What Jay is basically trying to say is “she’s hot”! 😂
Yasmin Love in not so many words! Lol.
😂😂😂👍
Yep. His face was so priceless at end of video when it cut out 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Beth Shadid I know, I’ve never seen him look so disappointed! 🤣 Bless, he keep it as professional as he could!
@@yasminm7157 He's never seen hot pants before! I saw nothing but when in high school in the early 70s. : )
"She's doing something to me", that's priceless! I hear you!!
She was causing you to make wood.
Inspired Austin Powers movies! (Remember that scene with the women shooting out of their tops!) 😅
That grin of yours is the perfectly captures how a lot of young (and not so young) men have reacted to this song. Well done.
In the old days, those dancing girls on TV shows were called "go go girls." LOL
Nancy and her boots were very popular back in the day.
Best line in this song:
You keep lyin' when you oughta be truthin'
J got hypnotized
Check out her big hit duet with her dad from 1967, "Somethin' Stupid."
And while listening, forget that she’s his daughter.
Such a great song!!!
@@doplinger1 I agree! I remember feeling weird when I heard her sing this as a duet with her brother on tv when I was little. Even in my immature little kid mind, I knew this wasn't a song to sing with your dad or your sibling! lol
Debra Kish 😂😂👍👍
It's the only song her and her father sang together. Beautiful.
Strong Austin Powers vibe with this song. Groovy, baby!
Wow, that’s an absolutely bang on statement.
Fem-bots baby!
Austin Powers has strong Nancy Sinatra vibes... must give credit where it's due 🙃
Ronald Elkins OH, BEHAVE!!! 😂😂😂
Nancy is very charismatic, and she owns the stage.....Fantastic !
She definitely inherited her coolness from her dad. 😎
There is a scene in the great old classic film, "It Happened One Night", circa '34, where a young, strapping Clark Gable peels off his clean white shirt, only to reveal, shock of shocks...he was not wearing an undershirt! Well...after that movie came out, undershirt sales plummeted.
When this song came out, and Nancy would sing it on TV shows...women boot sales skyrocketed. Go-Go boots, they were called, and Go-Go girls started popping up on TV and at nightclubs. It was an evolution of Can-Can Girls...who wore long dresses, but flashed the audience with high kicks and such.
Great song and reaction. Thanks.
Bwahaha, JV I laughed so hard, she had you totally entranced! Never seen you speechless lol
Jay I swear watching your reaction on this song your eyes kind of glossed over!!! LOL
These Boots hit #1 in 1966, the same year classic Star Trek premiered. You might see some similarity in style. ;)
It’s her “self-assurance” that makes her specially attractive. “Sexy Boss Women” 🙌🏽 mean what they say. Believe me, I know. ☺️
I was thinking, we don't see a lot of good healthy self-esteem from young women today. Too many fatherless, for one thing, which is linked to low self-esteem in teens, and too many see themselves as victims and are very angry. Confidence and femininity need to make a comeback.
Katherine Chapman Preach it‼️❤️ 🥳
@@LadyIarConnacht yeah . but alot these days are over confident . to the point theyre obnoxious . then when you point that out they get emotional . women fought for rights . now they have them , but want the best of both worlds , they want to be strong n hard n confident , but want to be treated like a princess to , "{"enter millennials ""
Not very often you're stuck for words J, love your reaction
"She's doin' something to me man..." That's how I feel every time I hear this song :)
She's just charmed the heck out of you! And for all the makeup and hair, you're right - that's a really genuine performance!
SO Sixties mod. Definitely do Dusty Springfield. That woman could sing!
I Just Don't Know What to do With Myself!
Dusty would be great. Try Cilla Black, too.
Would love to see a reaction to any Dusty Springfield song ..Son of a preacher man ?
