  • This is the Largest SYMPHONIC Gong in the World. It measures over 7ft in diameter and was made in East Germany by the world renown craftsmen of Paiste, Inc. exclusively for Mark Temperato Ministries in 1996.

    THank you..The suit was made in South Afica for me in 1984. It is a shark skin and is my favorite drum solo suit. It is showing its age...but I like it. all the best...RevM

    The sweet spots are at 3 and 7 o'clock but I listened to this at 11:30 so it didn't sound as good.

    I would love to hear at least an hour version of this gong being played in stereo with all the harmonics it can create. Better yet, and I know it is a long shot but I would love to have a go. Awesome work of art! Thanks for sharing!

      Let me tell you Howard, I ONCE hit it too hard for about a minute or 2 ...my eyes went blury-ish on and off for two weeks. When I had it made in 1996...Erik Paiste told me that the bass frequencies could disintegrate organs! I do believe that....lol... It is to be respected for sure. All the best...Mark

      Old movie sound artists (Foley) used large pieces of sheet metal to make thunder sounds... heckuva lot cheaper than this gong!

      Steve Cartoon I get a sh*toad of tones out of one 24 ride, a Giant Beat. I think 6 or 7. You can even smack it like a big crash, think Pensavita by Art Blakey.

      if the bell is articulate and produces alot of different tones depending on stick position the whole cymbal will be good cause every stick every stick position,playing technique sounds different

      Sounds like as he gets it louder and louder, the pitch goes higher up. I hear B, but when he scrapes his sticks on the edge, I hear F#.
