    Just watched the video and I have to say what a professional video it was, Although I don’t have the same make of motorhome as yourselves I would agree whole heartedly in your comments about building up a relationship with the dealer you buy the motorhome home from.
    I purchased a new Autosleeper in 2017 from a local dealer because its reputation and not the dealer who offers me the best trade in price on my part ex It has paid dividends over the years.
    Enjoy your motorhome Terry

    • @LiveforTravel
      @LiveforTravel  Місяць тому

      Thanks. Absolutely agree. We have found that warranty work on a Motorhome is not treated the same by dealers as a franchised car dealership. Which is quite unreal when you think of the cost of the vehicle. So a ‘very reputable’ dealer is worth much more to an owner than any discount. Thanks for your support.

    Brilliant balanced video. I’m not in the market for a van just yet, but when I do it’s the balance between space inside and everyday mobility with car parking spaces etc. I definitely think this van offers the best of both worlds from what I’ve seen so far.

      Thanks. Having the washroom across the back allows for a separate shower and the feeling of space in the living area. If you can cope with having to make up the bedroom each night then it’s great for a 6m van.

    Hugely informative and a really good watch to boot. This is what we want - user reviews! I came here just for some insight but i have to say your presentation style is so objective and impartial I took it all in from beginning to end and I don't normally stay until the end. I'm looking at more of your reviews now that this motorhome is on my shortlist. with the Pilote and Adria 6m compact offerings,. Good thanks for the good work matey.

      Thanks. We are very happy with our van but, like with any manufacturer, it is quite simple to find people who have had problems. Some serious.
      Part of the problem comes from warranty issues as many dealers refuse to do warranty work if they didn’t sell the vehicle. Unlike cars, that can be taken to any dealer, our “expensive” campers don’t receive the same level of service.
      Thanks for watching and your support.
      We hope you find your new van soon.

    Great in depth but non sensational video. Well done and thanks. We hired one of these in 2018 for 10 days in France for our first experience of motorhoming. I think we got lucky because years later as I start to look seriously at buying, the T590 layout (and perhaps the very similar Pegaso) still just makes so much sense. So much space because the bed’s not blocking space when you’re not using it. I think I’d struggle with most Ducato campervans where the only sitting area was a couple of very upright seats wedged tight to a table.

    Very nice spacious van. So the bed comes all the way down to the seats, so you just climb in but just a little higher than the seats. I had the same recall on my Fiat but great other than that. Great review. Thanks.

    • @LiveforTravel
      @LiveforTravel  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks. The bed comes down near the seat bases. Roller Team told me (although not with any specific detail) that the elevating bed has to stop before the seat base to allow for a space beneath; presumably to prevent it being lowered onto somebody. But it will lower enough to climb on without the ladder. Thanks for watching and your feedback.

    • @LiveforTravel
      @LiveforTravel  11 місяців тому +1

      The prices are higher certainly. They may soften a little in 2024/5 but will never return to pre supply issue days as a lot of the extra cost has come from the base vehicle’s even before the converter adds their margins. All the best with whichever van you choose.

    Love the channel! We are looking at getting a “Memory Maker” in the near future so in the research stage and your reviews/videos have helped tremendously!
    One question I have from watching this video is regarding the TV. In the video you show outputs for both aerial and satellite. Do Rollerteam motorhomes come with a dish or aerial fitted as standard or is this something you have to purchase separately with a similar connection box on the roof etc.?
    I have another question regarding motorhome security so one I’m not sure you will want to answer publicly.
    Many thanks in advance 👍

    • @LiveforTravel
      @LiveforTravel  2 роки тому +2

      Thanks. That is lovely to read.
      Roller Team did not fit the aerials as standard on our 2020 model. We paid approximately £200 for a TV aerial which was fitted by the dealer. With regards to security, you are correct, we do not go into any detail with our van on the channel. Many people with have their opinions with regard to vehicle security and some insurers will require more than others.
      Happy for you to send an email to us if you would like to know a little more about what we do and who we use to insure the van. Email livefortraveluk@gmail.com

Definitely will be taking a car out for a drive first, I have driven Luton’s before so size isnt a problem, just to make sure the engine is okay ,,,,,and it’s hasn’t had any hard knocks, had a chap tried to sell me a car back in 2016, the car was only a year old…..but I had to fight with the steering, so I knew it had had a bad chassis, he was a dealer, so I said wanted to take for a drive over to the other side of the island, and took it to my friends husband who was mechanic, and yeah, the chassis has bent. Hi and thanks for all your great videos. You've convinced me to buy a new (2024) 590 and I have to make my final decision re manual or automatic (9s). Always like driving manual, but wondered if you have any words of wisdom on the decision? Many thanks.

