I think the overarching idea to Thomas' actions are that Bruce would never be happy as Batman. And he was trying to break not physically, but break him from being Batman. Taking him to his happiest point as Batman before making him come to terms with the fact that even trying his best and everything being perfect, he didn't love Selina, because he had to be Batman and the vow to be Batman would always be more important to him. He wouldn't fully be happy. So Thomas wanted him to see that, and the only way for his son to actually be happy is give up being Batman, in body and mind. Regain what he lost, his mother and father. Be able to be at peace, but Bruce isn't giving up Batman without a fight.
In a way, it shows how much he truly loves his son. Being Batman is a nightmare and a curse, and Thomas is doing everything in his power to stop Bruce from continuing that life.

All they're doing--if they're not killing him--is making him even stronger. If I was in the Bat family, I'd track down Selina & get her on board. Obviously this Batman in pain is worse off than Batman being happy, so I fully disagree with the "Happiness Ruins Batman" title--it saves him. When (not if) Bruce comes out of this on the other side--I'd want him to have Selina & that they'd be together. Been reading Catwoman's comics (which i'm surprised Comicstorian has not mentioned yet they've mentioned Nightwing & Doomsday Clock🤨) that picks up right after the non-wedding issue. Selina's a mess without him as well. I soooo badly want them to end up together after all of this!
They're back, City of Bane found Bane and Thomas took over Gotham, Bruce is unconscious but he's also one on the most wanted men, So Selena stole a fortune to hide him, He finally woke up. His first words, I Lost. Damian went back to Gotham to be Robin but it backfired and Bane broke Alfred's neck in-front of Damian and now he's their new hostage. Thomas and Bane's. Bruce is willing to stand and fight one last time knowing that he will die but Selena tales him no, You dumb, beautiful man or something like that, To get our City back. Selena says to Bruce let me teach you.

Both batmen should return but Thomas Wayne needs to learn how to just deal with the fact you cannot change a version of your kid who became Batman rather you can only fight alongside him to ensure no kid watches their parent die..

Because the plot needs him to lose... then he has a broken back and is dehydrated riding through the desert after the ass kickings... Beats up the other Batman. Because the plot needs him to win.

Its times like these that remind me how easily batman could take care of his rogues gallery especially that part in arkham knight where you play as the joker and take them all down using the batmobile expet batman woulda just beat them instead of shooting then
Very solid run, the story, the action, artwork, lore used, and plot twists all culminated into a fantastic saga. Had a bit of every type of genre in it too. Would be the perfect storyline to fit in the big screen. Too bad it won't happen anytime soon. Would need to implement alot of story background first.

The deeper this story goes it becomes more unrealistic. I mean at first he doesn't does marry Catwoman because of cope out reason and his own father does all of this so he wouldn't be Batman anymore. It just doesn't seem logically. It starting to become overkill. A cool story arc with irrational conclusions.

Very solid run, the story, the action, artwork, lore used, and plot twists all culminated into a fantastic saga. Had a bit of every type of genre in it too. Would be the perfect storyline to fit in the big screen. Too bad it won't happen anytime soon. Would need to implement alot of story background first.

The deeper this story goes it becomes more unrealistic. I mean at first he doesn't does marry Catwoman because of cope out reason and his own father does all of this so he wouldn't be Batman anymore. It just doesn't seem logically. It starting to become overkill. A cool story arc with irrational conclusions.
