This is a masterpiece and also one of my favorites. That shows his genius for composing. It accurately described the struggle and confusion of the Monkey King during on the road to becoming Buddha. His emotional expression is incredible and his singing skills are amazing. This song won him great honors and awards.

I love Child as well. I have to say Giant Deer is the Hua Hua song I put on repeat regularly when I'm painting or doing something creative. I love everything he does.

Yes, this is in Chinese. Mandarin to be exact. This is the first song we heard. Daughter becomes his fan because of this song straight on first song. (Took me a bit more on the show, I never been a fan on any singers. I will loves song but not a true fans like this). We know about Wu Kong and this song is probably the first one that depict Wu Kong so accurately. In every series and movies, it’s always focus on his punishment and what happened after his retribution. No one is paying attention on how he was actually thinking before. Try Flammable and explosive on Singer 2018. What makes son a fan of him. I’m not saying which song that makes me a crazy and full Martians yet. 😉

After he sang it at this year's New Year deal , he walked downstairs (after dropping that gorgeous cape), and during that walk, they played him speaking. Don't remember it all, but I would love to hear that again!
Probably my favorite words of his are from the documentary while doing Super Boy. He is out in the snow, and what he says is so much how I feel in Nature. There is a lot of him out there to explore. I try to send him good wishes to balance the intrusion.

Might i recommend that you announce what your next Hua Hua song will be that you are reacting to and ask your subscribers to give you the background story to the future reaction video. It might help bring things into context as you watch the video. For example, this song is from the Monkey King. Monkey King, or better known as Journey to the West, is one of the four legends of Chinese literature. It has been made into movies and TV shows in China for decades. Monkey King is a monkey/human that has divine powers. The heavens are not happy with him because he is arrogant and undisciplined, using his powers for selfish fun and games. As punishment, he is paired up with a monk who is on his journey to enlightenment to the West. The group also consists of a pig/human who can change his appearance and has a vanity problem and a strongman. The four battle various demons along the way. The monk has power over Monkey king through a crown that can not be taken off Monkey King. Together, they build a bond and respect for each other and Monkey King learns the lessons of life and how to be divine. That is what this song is about.

Haha I know the feeling :).. that one isnt too far away now actually. I could easily sit there and listen to everything all at once. Exploring all this music at such a slow pace due to recording them is a challenge as I love music, but I also love listening to great songs repeatedly so thats been really nice too

From the list of songs from Singer 2018, you’ve already “explored” Qi Tian, Child, Nunchucks, I Don’t Care, Fake Monk, and I Am What I Am. A few more to go to finish up or if you want to vary it with his other songs. I think you will love the duet with G.E.M. I am rapidly trying to keep up with your exploring...whew!😂

HuaHua wrote this for a film called Wukong. It won an award from Singer for being the most viewed performance of the year. His ability to shift back and forth between singing and rapping amazes me. Most singers in the West bring in a rapper to do the rap parts. HuaHua has such mastery over his voice that he seems to assume that what he needs will come out. Don't give the lyrics a thought unless you know the mythology of The Monkey King. Can't tell you how happy I am that you are reacting to Hua Chenyu. For many of us he is the be-all and end-all.
Lets call it "exploring" him rather than reacting :). this is great song, im loving everything I hear from him for sure

The song title “Qi” is pronounced Chee as in cheese and you got “Tian” right. You noticed the muted percussions in “Child” and did you hear what the post production team of Singer 2020 did to “Bullfighting”? They suppressed the most impactful sounds - the bass drums beats - and amplified the sounds that were muted in his album version like the crashing sound. I think overall the best sounding on Singer 2020 was his “New World” performance except the rap part where they turned down his vocal. This is all post production sound editing and someone in the team prefers treble than bass 🤷♀️ His rock anthem “I don’t care” had the guitars muted too.

I like it too, what He does with art, that He can attract something and I don't know what to call it. I don't really like Chinese. And probably if Hua Hua lived elsewhere and used a different language but having the same artistic soul, it would also be brilliant.
