Hi there, yes, the first few rows are just plain stocking stitch, you can start this either from ribbing, a hem or just a couple of rows of plain knitting before starting the pattern. Hope this helps.
Hi, I have just bought the same machine. Can you post a video on how to change colours with punch cards ? Thank you ! Your video is very clear ! Thanks very much !
Oh thanks for such a great video! I have just acquired this machine and am having SO much trouble just making a swatch. There is no knitting of any kind happening, just a big tangle where the yarn doesn't latch properly to the needles and just tangles itself. I have replaced the sponge bar, so unfortunately that wasn't the problem. I must be doing something wrong. Can you help me! I have no one that can assist!
I've got the HK160 mid-gauge machine which includes these punchcards (18 stitch repeat), and I tried to make a sweater using this very same stitch. However, I didn't progress past the back of the garment because it came up a quarter of the size that it should have been. I've only ever done plain stocking stitch jumpers in a variety of other yarns and they've always worked very well. I don't know how to do a tension swatch for tuck stitch - do you know if (or how) I can adjust a simple stocking stitch sweater pattern for tuck/slip stitch?
hi! thank you for sharing!! I have the same machine, model 323 and I noticed that this model does not have the arm levers! Do you know how to make the 3 color tuck Stitch with this same card that you used? it's on the instructin manual, but it only works with the arm levers that the 321 model has! thank you!!
Lent my Knitmaster 321 and it was returned minus instruction manual and did not discover till much later. Have downloaded a copy but card patterns pages 95 - 101 are blurred. Please could anybody help out with copies would be must grateful.
Thanks for the helpful and practical video - can't wait to try out your suggestions on my different punchcards.