Yes Dusty Springfield - you don't have to say you love me or Losing you
"I've just found me a brand new box of matches, yeah
And what he knows you ain't have time to learn"
Best lines of the whole song, in my opinion! And your reaction was great . ;D
And realize that this woman is now 80 years old and was THAT HOT 54 years ago! WOW!
Frank musta been a cool dad. My dad would’ve belted me for wearing a dress that short and sure wouldn’t have let me leave the house. Hahahah. I love those 60’s styles though. 👢 👢
Danelle B. Wish I could still wear these outfits....
My Italian American dad hated me wearing mini-skirts, but never wore any THAT short. Close, but not that short! I call Nancy my big sister. giggle
Mini skirts and go-go girls. Late sixties fashion. Hippy days. Song were short for radio play and variety shows. All the big bands and singers wanted to be on the variety shows on TV.
You should see some of the mini’s they wore in London in the sixties some girls wore crocheted dresses😱😂My cousin wore a very short mini dress school uniform!
Jemma James wasn’t there a famous fashion store profiled in the movie Bohemian Rhapsody?
2:26 only you Jovahgn can say something like this, so innocently😜 Such a sweet dude!🔥
I believe at the end they are doing the dance called The Pony. 😂
She did a song with her dad something stupid. Good song. I like this a lot. Go Jay get you lol nice reaction. 😀😀💖💕💖
This is one of the 1st songs that I remember from my childhood. Downtown by Petula Clark was another.
My dad saw her perform when he was in the Army back in the day and I guess she ate lunch with them in their mess hall.
she sings, "I just found me a brand new box of matches, yeah...and what he knows you ain't had time to learn"
Try her song “Bang Bang”. I think you will really like it...Cheers!!!😀
I love Nancy's version of Bang Bang, it's so good
@@motriesherbest One of the few instances where the cover is better than the original - now that Cher's version is bad or anything. Nancy Sinatra's version is just so amazing.
I love this song, discovered it in the eighties when I was a teenager. She was so cool and had attitude to burn
I love the background music of "the girl can't help it, she just can't help". Did anyone else notice that?
Classic!! Those go go girls behind her are fantastic too. They rehearsed the hell outta this, you can tell. I love it! Nancy is smokin’!
Haha great dancing!! Love it!!! ☮️
He was too into it haha
Our boy is having fun Donna. That’s worth a million dollars to me.
His look when it cut out was priceless 🤣
Now you're in my childhood. I danced like a crazy person to this song...I was four years old when it came out...
Jay, you are so priceless. It’s wonderful to watch you crush on Nancy. Never change.
In the day she reminded us that we had hormones.
This is a Lee Hazlewood song backed by The Wrecking Crew.
LOL..Love it.
Yes. Hazelwood was very active at Reprise Records and in Nancy Sinatra's catalog at that time.
Nancy was a swinging 60s chick for sure - she didn't write that song (it was written by Lee Hazelwood) but she sure made it her own. Frank's kids were well known back in the 60s - Frank Jr. was actually kidnapped in from a hotel room in Lake Tahoe back in 1963. He was released after two days when his dad paid a quarter million ransom - the kidnappers were found and prosecuted. Celebrity does have a downside.
When I first met my late wife, she was a Las Vegas Showgirl. She looked a LOT like Nancy Sinatra and used to perform this song as part of her stage act...including the dance from this video step by step. So this brings back a LOT of happy memories for me. This song was a huge hit for Nancy. A couple of her other big hits were Something Stupid (a duet with Frank) and You Only Live Twice, the theme from the James Bond movie of the same name. She also co-starred with Elvis in the movie Speedway, and sang a couple of songs in that movie too.
That’s so romantic, Larry! 💖💖💖
LarryWT She must have been absolutely gorgeous! Glad you have lots of happy memories of her 🥰
That feeling you’re feeling means you are a healthy young man with good eyes
Hi Jay, those young Ladies are giving you a perfect example of `60`s Go-Go dancing, I can understand why you were mesmerised !! I first saw that style of dancing in the `60`s tv version of Batman, with Adam West. Notice Nancy used the original move, made famous nearly 30 yrs later in the film Pulp Fiction, with Uma Thurman & John Travolta.