    • @LiveforTravel
      @LiveforTravel  6 місяців тому

      Thanks. Of course the gearbox is a personal choice. My take, wouldn’t call it wisdom, is that on the later Fiats like ours and the current model, they are ‘proper’ 9 speed automatic gearboxes. The older models had an automated clutch fitted to a manual gearbox and were… not very good.
      What I like is I can get in, select ‘D’ put the armrests down and then waft along with the windscreen being like a widescreen tv. It gives a much more relaxed feel. Nothing to think about other than enjoying the drive (and keeping an eye on those mirrors on country lanes 😁). There is a price premium to pay but the smoothness is just worth every penny.
      All the best with whichever you choose.

    • @LiveforTravel
      @LiveforTravel  6 місяців тому

      Thanks. I would always suggest, like with any vehicle but particularly with a Motorhome, service and because it’s a Motorhome, habitation check history is king. Our van has records of both vehicle maintenance and an annual habitation inspection certificate, done by a qualified (and award winning) business.
      I would walk away from any vehicle that doesn’t have it as issues, damp being the main one, can be relatively cheap (sometimes) to repair if caught early but cost so much money if they are found too late.
      All the best with your search and thanks for the feedback.

    • @LiveforTravel
      @LiveforTravel  2 роки тому +2

      Kay, very sorry for your loss. The market for campervans and motorhomes is not stable at the moment and buyers will be paying a premium that will likely be gone by 2024. A new model of our van now starts at £65900 which is many £1000’s of pounds more than we paid in 2020 and ours had the upgrade engine and gearbox. The supply issues also mean it could easily be over a 2 year wait for one.
      So like everything in life it depends on budget. Used ones do come up for sale but are offered at prices that are at least 20% higher due to the current climate.
      I can’t recommend any dealers local to you as we have only used one (which is “down south”) but i would join (if you are on Facebook) the Roller Team group. Link below. There will be many owners on there and certainly will be a good source for recommendations on a good dealer.
      I sincerely hope you get the van you want Kay and carry on your late father’s dream.

    Hi. We’ve been enjoying your reviews and thoughts on the T-line 590. We’re hiring this model later this year. I’ve heard that showering has to be ‘quick’ to avoid running out of water. Would like to know your thoughts on the use of the shower in the motorhome.
    Thanks,
    Mike

    • @LiveforTravel
      @LiveforTravel  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Mike. Like all vans the hot water is limited by its capacity. Our van has a 10 litre hot water tank so taking a shower requires a little more thought. Basically we run the shower, turn off the shower, apply soap, then turn the shower back on to rinse. We hope you enjoy the van. Thanks for your feedback.

    • @1ekky67

      @@LiveforTravel ok thanks.
      I assume the hot water is mixed at the shower so the total available from one heating cycle is moire than the 10L?
      If you use up the capacity does it just start to run cold or turn off?
      Apologies for the basic questions but this is all brand new to us.

    I’ve also been looking at the Bailey Adamo 60-4.
    In this the model the double bed can be lowered all the way down so you don’t need a ladder. Can this be done in the Rollerteam?
    Also how do you manage with waste and water if you are not at a campsite but off grid or at a festival for instance?
    TIA

    • @LiveforTravel
      @LiveforTravel  11 місяців тому

      I don’t know for the Bailey. In the 590 we can lower the elevating bed down to seat cushion level and remove need of the ladder although you have to move some seat back rests to do so. For waste water, fresh etc at a festival we had basic facilities so it wasn’t an issue. If we were off grid, depending on if there are only 2 of us or 4, we would book one night every 2-4 days at a campsite to recharge, refresh and remove waste water.

