I think you hit it with 2400 volts in one quick shot from a large capacitor bank. All the box is is a 2 huge coil obviously and to magnatize the object must be between two of the same poles polarizing or pushing away from eachother affecting what you magnatize.i seen the 2400 volt number in a actual manurfacturing video in not guessing.
Not much for those iron oxide magnets, but Neo's can take 220 volts @ 100 amps or more pulse.
