And when he says: "𝙎𝙤, 𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙖 𝘽.𝘾. 𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙚 '𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪'𝙧𝙚 𝙝𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮", he's quoting one of Big Daddy Kane's most legendary/iconic bars. And lastly, Em jokingly says in the ending verse: "𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒆'𝒓𝒆 𝒈𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝒕𝒐 𝑪𝒂𝒍𝒊 𝒔𝒐 𝒔𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒃𝒍𝒐𝒘 𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒂𝒙 (𝒔𝒂𝒄𝒌𝒔)". This also is an ode to the another one of LL's classic songs "𝘎𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘉𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘊𝘢𝘭𝘪".

I've been listening to LL since 85 and I can tell you that he's sharper than ever, giving much younger MCs a run for their money. With Nas, Common and Pete, MC Lyte, and a few other cats in their 50s dropping new albums, it's a great time for "adult contemporary Hip Hop."

Also, Asshole by Eminem is one that’s flown under the radar. It’s one of my favourite Eminem songs, and no one’s heard of it.

Pete would later sample a line from the last verse, and made a really good track with InI (mind over matter). The album, "Center of Attention", has a lot of really good tracks, and a feature list that's craayzaay! Notable tracks on the LP: - The Life I Live - To each his own - Step Up - Grown Man Sport (my favorite)! You oughta check it out. It's worth the listen.

what the veterans have taught us this year is that the 90's had the GREATEST RAPPERS and we didn't know then that we we're spoiled. Nas, Common, LL, all these GOATS are in their 50s or near 50 still dropping heat!

I just couldn't for the life of me believe that 2 completely different emcees (one gangster rap/ one back pack consciousness) were of the same ilk. Dan the Automator is one of the more underappreciated dj's of the 90's/early 2000's. He's had his hands on some of the greatest underground tracks.
