Great reaction, more 2pac!!
Check out my Tupac playlist.
I'm not a fan of most of this man's music but I loved his political views and him as an actor. Great Reaction!✨✨✨✨
Thank you!
smart move to listen to OG version THEN the remix
Thanks! I'm all about chronology.
Remix 👍🏽
That is the correct answer, Carlos. 😂😂
LL had a single called I Shot Ya after Pac got shot and the remix had some of Pac's enemies on it like Prodigy of Mobb Deep. So Pac took it personally.
That's sad. I think Tupac admired LL.
Meanwhile people doing Biggie documentary says L.L. made “I shot ya” in response to Biggie dissing him on “WHO shot ya”..🤦🏾♂️ L.L. was also said to have been in the studio when Big recorded the song, possibly even supposed to have been on it…smdh.
@@trocktp So Biggie dissed LL on Who Shot Ya but LL was supposedly in the studio when it was recorded?
I always liked the guitar riff in the OG it set a good mood, but i believe it is a Santana riff and couldn't be cleared. Same with Words to My Firstborn, Maze - Aint it Strange was heavily sampled.. DJ Quik and Johnny J had great production to match Pacs sound in that era. Keep up the great reaction videos ✌️
Thanks! I appreciate that.
In this case I totally prefer the remix, the OG version was NOT released for a reason.
No Doubt the OG with Danny Boy singing the hook is WAYYYYY BETTER.
WAYYYY?
Can't even hear his voice
Ma FAV 2pac song ❤❤❤
Do you prefer the remix?
@@ABoomerReacts I'm on the original version.
100% :)
Good choice Brian! I prefer the remix myself ..... always have it bumping in the car when I'm in that Pac mood.
I always liked the Remix more
That is the correct answer. 😜😜
Great reaction!
He's talking about the forgotten. He doesn't want the youth to join a gang, but if they are or did, it's who he's talking to and talking about.
LL was in the studio when BIG laid Who Shot Ya? He even took a quick jab at LL in the lyrics. That's why LL made I Shot Ya (please add to your list: remix and original). Pac heard both these when he was all shot up and in prison. Between his own paranoia and Suge fueling him he took it all as disrespect.
It's not always the case but for this song I prefer the OG to the remix.
Thanks! I Shot Ya is on my list. It's worth an (LP vs Remix) reaction video?
@@ABoomerReacts Depends lol. It definetely falls out of your particular preferences. They are both lyrical songs. Its not the typical 3 verses, 2 hooks format. Fat Joe had the best verse on the remix. LL killed both versions.
There is another version of the song with Pac doing the chorus and Outlawz rapping.
Was that version done while Pac was alive?
@@ABoomerReacts Not sure when it was done. It's the same as the OG one but with Outlawz doing their verses.

It's recently been made public?
@@ABoomerReacts Yes, from the dear Mama documentary
@@raiden6852 I was going to start that today.
To answer your question about Natasha. She song the hook/chorus on it's the thuggish ruggish bone by bone thugs and harmony.
Ah! I knew you guys would remember. Thanks!
@ABoomerReacts 😂 would love to see your reaction to scarface's song homies and thugs. It features master p and 2pac. One of my all time favorite songs. Have a good one.
@@cmac7721 That song is on my must-do list. 😁😁
It's strange, but somehow interesting that the verses conflict with each other.
I think it may be a reflection of what Pac meant when he said he's just as confused as every other person in his youth.
Good point.
OG is the only answer in my opinion. There are CDQ quality OG's on youtube and in my opinion is the apex version of the track.
Is OG the answer all the time? Or do you like certain Pac remixes more?
@@ABoomerReacts Well In my personal opinion, mostly. I prefer the Changes Remix, I prefer the Thug Mansion Remix with Anthony Hamilton. Until The And Of Time was better remixed but a lot of stuff I prefer OG. The energy and beat on OG Lil Homies is better for me. The CDQ version mostly leaves out the screaming outro
OG version all day mate All out by 2Pac OG version is another one to hear
Is it worthy of an OG vs Remix video?
@@ABoomerReacts You could do but nothing beats the OG version for me 👍🏿
Yes, "All Out" would be a nice OG vs. Remix. (Also because that OG is probably the last one he recorded).
"When I Get Free" isn't a good og vs remix, because OG and remix are almost the same.
@@maartengroot9326 Thanks, Maarten! I appreciate the assistance.
@@ABoomerReacts Hello Brian! Nice to see you again :)
Both r good! But I'ma og fan! What they should have done is remastered it n fixed up the og one n released the original
There's a good argument for doing just that.
I like the remix version but I'm on the other side, I prefer the OG version way more haha. It's one of my favourite beats ever from a Pac song, we indeed have hard time decoding the lyrics but Pac's rage and passion on this version is amazing.
By the way if you're looking for a good car song, I highly recommend "Come And Take A Ride" by Mad CJ Mac :)
Thanks! I'm always looking for good car songs. I'll add it to my list.
Yea the OG version was never Mastered like alot of Pac OG tracks...
Still wish they would go back and re- master the OGs bc the beats were better in my opinion, but no disrespect to the newer versions which finally grew on me with time 👍🏼
A lot of people prefer Pac's OGs because they say it was recorded the way he wanted. And I say: if the song turned out just the way Pac wanted, how come it didn't make it onto an album? He might've thought it needed work.

Great reaction... love the looney toons poster in the background! I recently watched "Dear Mama" a documentary on Afeni Shakur and 2pac and it moved me to tears... the hughs brothers directed it... worth checking out on streaming applications (Amazon, UA-cam TV, Hulu etc). It's 5 episodes long and really really well done. Alot of 2pac's OG recordings are way different compared to this one. Notably, Lie To Kick It, Fuck All Yall (where he disses Wendy Williams for claiming he was raped in prison) His most amazing stuff is his demo tapes from before he recorded a CD ... he rapped about Black Panthers and topics taken from Shakespeare "Something Wicked This Way Comes" ... its kind of a precursor to what he would become to be!
Thanks, Zach! Someone else told me about this series. I will def watch it. Thanks for the OG vs Remix suggestions. I appreciate the help.
Did they ever put this OG version on any kind of official release? If not, it's a real real shame. It's WAY better! I sometimes wonder how much money and shine Johnny J and other OG producers missed out on when all these unreleased songs were getting remixed and then released.
Good question.
The old beat has more of a personally in my opinion. The remix is bland where i would forget how it sounds
You're entitled to your opinion. Even if it's wrong. 😂😂
