Milivojević, Dragiša Uskoković Ćima, Miško Petrović Plavi, koji ovde svra bas, Dragomir Mihajlović Gagi, Zoran Radomirović Švaba, Branko Kuštrin Mango, Ivan Ranković Raka, Dušan Petrović, Bata Božanić, Boško Stanojević Bole. Basista i bubnjar poslednje postave EKV, koji su sa njima snimili i neke od poslednjih albuma, Ćima i Marko Milivojević nastupaju sa EKV tribute bendom "Krug" koji svira po celom jugoslovenskom prostoru, pa ih nemojte propustiti ako navrate u vaš kraj. Znaao sam da je Firči bio oženjen Marinom Perazić, a ne znam da je imao još neki brak i da mu je supruga umrla.

Robk, to get the big picture of those days, you have to know this kind of music and concerts you could not experience in countries like Poland, Czechoslovakia, Romania, Poland.
It was consider as capitalist music, and was forbidden.
But the people of those countries were crazy after this music, but in secret places, buying LP records on the black market.
If you forbid something to someone, then all, that person wants is to get the forbidden ting. He gets obsessed with that.
So, that capitalist music and concerts were forbidden in eastern block.
Yugoslavia was not aligned country, no Soviet Union, no America.
And that is why Yugoslavia was completely different.
And YUGOSLAVIA was envy to all people in the Eastern block.
The most developed country economically in eastern Europe.
So unfortunately, it became a bit envy to the western powers too.
They didn't like free health care in, Yugoslavia, the free schools, universities. They didn't like because the workers in Yugoslavia were given 13th monthly wage, called K15. So they can use it to go on holiday. Most of the big companies built their holiday complexes near the sea side, so the workers of those companies could go on holiday for free.
And the big successful companies who were making profits, were building properties from % of the profits, and were giving those flats to the poorest workers of that company.
There was waiting list, and point based system, so those who could not afford to buy flat, were given free. More children, more points.
So obviously, in the eyes of the west that was very bad example, so the goal was to destroy those pro- people policies.
The company owners in the west want to keep all profits for themselves and the shareholders.
So,, there were different dimensions of Yugoslavia, not only the music.
After Tito died, young yugoslavs, western educated economists returned to Yugoslavia and spread the stories of the greatness of the western banking system.
IMF, first gave them credits which they couldn't repay. Intentionally.
And everything started going downwards.
And it finished with the wars.
So, from the most developed country in the Eastern Europe, became the worst.
And now, slowly, slowly the things are getting better in all republics. But, the vibe will never be so good as when Yugoslavia existed.
Only Slovenia remained good vibe. And Serbia and Croatia are slowly returning to better vibe and satisfaction of the life.
The problem, for example in Macedonia is, we don't hafe democracy anymore. It is just fake.
It is better to say we are kingdom.
And the king is The American ambassador.
For all important decisions, the politicians have to go to the american embassy, so the ambasador - king will say Amen.

@@sasokarapancev3675 They are my favorite band but they are not that authentic. Chorus riff in Zajedno is ripped off of Carole Kings - Too late, Tattoo riff is a Stranglers ripoff etc etc.. I love them but gotta say how it is.
