I’m pretty sure the company I work for bought two Kenworth T800 trucks from the same place you got yours and all I can say is you are a true business man my friend. That truck is looking unbelievable. I can’t wait to show my coworkers and boss what you have made that truck look like. Thanks for taking the time to share all your video’s.
Hey Boss... a most instructive and satisfying clip! When I saw ‘outlet sensor’ in the description I had a flashback... when my oldest grandson was about a year old... he discovered an electrical outlet in the wall. He started making the rounds and found there were more. By the time we discovered his fascination he had become a full blown outlet sensor. His stubby little fingers were too fat to fit in the little holes so he grabbed his T-Rex and tried poking the tail into them. Fortunately it was plastic... so... No need to replace our outlet sensor. We just capped them and he lost interest! Now.... on the the weeping power steering. I want to see if tender loving care can gladden its heart!!!
I remember vividly an incident that occurred when I was very young. It’s pretty much the only memory I have from that young of an age. I rem playing with my moms keys as I waddled around. Mom was in the kitchen and dad was in the bathroom with the door open. I decided to stick a key in the electrical socket that was in the hallway. I remember a really bright white light and a sound. I fell backwards and the keys were hanging out of the wall socket. There was a big black mark around the keys too. I remember my dad poking his head out the bathroom and yelling “oh sh*t!” And then the came running down the hall with his pants around his ankles. Mom came from the kitchen and was yelling too. I was YOUNG but I somehow vividly remember all that to this day. I really don’t have any other memories from that age. Lol. Guess stressful situations really stick with us. 😂
The only other memory I have from around that time was when I found a screw on the ground and ate it. Hahahaha. Still have the xrays with the screw in my stomach. It passed eventually but mom was not happy sorting through every one of my poos for a few days until she found it. 😂
@@TsunauticusIV oh man... you got of to a good start... did you grow up to be an electrician? A hardware salesman? Early learning can lead to lifelong careers!!!
Nice satisfying repair video. Best tip you mentinoed: Use some never-seize and treat your future self to an easier repair down the road! You're so right. I have thanked my former self for using never seize on many occasions, although that stuff seems to spread like gas on a fire around my tools and clothes! I've told you before but that is a sweet ass truck!
WOW! Great Quality of Clarity in this video and well presented. (SAG AWARD time! for you) I had to watch this one twice: Once to just look at that PAINT and I know what it is (IMRON) but it has to have been Clear Coated, sanded & buffed as well! Man, all the panels look perfecto & flat. Beautiful machine! (And YOU, 'chooch') put dirt in it! Thanks as that was very well done & educational & VERY costly (Emission nonsense!) Thank you for another one! Sonny (CT)
Great video! Easy to understand for us non mechanics. It always amazes me at where they are able to stuff all the emissions packages on these trucks and machines. Those engineers get creative.
Great to see you taking care of the problems now while you’re slow time hopefully everything cooperates during the summer when you don’t want to have to repair anything!!!!MIKE takin care of business!!!!
Back on site !!! missed that . I have never seen one of those sensors come out that easy well done kenworth don’t try that with a frightliner you won’t be as happy. Another job well done Dirt Boss
Good to see you Big Mike! Nice work, as usual, but I could just FEEL that cold. Too bad they couldn't at least reset your clock when they were updating that software.....
My buddie (whose truck I have on the channel T660) is actually getting his emissions system baked and I believe the same sensor replaced while they’re in there. I really like the kenworth trucks.
Awesome content mike, an yeah more working on stuff content, gets some of the best view my peeps, thanks for sharing, be waiting for an upload from ya ✊💪👍🇱🇷
Great video, I know what it's like working on equipment in the cold! I saw a few code scanners for about $200.00 I'm not sure how good they are but it may save you some $$ in the long run...or cost you more lol
Nice video Mike! I feel for ya working outside in the Jan cold brother. Glad you got it sorted out, what a PIA with emissions stuff right? Work safe, stay warm, we''ll see ya on the next 1 Doug@ the "ranch"
I’m not looking forward to emissions truck but I know it’s coming Eventually .be careful when you take apart that PTO my buddy just blew his transmission up because he didn’t shim it right For the gear lash.
Don't own a dump truck *yet Or know what an NOx Senor is But im here to support ya Happy new year! Were slow as hell right now :(. Busy quoting for next spring though!
Hey quick off topic question, do you think your excavator stump ripper was worth it? I think I need one for one of our 30 ton excavators have a big grubbing job coming up.
My truck is derating me to 48 mph an only 1600 rpms i did a dpf filter clean but still nothing, you think this will help, the code said an O2 sensor be after replaced still not speed or rpms
How can that truck have 15,0578 hours on it, its a 2013 truck. What did the former owner do, run it two shifts year round? It had to be parked during the winter months. I see you put 42,000 miles on it in one year, from what I watched of your videos how did that happen, you did not move that much dirt?
60k annual 5k month 1250 week 208 daily.. plus or minus when you're just strictly in the trucking business and own 50 trucks they run ! As far as the hours trucks run 10 hours a day average.. The guy I bought it from had 50 trucks in NYC very little downtime.. I know quite a few trucking companies around here that crush that for miles. Also I don't film everything that goes on but no I did not put 42K on the truck. Thanks buddy
As annoying and pointless as the emissions stuff may seem to some people, the amount of soot and pollutants that came out of trucks and cars before it all was astonishing. There is a reason older buildings in cities got so dirty. Glad to have the emissions controls. Just look at what major cities in China look like with the haze and smog
Look at China's air quality because they don't have emissions standards in place. Fuck the young and old who have breathing problem, all for the mighty dollar.

What made you go with the Kenworth 800 over say a pre emissions Peterbilt? was it opportunity, or just preference?
Kenworth T800.. preference
Nice truck , looking for a good driver , lots of dump trucks experience?
Rick are you local ?
Hey quick off topic question, do you think your excavator stump ripper was worth it? I think I need one for one of our 30 ton excavators have a big grubbing job coming up.
Definitely 💯 i would never do a stumpings job with a bucket again.. 80% more efficient with less mess.
NOx = Nitrogen Oxides. A couple of pollutants in the exhaust. The EGR reduces the NOx in exhaust.
Thanks for the input
My truck is derating me to 48 mph an only 1600 rpms i did a dpf filter clean but still nothing, you think this will help, the code said an O2 sensor be after replaced still not speed or rpms
I'm not sure but throwing parts at it gets expensive get the full delete
There was another o2 sensor bad by the filter an that fixed the issue.
@@ChanceChelios nice
Get a small forced air propane or kerosene heater. Better than freezing yourself when working outside on your equiptment.
Yeah i have a couple of them good point
How much would they have charged you to change that Mike?
They gave me a price of $1,100 ! That was with the diagnostic also.
@@DIRT-BOSS that didn’t take you long we’re do you get your Cummings parts?

Don if you know KW's you know around the amount.. I'm modest when it comes to talking about the financial end of the biz for other reasons.

They know how to add money to the cost of a truck when they charge like that for parts.
You're not kidding
Did you say $600 for the part/sensor? Jesus wept!
Yes that's the cost
Problem it’s all the emission crap. If it wasn’t for them you wouldn’t be doing that

$600 bucks for a sensor, what's the world coming to? Wait don't answer that. 🤷♂️