Nancy Sinatra and dem boots got you feelin' things! 😉
I think the line goes - "I found me a brand new box of matches. "
Did you know she sang the theme tune to the James Bond film You only live twice? Definitely worth a listen.
I also like "Sugar Town".
also, her little “ha!” sounds just like June Carter in “Jackson” which you should also react to!
I've loved that song since I was a kid. Would love to see a react.
Didn't Nancy also have a hit with, "Jackson"? Maybe it was the flip side of a hit, but If I remember right, she did a good job.
You were digging on those boots, J!🤣
I skated by Amoeba Music in Hollywood back in 2002-2003 and saw she was performing on their stage. Clem Burke from Blondie was playing drums and Gilby Clarke from GnR was playing guitar. Mr. Blackwell showed up, too. I got her to autograph my longboard.
That was the whole song. I think you caught was it is about this little song that makes it stick in your head and Nancy's performance. Great reaction.
I love Nancy Sinatra! I crushed on her hard when I was a teenager even though this song came out around the time I was born. She wasn't just beautiful but charismatic beyond her years.
We all had go-go boots and wore them to dances along with the short, short skirts and fishnet or lace stockings. Just like the go-go dancers. She even threw in a little Hitchhiker moves, too. We girls loved this song, it’s the perfect answer to Lou Christie’s Lightening Strikes.
I loved my go go boots! The dance at the end was called the Pony. They were also doing the Jerk.
Javaughn was smitten with Nancy! 🤣 love it!!! Always loved this song! Played it for a couple fellas back in the day myself- 😝 lol 💛❤️✌️✨
Kimberlini Bambini 🤣😍
I just watched it a second time. With the sound off. Just looking at JV's expressions. He's totally lit!
Memories wow I bet there was lots of guys wishing those boots would walk all over them lol Thanks Jay
This video is so Cool!!! Groovy Baby!!!!
My wife has Multiple Sclerosis and one of the annual fundraiser is the walk for MS.
We have our team name as “These Boots”
That is so cool! 💖💖💖👍
JayVee puts on this headphones, mind blown, crushing on Nancy. JayVee’s subscribers are just smiling.
She got you flustered... I love it! That confident woman vibe is something else
This is the first song I learnt to sing...........learnt the dance and everything....... I was 3! 🤣🤣🤣
Best Reaction yet Jovaughn.... 😛❤️
I love the power this song exudes.
Oh Jay you are just so cute and respectful -- your eyes at 3:22 ! LOL. You don't miss a beat and keep on going. Fun fun reaction!
Love this ! Nancy Sinatra sooooooo confident and Fun :) I think she really meant it...LOL. Better be careful guys ;)
She did another song called Bang Bang that's really good!
I was 5 when this song was a hit and I distinctly remember it.
Welcome to the club, Jayvee, you are probably only the 200 millionth guy to react to her this way, LOL. Heck I was a kid, probably around 12 when this came out and me and my buddies all said how "weird" she was when we were playing ball or whatever..but when we saw her and this video...well...weird isn't what we were thinkin'.
Still loving this song ever since it first came and I heard it on the radio. It's sassy, classy and full of attitude.
The follow up to this was "HOW DOES THAT GRAB YOU, DARLIN'" - It is worth looking at - also Sugar Town and she had several duets with Lee Hazelwood (who wrote and produced many of her songs): Jackson, Some Velvet Morning and Summer Wine
She sounds even better on "Sugar Town". You should see the record sleeve for it.
Brilliant reaction , still laughing 😁 I love this song, its great to see you 'really enjoy it. And it does cut off like that. My other fave of hers is Bang Bang. Thanks for this 😁😁💖
My goodness, these are all from my childhood Jovaughn! A big thanks Jovaughn. There great, this is too!
