Man, you saved me so much trouble and your vid explained it to the point. Crazy how there's no info on how to or where to put this spring. THANK YOU!
Your video was perfect for resolving my problem. I knew it was the spring but couldn't find where to connect the ends. Thank you for saving me.
Great job. Had trouble locating the hole on return arm. Your pictures where spot on. Thank you.

Thankyou for putting this out - I knew it was the spring but had NO IDEA where it hooked around.... the rope advice helped as well....
Thank you for posting this video. The owners manual did not show where this attached too. Your video solved my problem. Thanks!
Excellent video! worked for my Husq 42" rider. I was puzzled about the placement of the spring until you showed the pics. Thx you!
Great video. Couldn't find one on the tube, until yours. Thanks for listing the part ## too. Peace out and God Bless.😎✌🖖🤘🙏🤝
I'm going to watch this again for I walked away for dinner hoping that it's the fix for me 😅
Great ideas on how to do it the easy way! Thanks...
We appreciate your video.
Thanks dude!
Very nicely done. What a great video!
This is very helpful! The hooks on each end of the spring are different, one being more closed than the other. Which end goes where?
Hey thank you
Thanks
was sold a "fully serviced" Toro lx 500. Well it bogs to the point it wont move, has a whining sound & then the gas peddle goes limp with no spring back. . I could smell belt , or something of a similar at one time as well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you this was extremely helpful. Do you know what the springs name is? How did you order it? Thanks again I have the exact problem I just need to know what the spring is called so I can order it.
Very well illustrated and I hope this is what's wrong with mine!
My brake/clutch pedal swings loosely like the spring came off. AS you press the pedal down there's no tension, and when you release the pedal it just floopy back and forth. I see nothing shown in a diagram of my Craftsman Manual to know what spring to order. I'm 72 yo, and I haven't got onto the ground to check it out yet. I have a Craftsman LT2000 Model#917.275180 (was a 19HP, but I had to installed a new 20HP recently). If anyone could help me with the Part# of the return action Spring I need, please reply. Good video friend. Thanks.
My beloved YT3000 just broke that spring leaving me stopped in the front yard.
Well I got my fingers 🤞..I got a red craftsman riding mower, starts, engine runs smooth, headlights work, blades engage, but don't move forward and reverse.Intimidating when your as mechanically non- efficient as I am!!!
Are the 2 springs the same?
Whats the part number for that spring?
Great video. I will try replacing this spring. My mower was fine then just quit going moving while I was mowing. I have been troubleshooting. I replaced the drive belt and still no go. The spring is not broken? However it seems stretched out. The belts need more tension. Do you think the spring could be the problem? Thanks
well I think this is my problem... damn.
Mine is long gone, was in a heavy poison ivy patch when it stopped moving, lol
Would you sell that bagger
Yeah
Must be same on all Craftsman's what's your mower man!? Craftsman.
Sigh
