I can't believe no one has at least mentioned this, and by now MP5 purchasers (yes, I mean clones) don't all know this. There is NOTHING wrong with your MKE mags, there's also NOTHING wrong with your ETS (polymer) mags either, unless you break a feed lip on one of those. The MP5 original SMG was designed to fire 9mm NATO ammunition and NOT hollow point (JHP) ammo. The ONLY MP5 clone I know of that fires jacketed hollow point ammo is the HK SP5 which is built with the feed ramp of a Glock or Sig Sauer pistol for example made to chamber JHP. That's one of the major selling points (that and the name) of the higher priced SP5. I own a PTR-9c and a Zenith Z5RS. The Z5RS is the EXACT same gun as the Century Arms AP5. Zenith, who now manufactures their own, is the former marketer of the MKE gun. The PTR-9c speaks for itself. I just put a Holosun DRS-NV on it and will NEVER worry about that pic rail breaking off or losing zero on such a heavy optic. If you take the Century Arms AP5 and install a (pricey) HK MP5 9mm FBI (0,1) Ambidextrous Trigger Group you will have the HK SP5 but with the HK MP5 SMG 2nd Push-Pin above the paddle mag release as the HK MP5 which the HK SP5 doesn't have. It makes it a 2-pin lower just like the MP5 subgun. That's why I got one even though I have an (Excellent) PTR-9c which I love. Since I just got back from the gym I thought I'd take the time to send this out. Semper Fi.🇺🇲
Grammar first! - NOT, "There is some quality issues" - but "There ARE some quality issues". I hear this more and more and it's getting out of hand. Nothing wrong with these MKE magazines, they are as reliable as the very expensive HK versions. Also - WHAT is the obsession with putting cans on anything? Just leave it and run the piece in without half the USA strapped to it.

Interesting I have had nothing but success with my factory mag and I bought an additional MKE with no problems. I have absolutely loved my AP5
Most MP five and MP five clones struggle with the flat nose ammo because they do not have regular feed lips. It’s not a magazine issue.
