You can clearly see the difference of how community react back then to now, If this video just uploaded today people will say this is nothing....damn.. i miss season 2
MingleStatus True, i uploaded a video with Thresh Hook Prediction on a LB Dash, and ppl start shittin me on LAN Forums :// i really miss the old seasons
Today they have zero cool down. Nothing impressive. I don't play this shitty game after I labeled it "League of Battlegrounds" because NA can't be methodical at all.
It was a very top outplay in s1~s2 memories, but now it look simple as basic skill of every Lee Sin player. I wonder how many people still remember the "inSec kick" meme.
***** I mean its kinda simple for high elo lee sins, idk if you remember when insec did the ward-jump kick in a pro game, it was something new and that's why the play is named like that, that play was godlike back then but now is something every lee sin player should know
no its not the only reason people started doing insec kick more was becuse ping is huge and when riot made ping better for a lot places people could actually practice it. its not because people "got better" a lot more went into it being more common than that. ping was a huge thing
Leesin be an overpowered champion, he be so overpowered he reminds me o' me old vessel, it be called deep red because it was so op you could feel it rippin' deep into your bunghole
+AegisFromAshes back in the days when 3000 elo was getting matched with 1800s, not everyone was actually good when playing against these strong players
Pretty sure there was very few people above 2500 elo at this point in season 2.Also, the Rammus is Lapaka, who was a professional player not that long before this video, and he was a very well known high elo player. And by this point, the matchmaking was pretty much fine.
+Jordan “Improve Your League” Williams Lee probably avoiding the taunt, if I was rammus I wouldnt expect Lee to jump over since he already threw the Q to the golems. Id point my mouse ready to taunt Lee towards left but coz Lee jump on the other direction, rammus was unable to taunt at the right time
He actually did it to avoid getting taunted by Rammus. By wardjumping over the wall he bought just enough time for his Q to hit the golem, enabling him to jump to marked target.
The distance of the ward has nothing to do with smartcast (thought it is still highly recomended on lee). To answer Handnoxus's question, wards work like flash, when the target will end up in terain, it is automaticly moved to the nearest open space, and for the ward, this was the other side of the wall
There are several factors. He dodged both Ezreal skill shots, rammus was unable to taunt because he went over the wall, Blitz could've grabbed forward. It also made for a good finish.
keep in mind this was posted may 9th 2012 and this is a reupload, at the time not only was this considered impressive ward hopping was still innovative not every bronze kid could do it. It also required an extremely large amount of calculations and luck to globetrot that far and then juke 5 people who all know what they're doing.
Welll let's see: Doesn't miss a beat not too mention that the last juke was amazing. He q'd the golems then he ward jump and then quickly go to golems. His reaction was perfect in this situation. And he then turned it around and a double kill if i'm not mistaken. To do that at such a high elo is impressive whether it is at 2012 or 2014.
Oh gawd... and now I'm watching this again and I notice that on his first ward jump he get taunted RIGHT at the last second by rammus... ANY hesitation in that move would have resulted in death... Well played, well played.
two things i noticed the second time around... The ashe arrow at :44... and the first time he jumped over to the wolves with a ward, didnt notice rammus taunted him
He wanted the shield and he had no way of knowing if golems were up or not, so it was worth a shot to just throw out the Q and see if it hit before he jumped to the ward, probably saw the Ashe arrow coming after that and knew Rammus wouldn't be able to do anything, so he jumped to the golem.
If he didn't W to that ward near his red, he would have been taunted before getting his Resonating Strike to the golem, making him come back just like the first ward he places. What really amazes me is his cold blood to ward the river (he didn't need that ward to escape) while running away. Game play at it's finest.
There was, he safeguarded across the wall before he saw ezreal arcane shift which wouldve saved him from blitz/rammus. When he noticed Ez had arcane shifted he immediately resonated to the golem saving him from both ezreal and blitz/rammus.
its a high elo game, link is the mid laner for clg, scarra was playing ap ez that game, and that is also why you see bigfatlp at the start of the video on pantheon. plus other high elo players
Changed his name already then, as he is no longer in team Orb, he is a wellknown 2.2k+ elo player, notice how this guy is in the same team as bigfatlp (CLG) and Chauster (From CLG aswell), while he plays against Scarra (Dignitas). This is a soloqueu game.
