Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 Night Run | Military Aviation Museum

A night run of one of our Merlins at Vintage V-12's, finishing up a scheduled overhaul. Night runs give us a visual confirmation of the exhaust flames, their color, and firing order to verify the engine is operating correctly. Engines are run for several hours on a stand before being reinstalled on an aircraft after an overhaul.
