Although we know it will never happen, his insurance company should give him back some money. He potentially saved them a lot of money.

That pole was held up by tension. Outages> leaning poles always. Having well over a half a million out with way worse situations I think dale was just fine

Good old Dale. He's never had arc/flash training. Glad he's OK.

Lmao there's a leaning pole down the road from me I personally told DTE they need to replace it before it falls over.. they don't care about anything except negative press

Its pretty sad when you have to go on national television to get a broken pole fixed

He did the right thing to protect his home
The power companies don’t give a crap if your home burns down

Ok so let's wait tell the man has no house to call home before they would do anything it's a shame that it took the news to report on this matter before they even did there job's glad the man didn't lose his home and thankfully they did come out and fix it before the man lost his home due to there poor judgement on coming out and fixing it right away

I don't think that 2 by 4 would do any good at all. It might even attract unwanted attention... Like kids jumping out swinging off of it. Even him being in the line of where the pole might fall might end up hurting him bad. I get it, but not the method I'd employ

Hey, Dale. I was out of power for 4 days. Your limp pole was nothing compared to the carnage out where I’m at. Way to tie up a crew for your own benefit. Take your victory lap, Richard.