For your information Link is 2k+ Elo ranked player playing for Orbit Gaming and Rammus did taunt him at the start if you didn't notice. by the way it is spelled Taunted not tounted
he dodged Ez Q and he prevented getting Rammus taunted, since if he had casted Q only, Rammus might have caught up, since the cast time on Lees W is slightly shorter than the one on Q. AND Rammus loses sight like this.
it also dodged the ezreal q/w, which he would have been hit by if he just did qq. I was initially thinking, though, he did it to throw off a blitz grab. Jump over the wall, blitz grabs there, but the grab misses cause he's at golems. In the end though, who knows
I ain't gonna lie.. I came to this video expecting like a last minute ulti or just a single ward jump to save him.. but that freakin blew my mind.. that was amazing.
Contrary to popular belief, QQ is not a set of crying eyes. It actually originated with the advent of Warcraft II. On battlenet, you could press ALT+Q+Q to immediately exit the match and program. ;D
this is l1nk he plays at 2600 elo in NA, he is momentaly in CLG black. He is well known for always competing with scara and outplaying each other. Their relationship is like Azingy-TheOddOne... Great player, and very versatile.
He q'd to the golems to escape the rammus powerball/possible blit grab/knockup and it was to get rammus hit with the ashe ult. He w'd to the ward to dodge the ez skillshots, get an extra shield, and to escape from any further pursuit from rammus and blitz. :/
He probably did it because he needed to get away from rammus before he taunts him and since it takes more time for his Q to reach the golems he used the ward-shield to get a little more time.
As you can see he warded and used his "w". Rammus taunted but he could moved to blue and used his "q" to blue buff and they kept chasing. After from the part of tri bush he warded the other side and he used his "q" but he didnt click for to move. The best part he used his "w" first to move ward and after he clicked the the "q" again. After the ulti came from up side from Ashe stunned them and slowed. Warwick flashed and ulti. Panth came up and GG.
Anyone who's played/owns Lee Sin should try this themselves. It's just as hard to do as it looks. Now consider the fact that he did it without planning any of that ahead of time other than lots of wards.
when lee sin throw his first ward he is "taunted" so thats why he is not taunted at the golem Q resonant watch closely and legend says he is still escaping...
Can't believe it's been so long already. I remember my friend sending me this back in elementary school and we went crazy after seeing this.
Wow, how did I never realise this was Link?
ya, i think after 5 min he signed his name of a CLG contract
Brought by Link's story...
You can clearly see the difference of how community react back then to now, If this video just uploaded today people will say this is nothing....damn.. i miss season 2
MingleStatus True, i uploaded a video with Thresh Hook Prediction on a LB Dash, and ppl start shittin me on LAN Forums :// i really miss the old seasons
today, every silver player can do that
Today they have zero cool down. Nothing impressive. I don't play this shitty game after I labeled it "League of Battlegrounds" because NA can't be methodical at all.
link story brought me here T_T
look how long rammus taunt lasted
how long?
I miss the old days D:. oh well now it isnt bad.
bosco lai what old days? dota looks bad this isnt league, gg
vvvortic VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVORRTICCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Yeah u r right ;(
+Purple Wisps and shield.
It was a very top outplay in s1~s2 memories, but now it look simple as basic skill of every Lee Sin player. I wonder how many people still remember the "inSec kick" meme.
Yeah, but this play is Iconic
its not simple at all lmao
***** I mean its kinda simple for high elo lee sins, idk if you remember when insec did the ward-jump kick in a pro game, it was something new and that's why the play is named like that, that play was godlike back then but now is something every lee sin player should know

Nah people actually got better.
Just watch a season 2-3 pro game and compare it to now, back then pros didn't even try to dodge stuff
I miss those days.
Alright i was drunk out there o.O
Nah he would survive golem damage anyways thats not the problem, he wanted to avoid rammuses taunt
no actually taric made this even more epic.. funny guy ^^
2:32 i can imagine lee sin in a moving doing a slow mo move as ashes arrow goes through him and into the enemy
lol people had so much fun in all chat back then it's crazy how different it is today
ive seen this clip plenty of times....Had no idea it was link....bravo...bravo..
