- I kept seeing Olive & June nail polish all over instagram and decided to try their press on nails. I had really high hopes based on the brand's reputation. I highly recommend you watch this video before purchasing Olive & June press on nails (at least the glitter kind).

Your honesty is refreshing and your delivery is wonderful. Thanks for taking the time to produce this review and tutorial.
Thanks so much
I had a similar experience! I was so pumped to try this brand because they had great reviews and were only ten dollars for so many nails. I bought their short red ones from Target and put them on night before last. Yesterday, before even 24 hours has passed, I looked down and half of one of the nails had broken off. I hadn't washed dishes or really done anything that would have possibly caused it. Then several of them started randomly popping off. One of the ones I reglued, a chunk of it just suddenly broke off the end and left a big jagged edge. Shortly after, on my other hand the same thing happened to another nail. I am so mystified why these supposedly great nails are falling completely apart on me. I have never had press on nails do this before. Really disappointed in them and now 2 days later I'm up late about to take them all off and try again with other nails so they'll look pretty for Christmas. Sorry you had a bad experience too!!!
I definitely don’t wish a bad experience on anyone, but it’s also validating that I’m not “the only one”, and that your set was a totally different color and still broke!
LOVE your ring! Absolutely gorgeous! I was going to ask if it is your wedding ring but I saw your previous comment about your son.
I don’t wear it too often, but I always enjoy it when I put it on.
I just tried OPI Xpress nails and they’re great! Going on day 8 and they’re still strong. Just soak in water for 10 mins to remove
Oooh, I’ll look into those. Thank you
I bought a set of these a few weeks ago and haven’t installed them yet. they’re so curved that it seems uncomfortable. I don’t normally use press-on nails so it’s new to me..I’ll try them and see how it goes. thanks for the detailed review, it’s too bad they were disappointing.
The curve on this is unreal! It wasn’t too bad comfort wise after application (the next day), but during it was definitely not my favorite. Perhaps they will last better for you than they did for me
Your ring is super pretty
Thank you. It has the mutation my son has engraved on the inside. Just like him, it’s different but amazing.
@@kbeautyhobbit My heart...💜
I'd recommend using different prep pads for each finger cause if you don't it could spread the oils from the other fingers also when sorting the nails, u can sort them out and write down the exact nail size for one hand and just match it up with the other
I haven’t had any oil issue using the same pad. Most brands just give you one.
i haven't tried the o&j brand yet, despite having bought them a few months back. The c-curve on them is super curved and deep and my nails are naturally pretty flat. They do not look like they will be comfy to wear at all. Have you tried getting any off Shein or Aliexpress? They're surprisingly good for shorter-term wear and if you use a top coat to seal in the designs.
No I haven’t tried those. I’m pretty hesitant to buy anything that will come in contact with the skin on aliexpress. I do have a cheap pack from Temu that I plan on trying soon.
I can appreciate that… I thought the same exact same thing!
I saw another video which recommended filing down some of the nails that are too big / wide and you can also get a second mani. Also if you soak the nails off in soapy water (in the instructions) you can re-use them. ❤️
Have you seen the end of the video? These are horrible quality and I have 0 desire to use them again.
@@kbeautyhobbit I was just sharing the idea in case anyone who viewed your video wanted to get more wears out of them.
Yes I appreciate it ❤️
@@bluetuber501who otherwise would want to reuse nails that were peeling?
I just bought a set of these- I've never done press on nails before and I too am concerned about how curved they are. Thanks for the help.
I always hope people like their purchases, but this brand was absolutely not for me. And customer service was iffy
I love the O&J brand, I like their polishes way more than their press ons mine tend to pop off. They also have helpful at home tutorials for their normal polishes.
I’ve heard good things about their polishes but I usually only paint my toes. And my favorite brand of polishes are ILNP. Also the way the brand handled this whole fiasco with the press ons doesn’t make me want to buy from them again.
I think the problem was the set. I wore their HZ set and it lasted 2 weeks with no fading or peeling of the color
Was yours also super curved though? That was another issue I had. And the break :/
I'm wondering how you get them off
Wait two days and they pop off all by themselves 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🥵
The curvature is too much for me. Thank you for another great and honest video.
Yup and if that were their only issue I might still say it’s a good product… but nope
Me too. I couldn't stand the paim
I just tried a set and the curve definitely made it difficult to apply - I had to really smash my fingers to get them on. My thumbs hurt the most and I ended up taking them off with acetone after 24 hours. Super disappointed as they did look beautiful.
Static nails have less of a curve and a similar look. I have a video about them too. For me, it wasn’t a smashing success but if you are good with glue ons you might like them.
Lord you really struggle with just holding the nail for 30seconds LOL
Oh yes. Because that’s 30 seconds per finger. But if that were the only issue with these - fine. Yet they cracked and peeled and generally didn’t last, so… 😂
Many people struggle with basic activities of daily life. And if you are blissfully unaware, enjoy your able body but don’t be ableist. Much love ❤️
