The biggest issue we ran into with other racks and to this day (although I am behind on my bedrack marketing) is the compliance with the bed cover * and bed side mounting system * installed.
Had that set up changed to up top overland mad a rack that goes with retrax for Tacoma I don’t think for Ford idk what withs r but migh work or they could make it very high Quality and do a lot of custom work
Great videos.. just recently got the same rack and saw the issue with the offset tonneau brackets I was wondering if you have more information about the sting and rubber gaskets you used?
Literally just used high-grade springs from Ace hardware rubber grommets cut to fit and a silicone adhesive to bond springs to grommets while allowing flex, all very DIY
HI where i can get those springs for the rack. I tought about that space too but my idea was use those rubber pads the AC guys use to support the units
When I'm loaded down it actually plants the rear more during high speed off roading. I was able to take sections of the Mojave trail in Baja mode at 70mph+ and the truck would go exactly where I pointed it in the dirt, around corners at speed without a wavy back end, which I like. On the pavement you can feel a bit of a difference in power loaded vs unloaded, but I think it's an advantage Offroad.
Thanks brother. I have a 2018 Raptor and I’m looking to do an overland setup. I currently have the bakflip g2, you think I’ll be able to keep the bakflip if I buy this max modular be racks with the tonneau cover brackets?
TheWhalen that’s exactly what they were made for. Owner runs a gen2 rap. The current iteration is the absolute best hard use true off-road camper tent set up
Sadly GFC website says: "Due to large order volume, camper orders placed today have an estimated start date of September 2021." Maybe if I get a Gen3 Raptor I'll reach out to them. Thanks for the suggestion.
Addictive Desert Designs has a rack that will hold up. I have one on my Raptor solid and well engineered.
What is “TheWhalen “ ? How did you come with your call sign ?
Doesn't look like it will work with a tonneau cover and has the tent up in the wind though unlike the KB voodoo one.

Hi. I really like the way you reenforce your voodoo rack with the spring. I have the same rack, do you mind tell me where you get the spring from
We fabricated ourselves, got the springs and makeshift rubber bases from ACE Hardware, then connected with a strong flexible polymer.

They are custom built, reach out to @techwithamouth on Instagram for details.
What brand front bumper ?
Behold! A few vlogs back the answer awaits! ua-cam.com/video/tNGJ6GxsSjo/v-deo.html
how's the powdercoat holding up? I really love the design of the kb voodoo but i know they've had bad reviews on the powdercoat.
No major issues only some minor rust spots around where the bed cover brackets and rack connect from friction, as expected.
Do you think that the raptor is sluggish with all of the weight on the back? Or have you regeared it?

Does this rack system work with the Retrax Pro XR? The brackets go under the rails?
In theory it should work with the Pro XR. I have the basic Retrax cover but may upgrade soon as it's been used and abused in 2 years of ownership
I’ve emailed the Voodoo guys about this and it does support it. So I went ahead and ordered they Retrax Pro XR.
What length is this?
58"
@@TheWhalen Looks great. Nice video. Looks like you still have some room in between the tailgate and the rack which is nice.
What height is that rack?
Alone 10" but with bed cover brackets about 12.5"

Gofastcampers or nothing
Those look cool can they hold up to hard offroad antics?