This video was like a movie, everything gets to the point of desperation before it gets better, it even has a twist in the end...
These are just my basic skills.
he dodged Rammus q and Ezreal q ;) It's the timing not the skill
oh im sorry :)
Not even your final form?
Um leesin? arent you blind
He does type quite well for being blind... ;)
literally the best lee sin video i have ever seen.
Am i only one who found out tarics slow motion dying voice to be hilarious?
literally the sickest lee sin plays iv ever seen.
Leesin be an overpowered champion, he be so overpowered he reminds me o' me old vessel, it be called deep red because it was so op you could feel it rippin' deep into your bunghole
This is currently the #1 Lee Sin play i have ever seen.
What happens when rammus doesnt input buffer his taunt
+AegisFromAshes back in the days when 3000 elo was getting matched with 1800s, not everyone was actually good when playing against these strong players
ZachhasOranges that would be pretty wild, fun times im sure :P
Pretty sure there was very few people above 2500 elo at this point in season 2.Also, the Rammus is Lapaka, who was a professional player not that long before this video, and he was a very well known high elo player. And by this point, the matchmaking was pretty much fine.
Anyone watching this nostalgic clip in 2017?
2021 player
Wow saw this before didn't realize it was link :O
because to lee sin the enemies are invisible (fog of war after ward jump) and he was suspecting they'd go around the other way
am i the only one who noticed that w over wall to q on the golem didn't help him at all? could have just straight Q'd to golem.
+Jordan “Improve Your League” Williams not true, the rammus would've taunted the lee as he was q'ing towards the golems.

1:56 Ezreal is scarra :O
What u mean with Fixed?
But note this - Chauster, Bigfatlp and Scarra were playing that game - players from top 5 teams in league of legends
ive seen this before, but just noticed it was link
It's quite crazy that Lee Sin plays are still developing even though he was released quite a while ago
Is this Link before Hearthstone?
This never gets old
Wtf 5 ap.
Good old jokes.
Adept16 You do know why he had 5 ap, right? Cuz it's not because of items, masteries or runes. Nor baron or any other monster.
TheHupe Masteries tree- when ignite is on cooldown u gain 5 ad and 5 ap
Pls....
That's why i said "Good old jokes" T_T
been looking for this for laike ages amg!!
back when diamond I was easy
Between this and the donezo manifesto, this mean really was an artist
ahh dodge chance remember when that was a thing?
Jax remembers
@@greg77389 the fountain remembers
Read the description :P He meant the video was uploaded before but the quality was bad, now he "Fixed" it.
rip clg link

Oh jeez nerf Link plz
There are several factors.
He dodged both Ezreal skill shots, rammus was unable to taunt because he went over the wall, Blitz could've grabbed forward.
It also made for a good finish.
What was hard here?
Ok, go film your own lee sin great escape in diamond and then you can brag.
keep in mind this was posted may 9th 2012 and this is a reupload, at the time not only was this considered impressive ward hopping was still innovative not every bronze kid could do it. "It also required an extremely large amount of calculations."
HAAAAAAAAAA-HAHAHA.
And in that moment, Jiji knew he would be replaced forever.
XD THAT PLEY WAS SO KOOL LOL ! I WISH LEAGUE OF LEGENDS HAD KILL CAM SO I COULD SEE IN SLOW MOTION XDDDDDD I WISH U PLAY NON OP CHAMP THO LOL XD
and legend says he is still escaping....
nothing special lol.. didnt need to do this but ehh why not
Blast3rrProduction back then that was "good"
Blast3rrProduction How is this nothing special? Especially the last part.
Ya, that Ashe arrow is special. Lee would have certainly died without that Ashe ultimate
THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL.
Dude the play at 45 ish seconds is CRAZY holy shit dude, that was epic!