    Hi - just watched the video.
    Thinking about getting this van or the Pegaso 590.
    Just wondering where you store all your clothes especially for a family of 4?
    You seem to be using the wardrobe as general storage

    • @LiveforTravel
      @LiveforTravel  Рік тому +1

      We use individual packing bags and place them in the garage areas during travel. When on a site (simply for ease) they are moved to the front footwell whilst the seats are turned round. The general storage use in the video is not quite the same as when in use. The video was filmed during vehicle storage.
      As a van we think for 6m they are excellent. Ours and the Pegaso model. The only thing I would ask anyone to consider with the Pegaso, not to put a buyer off, more to make aware, my background was in automotive glass. The Pegaso uses a unique windscreen, side glass and mirrors. Being unique they are both expensive (although likely covered by insurance) and more importantly, harder to source. We have seen images of a mirror being smashed and taking out the side window at the same time. Personally, I am happier knowing that ‘everyman and his dog’ stocks a Fiat Ducato windscreen and the side glass and mirrors are available to order VOR (vehicle of road) for next day delivery.
      If you do go and order a Pegaso I would ask the salesman about stock of the windscreen. If he or she says they are readily available for next day… I would suggest they are lying.
      All the best with whichever van you choose.

    Hi I’ve just subscribed to you, as I can keep this size on my drive, I have mobility difficulties & this model seems ideal for our needs, going to check any modifications in the 2023 model ( is there an extraction fan over the hob?). We live in notts but can’t find a dealer close, can I ask who you used please. Finally would you buy this model again, thank you, as you say this is an expensive purchase, we want to have days, weekends,& our holidays in our purchase & watching your videos this looks idea, would really appreciate your feedback back. 😊

    • @LiveforTravel
      @LiveforTravel  Рік тому +1

      Thanks. The van offers more space than you would typically expect from a sub 6 metre vehicle. There is no extraction fan. There is a window and a roof light. We have filmed a video (coming soon) about payloads. In the video we discuss the payloads on our 2020 model and the 2022 van. Depending on whether you opt for an automatic (which adds 33kgs to the van) the payload drops from around 550kgs to just over 300kgs. Something to consider I suggest. Would we buy another one? Yes. There are some people who have had issues with their vehicles (they are complex machines) and some of those haven’t received good service from the manufacturer. Like we said in previous videos, I can find stories where there have been issues on other makes too. In the UK the T-Line 590 is popular with the rental market… and that won’t be just down to price. Our advice is to find a reputable dealer and try to get one as close to you as possible. Motorhomes, unlike cars, don’t get the same service with warranties and often only the actual selling dealer will help. We purchased our van from the NEC but the dealer is down south. We don’t have any recommendations unfortunately although Don Ammot Leisure (just off the A38 between Derby and Burton) seem to have good feedback.
      Whatever van you decide we wish you many happy travels in it. Thanks for your comment and your support.

    Hi, enjoyed your video. I currently have a 2yr old Columbus 540 with a bed across the back and a pop top. Unfortunately I can’t sleep without a 6” thick mattress due to back problems and my granddaughter has decided she doesn’t want to sleep in the poptop and currently sleeps in a cabbunk across the front seats. Sadly she is stretching at an alarming rate and in less than a year won’t fit so we’ll need to change the van. Do you know if there is a version of this that does away with the centre dinette and rear washroom and has a bed across the back in addition to the dropdown, while still being under 6m?

    • @LiveforTravel
      @LiveforTravel  2 роки тому +1

      Not discussed on a video but personally we couldn’t justify the price difference. Also, as my background was automotive glass, I chose to have a van with a windscreen which is kept in stock as its a standard fitment on them all and the same for external mirrors. Both are items that may be damaged and the supply of them is simpler due to them not being bespoke to the Pegaso. Unfortunately, I have seen exterior mirrors smashed on the Pegaso where it has also taken out the side window; which is also bespoke.

      Possible to do yes. Depending on the system fitted our Xzent allows the 2nd camera to be on whilst driving but it cuts out any other media playing; radio, USB etc. Personally I like to leave the near side mirror alone as it helps gauge how close you are to the side and a view from a camera won’t do that but of course it will show what’s behind you which is what you are seeking to achieve.
