- One of the temples at the Kek Lok Si Temple complex in Air Itam, Penang was badly damaged after a fire broke out in the wee hours of Tuesday (Oct 12).

Much money was spent on renovations but fire and safety requirements were not present.

sad .... any lighting is a risk ...i visited here in may14th 2020 n again in june 13th 2020 ....nice place to visit .... was thinking next month but cancel to early next year ....

It must be caused by burning jossticks. The caretaker might hv forgotten to monitor it.
