easily the best video on the topic, too bad youtube is garbage now making this video pretty hard to find
Thanks. It's crazy old. I've thought about updating it. I uploaded this when UA-cam only allowed videos to be a few minutes long.
Dude , thank you , this video saved me alot of time and money. Thank you again.
I like that I searched rear tire removal and this video just happens to have the same year/model haha. Great tutorial thanks!
Great tutorial! I have a Sv gen 2 and the process is almost identical. Thank you
just removed the tire using this tutorial. Spot on, exactly what i needed. i have a 2004 sv650 and it was identical. had a small problem getting the disk between the brake pads. Did it solo. thanks for a great tutorial.
What an amazingly explained video, i've learnt soo much, Thanks man!
Thanks so much for posting this :)
This will help so much when i buy my sv650s
I know this video is years old but the information you've provided is priceless. Thank you, about to change out my rear tire with a bit more confidence!
13 years old and I'm watching and learning!
Real detailed gud job very simple now dat I seen dis saved me 100 bucks...
Very helpful, thank you.
an awesome bike and thanks for the video.
Awesome vid.
great video! thank you!
Depends on how far it "went" - Usually you can get away with just replacing the bearing and the dust seal - but it is possible you will need new spacers and a new axle.
@thepeazers We do, and we have a couple currently in the works.
thanks - learned a few things there! 👍
thanks a lot! super helpful. Although i do wish you would have added how to test things to make sure everything is working well in more detail, but its all good otherwise
Hey man could you do a dirt bike one? I have an 86 Yamaha TT 350 and have no idea what I'm doing
Do you have or could recommend a video on removing the rear wheel on a shaft driven bike? I have an 85 Yamaha Maxim 700 & can't seem to find any service manuals for it. Thanks in advance.
Can you recommend a stand that works for most bikes? Can't seem to find an appropriate 2018 cb1000r stand
I got a 2014 Yamaha Stryker is it the same to take off the rear tire
I noticed theres different weights for dead blow hammers. What size is that one you use on this video?
@lrnlrn Yep. its now in Florida, and last I heard the points leader in the lightweight twins class. :)
freakin awesome advice dude:) big Upz
@BenGuitar89 the disk doesn't touch the ground when a tire is mounted to the wheel
this deserves an emmy
I'm trying to put a tire hugger license plate and I need to take off the giant screw and nut to put it on the left side where the chain is. Is it as simple as taking it off and putting it back on.
It's pretty straightforward if you have the correct tools. You can see more details in my "lighter wheels" video. I disassemble the entire thing.
I've been messing with my rear axle bolt for 2 weeks and it still doesn't want to come out darlin roadwinn
Didn't mention how to remove the rear brake, but that's not too difficult. Just something everyone should be aware of.
ryan lundgren good on you for saying that...for people with no idea what they're doing they may not consider removing the brakes. What is common sense to many is clueless to others. :-)
That could be me luv. My back tire has seezed. I am new to fixing motorbikes. My Kymco ck1 125cc engined bike will not move its back wheel at all. I have bought it as a repair. Help please, as it could be coz I am firing the battery up, its nearly done. And I lost a screw end down into the motorbike inside somewhere so no garage. I am a lady, I cannot lift the beast Big Bertha is her name. I was told the back wheel was sticking? He wheeled it backwards into my front hall area, so it was wheeling then. I cannot understand what to do! Any help would be so appreciated guys. Thanks for this video tutorial. you rock xxx
You have a vid for a shaft drive?
I don't, sorry
@@CanyonChasers i figured it out.
It was actually quite simple.
Thanks for the reply.
'86 shadow VT700.
It's basically the same process as removing the bearing from the wheel.
did i see this bike for sale of barf?
05 cbr600rr this method would work I asume
I lost count how many times I said "thats what she said" hahahahahahahaha
Sarah -n- Tuned ua-cam.com/channels/HSbIfwVuec_BwUrYAqN_qw.html would appreciate your sense of humor. 🤣
did you skip the part where you removed the brake caliper?
I doubt it. On that bike the caliper stays stuck to the swingarm. But it's an old video. I think it was my very first upload.
como te enrollas tio............
Don't lay the wheel on the brake disk.
The both nuts are so tight that i can't take it off help
Wd40 did nothing
HOW DO YOU TAKE OFF THE MAIN FRAME??! XD

Ask Google. I have nothing to do with it.
