The fish spatula is the most used item in my kitchen besides a knife and cutting board.

The best spatula imo is the Global Fish Spatula. It’s amazing for pancakes, eggs, not so good at burger smashing though. It’s dishwasher safe, since it’s entirely stainless steel, been using it for 2 years! Looks purrrfect.
Edit- I see you sell that one now! ❤

My personal favorite is the Cutco spatula. Gets under eggs, stirs ground meat and veggies and the handle makes it dishwasher safe. It gets used every day in my house.

I love my little red silicone spatula I bought at the dollar store.

I just use one of those rounded oxo ones. It’s the only one you need

My wife saw some great review of the Gir stuff and we went all in. I absolutely hate the damn things. Trust me, YOU DO NOT WANT THESE OR ANYTHING ELSE WITH SILICONE HANDLES! The silicone handles are bigger than they need to be and don’t slide against each other so unless you store them in a drawer they are a pain to put away. We have a crock next to the stove that holds our most used stuff and these stick to each other going in and out. I hate them. The silicone business end is great, but the handle is just awful. Did I mention I hate them? We got rid of them and replaced them with silicone with stainless steel handles.

I adore the narrow’ish’ oxo spatula. It has the thinnest front edge I’ve ever seen and meets everything with energy for flipping! I don’t use non-stick pans. Just use lots of cast iron and coated Dutch ovens.
Just curious if you tested the oxo spatula? (I gave 5 away as gifts and it got rave reviews!)

What happened to this series? I see only 2 testing episodes and then three recipes in the playlist. I'd love another take on equipment beyond ATK.

Rubber spatula/ scrapers, especially for heavier use/ batters.

Can anyone tell me what happened to the Lancaster Wooden Turner Spatula...not on Amazon and unsure who actually makes it. Thank you!

Not a fan of using metal spatulas for anything other than flipping meats. Even if you can safely scratch stainless steel or cast iron it doesn't mean you should

What is this love of the side camera? It's like a newscaster talking to the wrong camera. Very weird.

I always thought smashing a burger is bad because it squeezes the juices out. I swear everything today is the opposite of how things were taught 50 years ago. Also it’s absurd that she thinks that spatula isn’t dishwasher safe. It’s frightening to me how little knowledge young people have about running appliances. The cycles are so dumbed down on all dishwashers that it makes me crazy.

Smashing burgers IS bad. A smashburger is different. It's smashed at the beginning of cooking, but never after.

Also, wood isn't dishwasher safe. A dishwasher gets far too hot and dries out the wood too much.