Oh gawd... and now I'm watching this again and I notice that on his first ward jump he get taunted RIGHT at the last second by rammus... ANY hesitation in that move would have resulted in death... Well played, well played.
two things i noticed the second time around... The ashe arrow at :44... and the first time he jumped over to the wolves with a ward, didnt notice rammus taunted him
Read the description and you will understand why he wrote fixed on the title
He wanted the shield and he had no way of knowing if golems were up or not, so it was worth a shot to just throw out the Q and see if it hit before he jumped to the ward, probably saw the Ashe arrow coming after that and knew Rammus wouldn't be able to do anything, so he jumped to the golem.

Back when you could heal to full off red with a lantern...
One of the greatest plays of all time.
There was, he safeguarded across the wall before he saw ezreal arcane shift which wouldve saved him from blitz/rammus. When he noticed Ez had arcane shifted he immediately resonated to the golem saving him from both ezreal and blitz/rammus.

This. Also he dodged Ezreal's Mystic Shot; it also made Rammus and Blitzcrank go back, stalling them for Ashe's ult to hit.
For your information Link is 2k+ Elo ranked player playing for Orbit Gaming and Rammus did taunt him at the start if you didn't notice. by the way it is spelled Taunted not tounted
i like how he ulted twice and how irelia was like just doing dragon
What i first thought this was was some sort of glitch where lee sin uses his safeguard on a grand skyfalling pantheon or something similar to that.
he dodged Ez Q and he prevented getting Rammus taunted, since if he had casted Q only, Rammus might have caught up, since the cast time on Lees W is slightly shorter than the one on Q.
AND Rammus loses sight like this.
he had a ward in the bush, he knew it was there.
it also dodged the ezreal q/w, which he would have been hit by if he just did qq. I was initially thinking, though, he did it to throw off a blitz grab. Jump over the wall, blitz grabs there, but the grab misses cause he's at golems. In the end though, who knows
Wiggles, Bloodthirster, and his W gives bonus lifesteal.
I ain't gonna lie.. I came to this video expecting like a last minute ulti or just a single ward jump
to save him.. but that freakin blew my mind.. that was amazing.
Lee Sin are known for its jukes and escapes and big plays
Well played man...very nicely done...
Just another Lee Sin passing by
this is considered normal play in high elo now, crazy huh
Perhaps the greatest play of all time.
Lee, sin, i give my heart to you, because THAT WAS F***** EPIC!
*crys in joy*
He... He... He still has flash at the end of that...?
That Lee Sin needs some sunglasses right the fuck now.
Nothing seemed particularly impressive until 0:45... that one was just completely mind blowing.
Contrary to popular belief, QQ is not a set of crying eyes. It actually originated with the advent of Warcraft II. On battlenet, you could press ALT+Q+Q to immediately exit the match and program. ;D
Congratz on AP on CLG. Make us proud
ashe arrow on the taunter, and the golems that follow lee preventing blitzcrank from pulling him haha everything's perfect
this is l1nk he plays at 2600 elo in NA, he is momentaly in CLG black. He is well known for always competing with scara and outplaying each other. Their relationship is like Azingy-TheOddOne... Great player, and very versatile.

He probably did it because he needed to get away from rammus before he taunts him and since it takes more time for his Q to reach the golems he used the ward-shield to get a little more time.
0:48 is this an AP WW?
nope on-hit
He wouldn't have been able to react and it's actually it's outside his taunt range.
The Legends says they are still chasing...
He dodged both the Rammus taunt and the EZ skillshot.
This Lee Sin is truly outrageous!
Wriggle's Lantern* haha sorry. It's an item that lets you put down wards every 3 mins, with armor, attack damage, and lifesteal given to you.
Ironically I like these graphics better... So much more colorful and vibrant
Mushroom Style The "must eradicate all detail" graphics style of the new SR & skins is awful, yeah.
Best lee sin play I have seen.
Anyone who's played/owns Lee Sin should try this themselves. It's just as hard to do as it looks. Now consider the fact that he did it without planning any of that ahead of time other than lots of wards.
I would've ignored that taric immediately
when lee sin throw his first ward he is "taunted"
so thats why he is not taunted at the golem Q resonant
watch closely
and legend says he is still escaping...
unfortunately in S3 blue ezreal builds wud have prevented ree singa right before the blue golem Q part
I liked the game so much more back then
im waiting for the day i get this good
Link has been on a few pro teams and has been a really high ranking player since at least S1.
