I do this pattern but I do the fly with thunder struck flash instead of the fibers to me it gives more of a realistic replication of a sardine ( more bling ) 🐟👀
I'd like to troll that fly in the delta for spring and fall run stripers. I would troll it with a wiggle disc in front of it about 4 inches up the line.
Why do you wrap the fibers around. Enrico does a top and a bottom and you do top near and top far shanks and a bottom near shank and bottom far shank. I get a better profile I feel.
Disagree. The point of the the trimmed post is to make a direct eye/glue connection with the hook shank. Yes, they are not as easy as epoxy eyes but they are incredibly durable. My buddy and I hooked 20 tarpon on the same fly and the eyes remained intact.
I also disagree. I am also from Long Island Sound waters. We have these things called Blue Fish AKA one fly per fish UNLESS you glue everything and goop eyes just don't stand a chance.
Thank you for the video i appreciate it cause i am 12 and i have only tied 4 but my last one is very good😁
Nice , don’t get much easier to tie . It’s all in the trimming. Thanks for sharing

This guy must be EXACTLY 1 1/2 inches long and you have to use this brand mono filament 😂🤦
EP eyes pretty much are crap eyes, especially with the post. Epoxy eyes are just way better and easier to deal with.

Also a little heavier to get it to sink a little more.