“Woah, she’s doing something to me.” We know exactly what she’s doing to you Jovaughn. 😉
Her most interesting song is the duet with Lee Hazelwood “Some Velvet Morning”. It’s a really unique song. But BOOTS is a great song. Go go dancers were a big thing in the 60s.
I love how YO is an emotion to Jay - keep them coming looking forward to the next vid
Best reaction to this song, yet. Loved it.
Your reaction was priceless!!! Yes, I find Nancy Sinatra very mesmerizing and just fun to watch:)
An iconic song for the 1960's women. She really was not known as a singer or rather a long lasting singer, but she did have this huge hit and another with her dad that I loved called, "Something Stupid". She really didn't have the voice to carry her into being an actual singer for the markets, but her Dad's influence help her acquire these two great songs that really, I can't think anyone but her to have sang them. A conundrum I guess.
I do have an interesting tidbit about Nancy Sinatra. She loved Elvis and she got her wish to meet Elvis when Elvis appeared on the Frank Sinatra show in 1960, she was about 18 years old at the time. She loved Elvis. Seven year later she appeared in a movie with Elvis, I believe it is called, "Speed Way", and sang a small part duet with Elvis.
Hot pants and gogo boots! Pretty risqué for that time!
Keep on smiling man! Your reactions make me smile!
1966 and Nancy telling it like it is lol. I've heard this song several times (at least bits) - never from start to finish. Awesome stuff and thanks for sharing!
Loved your reaction to this one, a delight to see your facial expressions during the clip
Who are you kidding? You fancy her rotten! 😂😁
Well, Jay, if you’re that much of a leg man 👀 you need to check out some back in the day Tina Turner when she was with Ike! Proud Mary will do nicely. Not the later, Wembley version, although it’s still officially dope.
You were definitely mesmerised JV, 😁😁😁, I think you were smitten, no two ways about it
i laughed through this entire reaction. this was a reaction like no other. haha
I love this one! She’s SPICY!
Rocking her 'Go-Go' boots. They are Go-Go dancing!!
This song was in the film, “Full Metal Jacket”. A classic scene!
Lol.... I so enjoyed watching you enjoy this song... This was one if my favorites as a kid( yeah I'm that old).
Lol... Nancy seems to have left you tongue tied!😂❤
Another great reaction
I love this song! I also love your reactions! you are the best💖💖💖
This is such an awesome song. Thanks for the reaction!
She got you all tongue-tied, J! 😆 Nice! ☮️
Bugger that it finished too early.
Great performance and great to see your reaction x
Please react to Sister Rosetta Tharpe... She started playing blues and Rock when
Chuck Berry was 10
Sister Rosetta is the queen!!
The following Nancy Sinatra songs are all worth checking out inc Bang Bang, This town, Sugar Town, Summer Wine, plus the collaboration she made with her father entitled something stupid and of course the theme from the James Bond film You Only Live Twice.
I actually posted this song on my FB yesterday. I fell in love with it from the very first moment I heard it. I am in love with Mr. Sinatra. ❤️☺️
Nivia D I loved this song, as a child of the 60’s, I used to dance to it then, all I can do now is shake my newspaper at it.
Dale Baker 🤣
I was giggling when it cut off at the end and he all "WAIT, WHAT". Mesmerized, indeed.
Your face when that video stopped suddenly was priceless. She has you stuttering. Adorable.
She says “ I just found me a brand new box of matches (means new man) and what he knows you ain’t had time to learn”
My parents had this 45 on our jukebox....memories! It was before my time, but because of them I heard it and would dance to it.
I found this song very strange (I probably was about 12 at the time) now it's quite facanating. 🤔🤔🤔🤣Shes not taking no crap. Love her. 🤗
Fab song & an even more fabulous reaction LOL Jay I wasn't sure which I was smiling more at. This is why so many people LOVE Your Channel, because your love for music & wow Jay you are such a down to earth, honest genuine person
😇❤
