I found this and showed it to my family so they could see what type of work I did as I actually tore down and rebuilt equipment like this as a diesel mechanic. I think they appreciated me a bit more and it showed them the hard work and long hours I put in as a service tech so they can have the fine things of life.
Except for this exact engine series. The C175 has been a real disappointment for several marine operators. Poor efficiency and they require a lot of expensive maintenance. So much so that CAT has recently decided to discontinue the production of this engine.
@@bremerjohn Ok, then a CM25C or CM32C platform would have been the better choice in terms of reliability and low cost of ownership. Former MaK engines.
